you can't have life problems when you're getting money??? what kinda fucking argument is that, did we not learn from robin williams, chester bennington ect. money doesn't solve everything my dude
Luckily it's not my money and yes it's completely unacceptable. It's easy to sit here and say take as much time as you need Nergal you want to go months between updates, miss deadlines, give no justification other then reasons. No problem.

I donate to developers I expect them to follow their own deadlines or if life pops up pause patron or set the payment to every major update. That is the fair way to do things. Nergal does neither he completely deserves the shit that he is getting he already abandoned the project once and left AZL in a broken unfinished state. What probably is happening is the pledges are drying up almost half have already left and he is trying to squeeze as much as he can between updates.

So because he doesn't want to share his personal life "reasons" with you you're going to bitch and moan, you don't know what he's going through, maybe you're right but I know even though he has missed deadlines I know quite a few games that just don't release anything and people still give them money so shut the fuck up and get out of this thread if you don't care about the game anymore there's plenty of people who do.

No one wants you guys here bitching and moaning, also I think you fail to see the premise of patreon, these guys can stop whenever the fuck they want and there's nothing you can do about it, it's kind of like early access on steam only you can CHOOSE to STOP supporting whenever the fuck you want to just leave it out of here for fucks sake we have enough people complaining.

The guy always deliver a quality update, so when he delay it

1 - he have his own enough reasons to.
2 - it's his own game, he can do what ever he want. You're not forced.

Delayed update is better than a rushed, "7 more versions" to fix one, done and done.

Says the person complaining about the complainers (oh the irony here). Also your getting butthurt over peoples opinions and its kinda funny to watch. People can indeed pull their support and if there is no response by tomorrow I will be. You are right we don't know what he has been through or even experience it like he does. But here is the thing... He has not even tried to explain himself this time. Period. You lose sir and I know its the internet and the "STFU" post will be coming after this which will solidify how ignorant your being. But that is your choice to be seen as such.

Can you stop defending him this hard? Yes, he DOES need to at least explain himself. And do you know why? Because money's on the table. Because he currently has a Patreon open, so while it's all fun and games, at least a very little degree of professionalism should be required when you're getting actual, real money. Yes, he had issues (again), and notified at the very last moment about the delay. Why? Patrons still don't have an answer.

He's not doing voluntary work anymore, that changes as soon as you let people pay you. At least one explanation for the people who are paying him should be the very least. So can you please stop acting like he's a Saint who doesn't owe anyone anything?

Well I was really looking forward to this... I really like everything about Urban Demons, the art, the story. C'mon Nergal don't let depression kick you down like that

But anyone can help me to find a game like Urban Demons? There aren't that many games like that, hard to find them
Maybe Bone's Tales: The Manor or The New Life.

Are you fukin kidding me ? "The guy always deliver a quality update" ? "Delayed update is better than a rushed" ? Look at a last update he released , he delayed this update for few weeks and then when deadline come he asked another "one more week for test" , and yes people told him to not rushed and he can take anytime he want . And then he released a joke, an update full of bugs and unplayable
Yes even with tested this game still get a bugs , but how you can call a game is "tested" when you can't even doing a simple things in game like reading a note or doing a simple progress ? I stopped my pledge after that shit

well there's a limit if your's has been pushed, fine go away no one wants to hear ya sarcastically whine like a child
The limit was pushed by Nergal and the only childish thing to do is here is defend him again and again like a zealot. Keep wasting your bucks though, it ain't my money.

You put that in a bit of a harsh way but.... you're kinda right.

To everyone complaining about money and deadlines, congratulations, you just pointed out the inherently OBVIOUS flaw of Patreon. Its a means to fund the project, not a contract to produce the thing on a set timetable. Akabur earns over five grand a month and releases about twice a year, and his last update was barely one at that.

Let's make this very simple; if you're giving someone on Patreon money to make something, that's where your involvement stops. If you don't like how they're using the time they have and the money you give them, stop giving them money and stop whining. For those like me who don't donate, just stop whining.

I'm not exactly thrilled about his missing the deadline he gave himself or the delay in posting why, but the only control I have in this situation is my own reaction - its most likely so Glassfish can finish the pool art and the kimberly cutscene and put them in.

He missed a deadline, I don't like it, end of story.

Who the fuck are you to tell people whether or not they're allowed to complain?

Yet Akabur does not promise deadlines and people are then fine with it. Nergal makes the classic mistake that new gaming companies do by announcing deadlines/releases. Sorry if your told a package is arriving (a gift) and it never shows up your going to be a little irritated at who is sending it. Your also whining yourself like AHairyLobster about the whining which again is ironic and funny. You do not donate yet your involved... Kay. I do not really think people think posts through....
