That said, grimheim may be rectification, but the game may be different, and since patreon doesn't allow rape, grimheim will have to remove the rape setting, which is very regrettable. And it's hard to imagine how long grimheim's patreon could audit, nor is it clear that grimheim is still making games.
I don't think Grimhelm will remove the rape aspect of the game. Mostly because this is the first time they have even done Patreon at all, and like @AugoeidesCrowley said, they don't seem to care much about it. Their previous games have all been finished and distributed without the help of Patreon, so I think the same could be true for this one. Another reason I don't think the rape will have to be removed is that I know of some other h-games that still have that in there while still having a Patreon page for the game.

That's true, but Grimmelm's funding may be tight, this time more money than previous game development, because it's perfect, and people who have been sponsoring Grimhelm, they can't see new updates, don't know How long does it take for all the processes to complete the game? can only wait before. In fact, Grimhelm can communicate to some players through wordpress, but his wordpress is like dead. This is very confusing, and it is possible to suddenly update that he is not dead, as before.

I wouldn't worry too much about their financial situation. I only know their public comments through Wordpress and Patreon, but I got the impression that they made these games, more or less, for shits and giggles plus some money from them on the side. One big lend to this thought process is that they didn't make a big deal about Patreon, and even stated that it was originally a means of motivating them to finish Alien Quest.

Also, the fact that they prefer to FINISH (<-- definitely requires bold highlight and caps) their games, rather than drag out their production over years (and charge very little for them, versus the obvious hundreds they would have made over the months via subscription) kind of indicates that their in no financial stress. Although, I may be putting them on a pedestal more than they deserve, either way, I wouldn't worry so much. More so than the many other developers found on these forums, I feel like they'll finish the game, if not for their own drive/ego.

Me and others have had to post so many times explaining the situation as best we know it, yet people still ignore our posts and complain, ignorant of the situation.

I should point out, that most of the people here are not even paying for his game, and probably have not been following their content for that long. So I don't think you really get to complain about something that your getting for free, and what is probably going to be on par with AAA games, in terms of quality for what would normally be casually dismissed as a "Sexy Metroidvania", as it is clearly proven to be pretty damn fun compared to others.

The developer has been really stressed out about all of the time and effort he has already put into this game, as it is. I doubt he comes here to read these comments, but I'm sure if he did, their not going to motivate him to finish (what we all obviously agree) a good product.

Chill out and wait, the current game already has a large amount of content. Even if it takes him until 2019, as long as they finish the game, I'll be happy.

Not shocking if they went to enty (The Japanese patreon)
He lives in the U.S based on what I've read before. Wouldn't that be counter-productive? (Unless enty doesn't tax him the moon, the sky and the ground he walks in. Then yeah, I can see that.)

Alas! mainly the fact that grimheim has been missing all along, which makes people anxious, because grimheim has received a lot of money from his supporters, it's impossible for him to give up making games, just because he kept his supporters waiting too long.

Seems to be some misinformation here. First of all, he didn't really have a lot of supporters. Not a lot of people outside of this Thread and his minor blog really know about him, so he really didn't have a lot of supporters. I think before he froze his own Patreon account, he only had like 10 supports or so.

Second, I'm pretty sure the Pledges were set at $10, and so that supports only paid after the game was released, I could be wrong, but none of that matters, because he eventually froze his own account before the big Patreon crackdown, stating that he didn't really like the site, so it's possible he went to Enty or somewhere else. Maybe he predicted the shitstorm that was about to strike?

Patreon supporters only have 10? I remember there were 600 or so grimhelm customers who paid for it, and I don't think it's possible to have 10 supporters. Patreon's page says grimhelm's income is about $700 a month. A supporter pays $12 or $6 a month, so only 10 supporters I don't think are likely.

he has a dev blog here too, he only updated it once or twice a year tops. It'll be the same now. I'm sure his Patreon is under review because of him not accepting payments anyway, but I do understand the beastiality side I guess?

this link still works, he has 713 patrons at the time of writing this and the minimum amount you can pledge is $5, so he was taking in over $3000 a month at the very least. He was just working too slow and felt bad about taking money when content wasn't getting released on time which was very big & respectful of him. I think the guy's amazing tbh.

When I said that he had a minor blog, that was the site I was referring to. As for people pointing out he had a bunch of supporters, I said "I think before he froze his own Patreon account, he only had like 10 supports or so", I never said it was fact. If you read my previous posts on other pages, I also haven't seen his Patreon since like the beginning of this year, back before Grimhelm's hiatus.

At the end of the day, whether they were making money or not, they chose to discontinue with Patreon, and his Enty seems dead as well. Everyone chill out. Jeez. Instead of fighting here over mundane details that we cannot answer, focus all of that energy into emailing Grimhelm and asking them directly, or something.

If the game does not come out by the end of the year, then the information that walks into Twitter is reliable.
