Al Lowe isn't opposed to making another one, the problem is the guy who bought the rights to it was an abusive asshole (Larry Reloaded). Luckily, the legacy he created will never die, as long as we have great games like this to play.

It's not out of the question, keep in mind that the various tasks don't take the same amout of time, I would say the art takes the most time, and that is almost done. You can also see the shaded part that is not done, but still started, like the code is 25% done, but around 45% has been worked on. The art is 79% done, but like 90% started.

Art was always %100 in short time but coding is slow.
I don't know, maybe there's something with DC's progress bar but i think his coders kinda lazy.
Also posing too, as all we know art should take more time but not in this game i guess.
Maybe it's because he already have characters artsets and using them by modifying i guess.
Coders are lazy. But it's ok, it's just a porn game, not the end of the world.
The reason the art fills up first, is because everything else is dependent upon it. You can't do the posing without the art to pose, and you can't code the game without the art to do it with either. There is an order these things have to be done in. I don't know how many coders DC has on the team now, but it used to be just him, and I am pretty sure he is still doing a lot of it himself. There is also the writing, which isn't listed in there. It's always the last few % that take the longest. XD

As far as things go, DC is basically only drawing and planing/supervising the story at this point. He doesn't code or pose at all and most of the actual writing is done by sploosh and catbug as far as I'm aware. Else he once mentioned that his wife does most of the financial stuff.
When it comes to coding and posing it's certainly true that most tasks can only be really finished once the art is done so we never really know how fast it could go.
He said a few times now he would like to release the update on halloween so I guess there's a chance they'll get it done. Though we certainly don't know if that's going to work out... I'm somewhat doubtful but I'd be happy to be suprised.

Game Takes FOREVER to start up.
Is anyone else experiencing Super long start up times on Summertime Saga? Like 2 to 3 minutes or more? I revisited the game after a couple of months once I looked at the Cookie jar for new Roxxy scenes but now its Very slow to start. Saves take really long to load also. Should I delete some saves? Is my persistent file too big at 1.4 mb? I'm at a loss for explanations.

It's a known problem since the last update, especially on andriod. I guess they'll try to fix it in the next versions but right now there's nothing that can be done- at least as far as I'm aware.
Just to be fair, DC likes to troll a lot, especially when people ask questions about content which is obviously a story spoiler. I guess even more so when it's the biggest possible spoiler in the game at this moment. So I wouldn't take both ways too serious. He says for more than a year now it's going to be a schoolgirl who is currently in the game, yet denies it's Eve, Ronda or anybody else when people ask about it. I guess everybody can make his own mind up about that. To me it's quite clear that we won't know until that update actually drops and that we won't see or hear about it on stream or anywhere else.

If I recall correctly I've read somewhere a while back that this is due to the last RenPy update, nothing to do with the game. So nothing we can do about it. I've experienced the same with a few games already, but I may be wrong here.
