I didnt say that, its just a butterfly effect. For Melissa, you messed with a fucking drug dealer who has a loaded gun 24/7 by his side, she even stole his money and some kind of important key ( probably related to drug or weapons cabine sth like that ), in short, a very dangerous criminal. He has a clear motive. You also cannot overlook Ana or Dick, they also have their motives.
Anw I dont think its too much like what you said, or maybe you are underestimating how bad people can be.
But the issue is that the villains as they are are so cartoonish I could never take them seriously. Every time they showed up it felt like it was wrenched in to the ACTUAL story of the game, which sure as fuck isn't about Peter. Same thing to a lesser degree with Ana. Dick... he's even more laughable. Tonally it doesn't work. Peter never really seems dangerous, ever, mainly because he doesn't seem real. Even in the scene that opens Ep 6 he's just a cartoon. Assuming that HE'S the one who set the fire... it just doesn't work for me because HE'S not that important. He exists as a plot device to show why Melissa is broken, and a poorly executed one at that.

When I say that the burning house comes out of nowhere it does.

Hell the main characters don't even take him seriously. Call the cops, say hey this ex-con broke into our house and tried to rape me! At the very least. But nope... let's go happy camping instead. Which is fine, I much prefer the actual good part of the game which is the character interactions and stuff like that. But the situation isn't treated with gravity by the characters, so why should it be treated like that by the player?

And even IF you say the groundwork was well layed out for Peter, then you still have the scene itself coming out of nowhere. You need to set up why the girls are there, you need to set up why they are unconscious and didn't apparently even make an attempt at escape (They were on the second floor, you pretty much jump and take your chances in that situation) and all of that. He took a shortcut around all of that in order to make the final choice. That's another reason it feels cheap.

I got a hunch this is gonna be a bittersweet thing. It doesnt feel like this'll go down the "hey liam survives and you get to have threesomes all day" road. We're in for some heartbreak soon enough. At least, weirdly I hope for that.

Agree with everything here.

And the decision to actually lie to the police in this situation...
Just Why?!

It felt like a setup by the author in this moment, I, as a player, was absolutely sure that this was a Chekhov's gun being loaded, and expected this to come back to haunt, even if I honestly did not expect the magnitude of it.

The decision how to handle the police felt like something the player should have had more control in. It was the first time in the game I felt significantly railroaded.

Thats subjective, i cannot say i agree with you here.

It stated in the game that Peter probably had some connections with cops, so the MC didnt risk it.

IMO I think the author didnt reveal many information about the the villians, in order to let us guess the culprit. I mean at this point atleast 3 person could do that. Peter is obviously, Ana is a mysterious bitch, she cheated but also was jealous with the MC, she could be a psychopath or not we didnt know yet, her acting is way too good heck even the MC didnt understand her. Dick is a type of douchebag who acts before thinks.

All of your questions here will be answered in future narrative, i dont see them matter atm.

I also have to agree with @Burt Reynolds Mustache , this episode did seem a bit disjointed, I checked in the code at times to make sure I wasn't skipping scenes/images due to bugs at a few points.

The dialogue is well written, the characters are good, the 'downtime' and intimate moments are well written and executed, but the melodrama is just weird. I'm not saying that there can't be intense scenes, depressing moments, etc in adult games; developers like Philly are very good at it, I'm just not keen on how DrPinkCake seems to focus more on the "shock" of the scene rather than how it affects the characters.

I know the developer is no longer interested in feedback, but for what it's worth:

Man, this whole chapter was a huge downer. It does a great job at highlighting how much drama there is... a little too much drama. Bad things happen to these characters way too often. It's like Final Destination. There's no breathing room. We're just barely diving into a story of having to choose one girl over the other, and we're already at "DECIDE THEIR FATE!!!! CHOOSE YOUR DESTINY!!!!!".

Damn... can we slow down a little bit?
