i believe there have been multiple 0.4 editions. alpha beta etc so its most likely this 0.5 will get an update after a spell check or error check and become non alpha
Maybe you missed it, but it's a lot more than just spell checking or error checking:
There is an "Alpha" out but it's missing content.
...
Bad news, the alpha is a little barebones (at least by Radiant's standards)-- the last few scenes of the chapter aren't quite ready for consumption just yet, so if you want to play the full chapter all at once/don't want the stunted version, I recommend waiting until the game's in beta, or for the best possible experience: the full launch. Our plan is to get the last few scenes done before the full release here on Patreon.

I'm here to know if the dad stabbed his girls or not yet!
...I guess No! considering the mercantilism of the devs, they rely on that to lure the lame !:cautious:

My favourite one is when the game goes from 0.9 to 0.10 because they weren't sure how many episodes the game will have.
But yeah, those numbers are practically useless for the most part and every creator has a unique way of numbering their versions.
The logical way to recognise version numbers (at least IMO):

[Release number].[update number].[version]

  • [Release number] = The games major release version. "0" denotes that it's not yet complete, it's a 'pre-release'. "1" would denote that the game is in a 'completed' state and can be played from start to finish, but perhaps only one 'route'. Every number after this would denote a major update to the game, with new features added or additions to the story.
  • [update number] = When adding to the game means that content of the game is different from the previous version. Usually more relied on during 'pre-release', to denote new content but an incomplete game.
  • [version] = To differentiate between differing 'patches', usually to correct bugs or missing files. Shouldn't be used to mark any story changes, just an update for the smoother running of the game. Can denote whether it's an 'alpha' or 'beta' build, which usually isn't for public release and only for bug testing within a set audience to give the developer feedback.
The "." is not a decimal point, it's just a way to separate the different numbers in the file version. As such any number can be input, for example when you reach 9 on an update, 10 and then 11 would follow. It's just numbering. The version number/letter can be anything to tell the file version apart from it's previous. Some would use an 'a' or 'b' to denote whether it's an 'alpha' or 'beta' build along with a version number, whereas others will only utilise the letter or the number without a letter. It doesn't matter, it's just an internal system for telling the files apart.

I weep for the missed opportunity of this game for the Devs. This game came out nearly 3 years ago. This game's renders, animations, and story were so far ahead of the competition. They could have striked while the iron was hot by giving out regular updates every 2-3 months.

Instead they sat on their hands and wait for everyone to catch up to them. The renders/animations of this game still at the top of market but the gap from before is long gone.

Can you imagine how much more subs they could have gotten if they release regular updates the past 3 years? I would imagined it would have been 4-5k total vs now where they are stagnating at under 1k.

You did say this android port INCLUDES the patch, right? Because I just got to meeting the girls and they just need a place to stay...no mention of being his daughters.

Just curious

You know, I really dont get why Dammed just didnt do part 1 & 2 if the point was giving something to the patrons rather than a non-stable version. And honestly? His dev time (and SOOO many devs) would be a lot smaller if he was smart, cut some corners in posing/renders plus cut the side-girl cast in like 80% since no one *really* plays this for anyone else aside from the triplets.

Very likely the case of people being fed up from being milked. Actually wanting some progress and content they pay for.
Devs panicking, releasing an unfinished mess of a game.
Man's lucky that his game looks good and is generally liked.
What isn't liked are his milking practices. I simply refuse to believe that over span of 6 months he's unable to release a single, finished chapter.

I would say shying away from cutting corners in posing and rendering. It would really lower the quality of the product. Personally I would set scenes up in Daz and just mass export it to Blender using Diffeomorphic and render there. Can massively cut render times down dependent on your pc. Also, yes, too any side girls. I would have just been content with Brooke and maybe Jade.

That's why I say that the devs are a bit stupid, this game had everything to be the next big thing, but the devs didn't take advantage of that, and the fact that Dammed works with someone who is involved in other projects apart from this one, just It makes development much slower, I know it's unlikely they'll go their separate ways, but they have to do something if they want development of this game to go faster

I think sir dammed was working on polarity alone and that got abandoned. If anything the thing that gives me hope for this game is the fact that alorth is part of the project. But yeah him working on multiple games at the same time is hurting the development speed of this one. I don't think Sir dammed is working on anything besides this game. Maybe he is secretly working on another update for polarity but I already gave up on that one.

There is no monetary incentive to put in more work. atm its pretty much free money.
