So just out of sheer, honest curiosity, what is the draw with these types of videos? Is it something that bypasses some sort of censorship in China because it's not "porn," but "dancing?" Or is there really that much of an audience that gets off to animations of dancing anime girls while too-loud music blows out their ear drums?

I'd imagine because the dancing they tend to do is of a very sexual and provocative nature, rather than something out of "K-Pop Meets High School Musical" lol. Guess I just don't understand the logic behind it. Then again, I also don't understand at all the obsession some people have with feet, either. So maybe I'm the weird one XD

Dancing, regardless of style, has always been considered sexy. Bodies in motion are inherently beautiful, and such beauty is enhanced when artistic flair is applied to it. A particular style of dance may or may not work for you in particular, but that is merely a matter of personal preference, there's always going to be someone who will totally be into it. And this is not a new thing, dance and sexuality have been directly connected ever since dancing existed.

For instance, the Waltz. Yep, slow ballroom music, two people standing like they've got sticks up their asses, one hand on the other's back, the other grasping the partner's hand, slow shuffling back and forth with occasional spins, all while wearing more than twenty pounds of clothing. When this style of dance first came out, it was considered a massive scandal. The dancers were touching each other. They were standing so close they could whisper to each other. So incredibly dirty and naughty. In the 1820s, the Catholic Pope BANNED the waltz because of its inherent sinful nature. It was simply far too sexy for the times.

Tranditional concept of porn in China almost includes EVERYTHING about nudity(exposing breast and virgina ).
With no doubt videos of stripping and nudity like works of TUI are recognized as porn in law of China.

Almost all works like these have not been released by author via any platform or netdisk in mainland China. This is the true right way to avoid censorship.

You can also find many videos like this created by author from Japanese authors and of course they don't need to worry about censorship. To the authors, one reason may be the motion data can be reused which reduced a lot of work. To the audiences， form is not really matter if it is enough to be aroused, maybe.

For me, the fact that it's a performance adds to its appeal. I like specifically the vids where it's public and the girl seems to be enjoying the voyeuristic aspect of it, basically stripping in front of a cameras or a crowd or something. It's also the fact that it's breaking the barrier between something designed for entertainment or "performance", like a music video, and porn.

To put it like this (and it might sound gay but it's true): A titillating dance, where the girl has a certain attitude, can be far more erotic than an anal gangbang.
