loaded old save..managed my battles better..made it to 10th floor :O lets see what happens...hmmm

I feel kinda dumb for asking this but how do I apply the patch? Or rather, what folder should I drop the files into? I don't want to risk replacing/deleting a file and having everything mess up.
With this and most other Ren'py games, you just drop the .rpy file(s) in the folder named "game".

Like the comment above mine mentioned, drop all the files in the 'game' folder of the game itself. The 'game' folder is the one with all the other .rpy files in it (override them if asked). But don't forget to copy the image folder to (so you also have to merge the 'image' folder of the patch with the 'image' folder inside the 'game' folder)
Also a couple of suggestions and a bug report:
Some sort of explanation of stats would be nice (unless I'm blind/stupid and missed it). HP/SP are self-explanatory, Strength and Guard get explained in the tutorial if I remember correctly, but I still have no idea what agility/luck do. I can kinda guess at them, but it'd be nice to know before investing those level up points.
Same with the social stats. Efficiency becomes apparent once you level it enough to get the bonus stat proc while training it, but up until then you just have to hope you're not wasting your time by leveling it. Again no idea what Charm/Boldness/Kindness actually do.
Another minor suggestion would be some indication of a rainy day other than a sound effect. No immediate way to tell if you have sound off, and even when it's on it's rather hard to hear it over the music.
I encountered the bug during the second boss fight. Only happens during this fight, or possibly all boss fights. If the last move you do to win the fight is to use a character card to sacrifice another card to attack, the sacrificed card gets stuck on the screen and the only way to remove it is to get into another battle. Doesn't happen in regular fights since there's a Battle Results screen which I'm assuming clears it off, but the boss fight doesn't have that screen.

You have to click "Turns Left:", a grey text in the top left of the card battle screen. Then you pass.
This should be a bit more clear, probably.

You can find Health items in Bright World that you can use outside of combat. You can also exit Bright World with a Teleporter item and heal the entire party by sleeping in your bed

Played through all of the 0.1 demo and as can be expected from a Bright Sun release, top-notch stuff. There's more here in a "0.1" than some of the demos on this site end up with after a year of supposed work.

- After you max with a girl, what can you do with her? No sex scene like with HSCS?
- When choosing a color for a girl, have her image border get that color as well. It makes it easier to distinguish who does what.
- Better interface for the cards. All text on the cards is a bit boring. Make the traits bold and have color.
- Be able to use items during battle. Had one fight I got into that I had to get myself get killed in order to get out of. There's no escape as well. Not a good experience.
Well so far so good as always some tweaks needed but all in all good job. Managed to get congratulations you are at end of this build save now to continue next build. I mean all you can do is gift and hang once maxed girls relationship nothing more for now it seems. Also poster right above me on girls is a bit on money when you run out of SP battle is stuck until you die by passing turn, or game exceptions out and do a rollback. I have had no SP left and only cards out of 180 are all for 3 that had no SP left. I am not sure if making sense or not.

I just released a pretty big patch for the game (version 0.1.2). It fixes some things (see the change log), but the biggest change is the much requested option to keep fighting after you run out of SP. You can now sacrifice the character with the highest amount of HP left to heal all other party members for 20% of their total SP as a last attempt to keep fighting. If you click on the Heroic Sacrifice button 4 times, you'll sacrifice all 4 characters and quickly game over if you want to do that
OK thanks LOL suicide to get out of a battle cool.. Had fun playing so hoping you don't stop adding to it. Still playing different routes on your others as well even though they basically dead in water if you didn't abandon em already.

You need to download the base version (version 0.1) and download the 0.1.2 patch if you want a few bugs fixed and an extra card set. You don't need the 0.1.1 patch though
