When I use the 32 bit version it is normal but on 64 bit I can not play it

Could you attach your save? I'll take a look at it.

In the meantime, something you can try is go into the settings on the phone (gear icon) and select "limit frame rate (30fps)" and see if that helps.

that doesn't help, and it's not the save. I tried the game brand new too

Are you using the cheat mod from the OP on the main thread? That tends to cause a lot of problems with the game.

When this problem occurs, does it happen while using the phone or is it all the time?

No mods of any kind. Tried with and without Incest mapping.xml

Does this occur only when you access the phone or throughout the game? Also, are you playing the latest version (0.8.1b)?

Only the phone and the game. It seems like it's trying to click a million time, whether it be on the phone or progressing time

Ok, so this happens all the time.. What's the highest resolution your monitor will support? Right click in a blank area on the desktop and go into "Display settings". Under "Customize your display", click "Advanced display settings". Click the "Resolution" drop-down menu and you'll see what the highest resolution you can use is. Match that with the resolution in the game itself and see if that problem still occurs. Don't use "Windowed" in the game. Also, make sure in the game the "Graphics quality" is at "Fantastic".

not crashing or black screen. just image and the conversation can continue, but once the conversation ends, it stuck.

I have almost the same issue. The game works fine, except animation. Just black background instead of animation playback. (I still can see all game interface)
I`ve tried everything posted in this topic and some more tricks. nothing of that have had fixed this bug.
I stil can play the game and watch video files directly from the game folder. They always were able to be played in MPC or WMP directly).
Besides in some previous versions of the game animations were working (from 0.7.3 to 0.7.8), and in next ones of these - they wont again. Mystery. I suppose it is something in the game engine, because I am having such troubles only with this game. many other games from brouser-kind to the most demanding such fallout-4 works just fine on my PC (Corei5-4,3MGhz, RAM - Corsair 16GB , SSD intel 240GB, GTX9502GB, Win7-64).

the only one advise that I haven`t tested yet is to change OS from Win7 to Win10. One guy on other forum said this is the only possible cure in my case.

You don't need codecs to play MotH. As long as you have DirectX 9 or 11 installed you can play the game and see the animated scenes.

In fact, I just finished installing Windows 7 Ultimate x86 (32-bit) on my copy of VMware. The only "extra" software installed is the Windows 7 Platform Update and I was able to play the game without any problems.. aside from the fact that it runs slow in a virtual environment.

I've attached screenshots of my experiment.. Image 2 is from an animated scene in the game.

@ordos This would apply to your situation as well, except you need the platform update for x64 based systems.

Posted the following in the discussion thread and they sent me here.

I keep hitting a problem with the 7th event in Ashley's Extra Lessons event chain. The blowjob begins and gets to a stage where she has the head in her mouth, then a plus and minus appear to the right hand side of the screen to control the speed but the image doesn't change. The camera flashes happen as the text proceeds but the image stays the same and after the MC ejaculates there is no way to progress from the screen. The phone cannot be accessed and the buttons to the top right only include "Get a better look" and "Show dialogue history" so I have no way of skipping ahead like I find myself doing when it sometimes sticks at dinner.
It would seem that the game is having trouble accessing 01_05_02.mp4 in the Streaming Assets folder. I've tried accessing the event on different days with no luck.
Is this a common issue? Is that event chain still in development and I just have to wait for updates? Or is it just me?

Also, I'm unable to access Veronica's achievement list because it's behind the Cancel button.

(I'm sorry if these issues have been addressed but 1513 pages is a lot to dig through here haha)

Veronica's achievement list being inaccessible was solved by switching resolution down from 1600x900 to 1280x720. This also solved some graphical alignment errors (such as the phone display) that I had previously just assumed were down to the game being incomplete.

Having read through this thread I've still not solved my animation problem. I'm running Windows 8.1 64-bit fully updated, DX12.2, Display adaptors are up to date, I did not previously have the recommended codec pack installed but getting that has made no difference, I've tried disabling DPI scaling, I've tried running in compatibility mode and as administrator, and I play with no incest patch but even tried replacing the mapping.xml with ones suggested here. Also tried limiting frame rate via the in game setting.
Just to note: it's not a black screen I'm faced with as others have reported, I seem to be getting stuck with the last image before the animation when the animation speed controls appear. I can progress the text with that same image stuck on screen up until the option to ejaculate and then I'm trapped.
Another note: I have yet to encounter any other animations so I don't know if my problem is with all animations or just this one in particular.

Yeah, same problem with Sophia in the sauna, after the date with Ashley, and after ice cream at the beach with Ashley. It's definitely a problem with all animations for me it would seem.

i've already installed directx 11, windows is up to date, still not working.
the thing is, i played version 7.8 last june and the animation is working perfectly. so i'm not sure what the problem is.

Okay, let's check something. Here is what I will need you to do.

1. Go into Windows Update
2. Click "View update history"
3. Click "Installed Updates" (wait for the list to populate)
4. At the very top right, in the box that says "Search Installed Updates", copy and paste paste this: KB2670838

If that isn't listed, then that's what's missing. It's the Platform Update for Windows 7. Since you have a 32-bit operating system, the file you will want to download from

Once you've installed that update, a restart is required. After you've restarted, see if you still experience the same problem.
