Are there other games that have this type of gameplay? Anything with timed mechanics or button pressing in rhythm? I enjoy anything that has some degree of input involvement from the player in the form of combat or minigames. Thanks

Sadly, this game tends to freeze up fairly often. It's nothing you did, the game just takes up a lot of RAM.

I wish the CG images were done in the same artstyle that the girls have during the fights even if it isn't animated, it looks really good already I wish they kept it 
Modifying the save file to get rid of money being a grind made the game fun to play through, actually required a few retries against Wummy because her god-mode was legitimately challenging even with lvl10 stats across the board. For a final girl, I think either the vampire or ninja twins would have made better final boss fights, but that's more a preference than anything. IMO, one final scene with all the girls would've been the better capstone scene. For what this game is, impressive work.
Talking about grinding I think my game glitched or something because somehow I was getting 12k on technical bonus every time I fought the last girl (Wummy) on practice matches regardless of the outcome, so I just let her kill me for like 15 mins and got enough money to unlock the other scenes
I just tried it now and it doesn't work anymore

This guy puts out a lot of flash games with a central gameplay loop of "raise stats/skills > fight > lose > earn points based on performance > raise stats/skills with points > fight" until you win, with a decent number of scenes that can be triggered during fights. Check the Google doc to see which, in particular, are his fighting games.

its not in an engine thats as easy to port to android-java as renpy and unity.

One of my favorites is The Dojo Breaker from SFEMY KATS but it's not translated. (I actually downloaded this game expecting to find something similar but was bit dissapointed, still a fun game)
Rhythm Chikan is also a great game from them, not a fighting game tho.
Sadly they are short games and the dev is not doing more

jsk has some brawler type button mashers that have in part a diabolic difficulty scale until you grind enough score to increase stats, but the after game sex is repetitive
