    The 1★ Dude

Pretty time consuming and grindy game.

You are always short on ressources because every few days and new girl get awaked. You build garden plants to get fresh food. A new girl come, then you are missing water for the bath. Then you build water pumps. A new girl come and you need more energy. Thats the whole game. You never have any free time.

The whole game is pretty buggy. You have a ressources for the quest but the npc do not accept it cuz they are wrong?!

ps.: Played the whole game and didnt found any NTR scene. Maybe its a upcoming genre but definitely not ingame so far.

I can't recommend this game. The Save and Load Save system is completely broken. It was like this six months ago. Other reviewers have given detailed complaints about the same problems. We installed the game properly in the right locations and we didn't edit or add any files. But our bug reports fell on deaf ears. You can get an idea of the many problems you will experience by reading the August 2021 review down below by DeletedMember. In that review, you can see other feedback and bug reports like "Acess Key" should be "Access Key". Yet, six months later, in this 0.62 version of the game, there are dozens of doors that still ask for an "Acess Key". This video that I made today shows around 50% of the bugs with the Save and Load Save system. Mega (watch this Mega embed video to see) A friend on Discord said that the Save files are not assigned ID numbers. I don't know, but Unity has millions of assets many of which are good and free. It can't be that hard to find a good Save/Load Save asset on the Unity Store. Some things that need to be changed are 1.) There should be fixed pre Save Slots that don't change locations with every new save or save overwrite. 2.) The autosave needs to be separate from regular Saves and stop overwriting our Saves with autosaves. 3.) Saving in the third slot should not change the second save slot's thumbnail image as well. The game is changing the thumbnail image of multiple saves at the same time. 4.) Loading saves should not combine data from that save with whatever scene you were in when you loaded the save. You will see weird stuff like be in a kitchen but see the hallway door names all over the kitchen screen. 5.) The Saves and Load Saves should work properly, but they don't. Try getting all of the items from the kitchen. Then load the game before you got all the items. The kitchen items won't be in your inventory, but they will also be missing from the kitchen. Which means Game Over and you have to start the game completely over after deleting all of your Saves. How can I comment on how good or bad this game is when one of the most crucial elements of the game is broken this bad? And has been broken for many years now. Just read the reviews before August 2021. Other players have reported the same exact thing.

let me say this right off the bat: if you enjoy sandbox games with crafting, research, base building etc, end oh there is porn in it, then this is the game for you.

if you enjoy, college boy in school setting one way trip to harem no brain needed, then you will have a hard time with this game.

it can be quite difficult sometimes with the the resource management.

if you run out of food morale drops and game over

if you run out of water and the girls dont have showers morale drops and game over.

i have lost twice ant i still think the game is awesome.

i'd give it 5/5, vary strong entry to the sandbox genre.

This game is worse than garbage. I saw the reviews but decided to try it anyway. Big mistake. From the start, it's designed as a mind-numbing time-waster for 10-year-olds. The UI, map, navigation, and the savegame system are terrible. It's way too complicated and needs context-sensitive help. It's like the developer never played a game before to see what makes a game enjoyable. It's just designed to take 4x more time than necessary.

Oh, if you're wondering why there's an option to "skip to day 3" right at the beginning of the game, I would guess it's because that is the time where you can soft-lock the game if you do any exploring of the station. You can accidentally enter an area with no way to exit again, and the game doesn't tell you. Terrible game design.

I'm pretty sure the dev isn't a native English speaker by the unnatural English dialogues, so maybe it's a cultural thing, but this game just doesn't seem to be targeted at adults.

I never even made it to any sex scenes. There's no way any scene in this game is worth the torture of playing the game to see it.

You might've seen zombies in the preview photo in the original post and came here expecting to see zombies in the game, but you're likely to keep playing only if you already are a zombie and need something to do until your brain completely rots away.

Very good Visual Novel and Game. One of the most misunderstood I think in regards to actual playing and movement both inside the Z07 Station and outside in the world map. Maybe a more detailed 'Help' file would benefit those that like to rush into a new game without reading how to play before actually playing. It is a little frustrating that when first going to the Kitchen, there are drawers and closets that cannot be opened due to lack of keys but I found it extremely easy to navigate and raid for fuses and cables in ALL 3 areas in the kitchen.

My suggestion is to provide slightly more detailed help in the 'Quest' name description. Even if it wraps. Might help with those highly critical reviews making it somewhat understood what's to be expected when going into a specific room. For example: Kitchen Keys 01 thru 05 not available in this Quest.

This is one of my Favorite Novel/Games. I put it in my top 5. There is a slight amount of repetition but that's to be expected in this type of Novel/Game. Renders are good to excellent, story is good to excellent, play mechanics are excellent. Needs to finish Weapons Research and Crafting, Needs to finish Energy, Water, and any other Food Research and Building.

Good Job and I will continue to look for any updates. Thanks for a great Novel/Game!

Well, I too have to say I was pretty disappointed. Took me a while to even get it to run (whats with the weird issue of only working in certain directories). Game sounded like it had all the making of a great premise (dystopian setting and resource mgmt, with established cheats if necessary). In the end it was totally clunky and grindy, with little cohesion to the navigation and story line. I hate to say it, but these are not growing pains but structural problems with the game that will not be fixable. Hard pass for me.

    Really cool game !

    Positive points :

    -The game plot/history is interesting,
-I really like the management part of the game, you have to think about your management and optimisation of your shelter
-The game have a lot of different content, explore the outside world, manage the shelter, manage your girls, do some quests outside your shelter
-In general the gameplay is well thinked

    Negative points :

-The interface is not very friendly, kind of difficult to handle at the beginning.
-3D is not always very good, It can be improve

    Game version : 0.58

this one is kinda bad. Way too complicated for a fuck game. I get that the dev is ambitious with whatever hes doing but is it really necesary to have this many menus in the game? I dont think so. Also all the doors in the base reqiure three thousand clicks to open with all the fuses and shit. In the end sadly its just not worth the hassle.

Up front; worst impression out of the gate of any game ever. I presumed this would be in something approaching a reasonable state because it's been under development for a decent while. I was wrong.

I started absolutely fresh, not having played before. First thing, when starting the game, it asks "skip to day 3?" I don't know for certain if going to day 3 is skipping an intro, a tutorial, or if it's skipping to new content of the latest build. Don't ask your players questions they have no context to answer up front!

I go through waking up (oof, a lot of the dialog was terrible)... and eventually get told I need to go to the hangar, then get thrown to the map screen.

First off, the map does not show where I currently am. I expect that I am in one of the wings shown on the map, so immediately, things aren't making a lot of sense. Eventually I figure out that I must be in the unlabeled center area (and not one of the wings) because I can click on every door. And after clicking through enough doors, I am able to collect the items I need to open the door to the command center, in order to get to the hangar.

Next up, I find myself in the command center. I find some notes, I click on the computer, asking me to guess password, I'm thinking it has to do with the chapter and verse numbers which I found. Oh, nope. Typing a numeric key opens a completely different interface even when a password entry box is open. THAT isn't expected. Takes me a few to sort out that indeed, I can only enter alphabetical characters from the password prompt, otherwise the UI breaks. Smashing!

After a brief chat in the hangar, I'm told to go to the research center in order to start some research. Of course, when I broke the password prompt, I already found research in the menus and "started" a research path, but from the new instructions, I started the wrong research! Now I've got to find the kitchen. There's nothing labelled kitchen, so I start poking through the rooms on the existing floor. There are chambers... where I had to've come from. I use the wires and fuses I have to go through the door, and what do you know? It's a dead end.

But this is a special dead end. This is a dead end to the game. Because once I went through the door, it is LOCKED FROM THE OTHER SIDE. I cannot unlock it because I used my current wires and fuse stock to unlock the door INTO the chamber. OK, no problem, I'll reload. NOPE. The game auto-saved when I entered the room, and there's only one save game at a time.

So inside 10 minutes of a start, I've found a game-ending bug based on the basic mechanics of the game.

That is probably the most singularly unpromising start to a game I've ever come across. I don't think I've ever encountered a bug that completely ended the ability to progress that quickly before.

So far in the playtime, the writing has been a mix between poor translation and unbelievably cringe-inducing writing. I'm really not sure at any given moment which of the two reasons to blame, but the opening dialogs have been uniformly awful.

The renders of the first girl were cute and not a DAZ model I've already seen a half-dozen times, but the environment renderings are incredibly generic and already being re-used multiple times in the opening sequence.

There is no evidence to suggest this game will redeem itself further in. I'm sorry I downloaded this.

0/10 Complete waste of my time.

Wonderful game, even though it is a little grind even when all currently available research and building is done you just break even once all the girls are there and you use the neutral amount of food and water. There are some bugs but not game breaking, excited for the combat one when you have a custom name to be fixed. I can't wait for more content.

Lot of complaints bout the "landlady" Tenant" thing here, but it is easily fixed using options in the bedroom. it does have a bug where it needs be reset if you use more than one save file, or you can copy the roles file from the save file you set it in to the new one you're using. And complaints about the Engrish, it's not as bad as 95% or more of the games on this site with the English. Complaints about no advancement in relationships, they are based around the quests, and guess what? IT'S NOT A FINISHED GAME!!

People that hate the grind, it's quite easy to cheat, tells you how to in the first post, and once you find the file, if you have a little common sense you can even make your own cheats like duplicating weapons and changing the thing your currently building, crafting, or researching down to 1 in game minute to finish.

The hardest thing to figure out how to operate was how to move on the map screen, which took like 2 minutes. click the star in the top left, click where you want to go. then setting up your "squad" another 2 minutes, and isnt even necessary until combat gets fully implemented.

Had to come back to edit after realizing how bad reviewed over some ignorant crap. Don't want interesting game that is ACTUALLY a game to fall by the wayside, while more and more Renpy "games" but are actually visual novels with little to no choices bombard this site.

Reviewed at v0.56 but been playing since the first time I saw it, no clue how long ago that was.

This one is alright. I like it at parts and there's a little more effort put into this than your usual garbage. Although I can't really tell how much per update is really put in. Unity adds a whole extra layer of development that has to go in and I honestly think it's only done in Unity for the map. Anyway my thoughts on this game are very battling. One side likes the scenes and the premise and respects Dev for trying this base management system. The other is screaming "This is a porn game why put in this much grinding in-between everything?!"

So the story is you wake up in an underground bunker after the world explodes and there are other people (girls) that are waking up after you. You need to survive by expanding the base and going out for supplies. Once you start the game, the story, sex, and anything fun takes a backseat to going on runs and collecting garbage and research for more dumb stuff. Honestly the entire "progression" system feels like an alpha version of a dumb idle game for a phone. The grind is real in this and if you value your time more than not at all, after every auto save, open your save file and change some variables. Otherwise this game is unplayable. And after all of that the Dev is still adding MORE FEATURES TO GRIND. Really? Is that what it needs? To grind more? Okay.

Now grind aside, the writing and dialog is so much machine translated engrish garbage. And this was started "Pre IC crackdown" so a lot of "Mother" "Daughter" "Son" pronouns were haphazardly changed to "Landlady" and "Tenant" it's annoying. Honestly Devs everywhere throw me a lil money every update and I will spell and grammar check. The Dev wanted to include Russian, Spanish, and Japanese on top of the bad English and it's enraging.

The scenes in the game are hit and miss, some are well animated and smooth, some are 2 frames flashing back and forth, and the rest are T-posing models existing in space. That last bit is a little exaggerated but still... The more I played I realized the "good" animations are probably flipped animations on top of all the scenes just using the same keyframes with different girl models. Some girls don't even have scenes the Dev just put in the same placeholder interaction menu for a few of them and they might as well say [PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER] like some robot. If there's nothing there DON'T INCLUDE IT. I get wanting to focus on the main story, but having 10 girls you can't interact with is wasted time and space.

My time in the game was cut short. I use the term short lightly after the grind. But I got a game breaking bug that turned the map of texas completely black and I could no longer do anything. All icons and stuff just disappeared after doing missions for the other settlement.

My verdict is try this game once a year, because you know the dev is going to drag this on forever, at least until the dev makes it hard to edit the game variables. Then drop it entirely. Decent scenes, bad engrish, bugs and endless grind.

English is my 3rd language, yet it was painful to read the dialogues.
The Tenant / Roommate / Teacher / Pupil / Secretary / whatever made everything receive a new level of awkwardness.
Gay content is forced on player, with zero indication in game tags.
Same for forcing the player into a female character.
Bad, very bad UI. Defective game resolution.

Yes. I'm pissed. But I'm more pissed on myself that on dev. It took me more than 6 hours to realize there is just a bad game. The game description(s) made me expect a game were you manage a bunker, procure resources, keep everyone happy and you are rewarded with gratitude sex. What really this game is - is an erotic visual novel with sandbox elements - events are not determined by your actions but by temporal values - featuring some bunker management aspects.

The relationship advancement is a joke - max relationship with the NPCs gives you absolutely nothing in terms of dialogue, sex scenes, anything. Players have to replay the same scene a couple of times to receive "better" scenes.

The sexual advancement is out of place as well. Somehow a handjob is more "valuable" than a blowjob.

There are, however, a couple of good things.
The bad UI is fixable - just needs to be redesigned a bit, scroll bars can be added, icons made smaller, etc.
The broken English is also a fixable issue. A native English speaker could help with it.

It was supposed to be a sandwich you know... positive criticism, all the negatives then some more positive criticism. But I really can't think at more positive things.

I wish I could say Ai is cute, but her makeup is horrid. I liked her the best when she was sick.

    Sorry guys. Try harder.

It doesn't seen bad at first look, but... I'll be sincere, I hoped like a lot lot lot lot more
The Characters are good, (the main ones) are very good and even the "parody" ones have a good personality, though... man what the fuck that was a very fking lazy move, dude literally took all 4 main characters from game big brother and put in the game lmao
The story is... kinda hard to say if it's good or bad, I mean, there's a lot but at the end it feels like a lot of nothing, it makes sense and everything but could be better
Now let's go to the main thing, character models and the sex, models are OK, though could have a bit more of polishing, the sex is... as I said, the characters look good at first but in the sex it gets strange, like as if all graphics are in the clothes lmao, the quality of the renders seens to run away or something, so don't bother thinking because of the pretty previews the sex scenes are too, they're not. The sex animations is not bad at all but amateur level AND he reutilizes a lot of sex animations, lazy move, lazy move...
    The map system is good
The gameplay is not bad but the dev don't know how to make proper leveling or as some call "grinding" the game is totally unbalanced and unfair if you want to get to a high level is literally impossible, the amount of light, water, food you lose per day is literally to force you to use cheat, I like hard games and play them a lot but this is literally impossible level, I tried to see how the game would evolve by cheating just some parts to see if the problem was me but no, I literally made "fair cheating" by "fair" I mean not game breaking like put everything 9999 and it fucking still was not fair, it took me hours and hours, only when I really game broke everything the game got fair WHAT THE FUCKKK!!!????
I went to rating to give it 3 stars but fuck no, 3 stars is playable game and this is not.
The game still have a lot of what lures you making you to think it has a lot of content and has not so if you want to fair play this for some 1week+ (and by 1 week I mean some 8hours per day and LUCKILY be able to get 2 scenes per day with different character and same animation go ahead, to me it's not worth it, mainly for char model and animation quality which if the game had it would not bother much that much of repeated scenes.
Oh also the game has a horrible quick save, it saves everytime but in the last save file you saved, so let's say you save slot 1 it will always auto-save there unless you save in slot 2, then it will switch to autosave there, that is fucking horrible, maaaan why don't you just have an auto-saves slot or something what the fuuuucccc, oh and the game doesn't have a gallery so you can confuse easily if you want to save a scene in another slot.
This game should have been made in Ren'py if I was the dev I would remake everything or go for the next project and abandon this, just saying, the game is a mess and the dev is thinking about inplementing another feature which will be of course another mess............bruh, you didn't even corrected all the other shit

After playing this game for a few seconds, I could have easily given it a perfect five rating because it looked interesting. But I've barely played the game, and I'm already stuck because of the terrible save system. I searched the kitchen and found all the fuses, cable wires, and the research key. I went to the research center and there was a laptop, phone, and backpack. I wanted to search all three. But after I searched the backpack, the game forced me out of the room and wouldn't let me back in. It also quick saved over my last save, which is a terrible game design, and so I could not load my save from before I explored that room. So I loaded a much older save, and because the save system is so glitchy it messed with my graphics. If you load saves, you get weird glitches like it won't show the image for the room that you are in, so you have to do things like click Return or change rooms to make the room image load. If I load a save from the start of the game and then load a save from a sex scene, guess what? - it will act as if I am still at the start of the game and won't show me the sex scene. In this particular case, it was showing the floor's door and room names on top of the kitchen room. So I had to change rooms and come back to fix it. Then I find that even though this was a save before I searched the kitchen, all of the items in the Kitchen were gone. So I had no research key in my backpack and I could not get a research key from the kitchen. I was stuck. What a real pain. This game has a lot of faults. On some games, I don't mind bad English because I'm just interested in fapping and I don't need to read the dialogue. But this game is so good and interesting, that it definitely needs proper English. So the developer should look for qualified volunteers to fix the writing for free. Also, even though the developer's native language isn't English and it's hard to use proper grammar when writing in other languages, some of these spelling mistakes are unacceptable. Like everywhere you look, he writes "acess key". But it only takes two seconds to go "Oh, I'm not sure if I know the proper spelling of the English word access, so I will search on this online dictionary real quick." To not do that is lazy. Another problem with this game is that it never remembers windowed mode. I am continuously having to Alt + Enter to go into windowed mode, and I have to keep using a macro to resize and reposition the window once I do because the game keeps putting it into borderless fullscreen and it moves the window when I Alt + Enter out of it. I haven't gotten to the part where I need to explore outside the bunker and collect resources yet. I don't even like resource management games. But I know that there is a way to edit some things in the Database.xml. So if I ever get bored with collecting resources, it shouldn't be hard to edit the xml and save myself some time. Going back to the save system. There are other things that I don't like about it. You can't use spaces in your save names. You can't rename or delete saves. You have to go to the saves folder and manage your saves that way. And the save system is just ugly and not very intuitive. I also wish that there was a rollback feature. I'd like to press a button or use my mousewheel to rewind a little in case I clicked too fast, or didn't pay enough attention, or have a bad memory. At the very least, give us a way to read the dialogue history. But I'd prefer to rewind the scenes like you can do in Ren'Py games. Despite the seriously broken save system and the other flaws, I was still going to give this game a generous 4 rating because I like the models, setting, and story. I was going to start the game over from the very beginning or from a much earlier point and see if that would let me get the research key back. But when I saw that the save system was even more broken that I thought that it was, I had to give up. Fix the save system, and then I will play this game again and give it a much higher rating. But it is unplayable in this state. It's a completely broken game. By the way, the game was installed to C:/Programs/World After War. The Programs folder is folder that I created. It is not Program Files or Program Files (x86). And this folder and it's location fulfills the requirements that the game not be installed in certain locations on the computer system. I don't think that this game will be fixed anytime soon. I messaged the developer on Discord, and he didn't reply. Also, people have been complaining about the save system for a while now.

no clear instructions. you can spend several hours not getting anything done and not knowing what the f you are supposed to do, resources drop faster than you can clap your hands, and you have no idea how to find the things that are vital ´, like take the replicator, nothing tells you that's something you must ressearch and then build before you can get ANY food so moral ends up bellow 10 before you can even do anything. not to mention the huuuuuuuuuuuuge boner killer this game is. i play games from here at night from 00:00-05:00 my ''jerk off'' time of the day and only time of the day, and i have already gone several night, where i had to shut down the game and actually put on real porn just to go to sleep

This game fails in almost every single way possible. I first tried it a couple versions after it came out and found it clunky and broken and now years later I find it hasn't fixed its core issues. This game appears to want to me a map game, but fails in every way.

In this game you are given control of a facility and are supposed to gather supplies, research, build, craft, mange resources, and build relationships with the girls which is a very novel idea compared to what has been done before, but oh boy it fails.
You have three levels in your base and the game wants you to run and forth constancy to click on things to open the other doors and then open more doors and compartments. Fucking scrap this it is a waste of time and hurts the core gameplay loop of managing the base. If you want to unlock rooms put it into research and building.

Now the meat of the game is the work and exploration which also fails.
You have to research, craft, and then finally build to unlock an upgrade. You do this by scavenging and assigning people to the various jobs. This all sounds good and dandy put the menus and lack of information kills it.
You have to go through so many menus to accomplish one thing and the information given to you is terrible. You are not told what 150 time means, what upgrades do, or that more upgrades unlock how many days past.
Thank god at least common sense can get you an idea of what each upgrade does.
The final and most annoying part of the gameplay is how long it takes to accomplish anything. It is a complete and utter slog.
If you really want to improve this game make the world map your main screen, change the various materials into bulk concepts like electronics, fuel, metal, plastics, fabric. Rework the time schedule so people don't have the chance not to do anything. Give you a main top bar on the screen like a paradox game and make the entire gameplay more intuitive and engaging for the player.

Final things I guess are bugs and the English.
English is weird and it's clear that English is not their first language , but it's bearable.
The game is clearly not coded right, because the save system is super busted.
Saving seems to only save variables and not an actual game state or something, because when you load a game it does not put you back to where you were as it will keep the menus you were in and location on the map.
I used this to an advantage as you could save then move across the map fore no time cost if you load the game right before you hit a destination or if going really far away just keep loading back the game.

I don't want to hate this game, because it is trying to be an actual game the problem is that as an actual game it is complete utter garbage in this current state.

The grinding in this game is imposible to tolerate. In the first day I was like half hour searching for a room, because is not clear where it was. The second day I have to open the bio center, an hour has passed and I can't open it, because the questlog is a joke. I think I did everything and I'm stuck, I can't find Ai, I can't find the key to open the Bio Center.
The questlog doesn't help at all, it give you hints but they are very vague. So this game is a big "NO", until the game get a better gameplay or a better questlog so you don't have to look for a walkthrough or any external help or waste hours looking for something in all the bunker.

World After War is another one of those porn games that asks players that all-important question: can you enjoy gameplay in your porn games? Because if the answer is no, this ain't for you. Like, at all.
That being said, if you can enjoy gameplay in your porn games, this is definitely one of the most unique porn games I've seen so far. The closest comparison I have is Hearts of Iron (the Fallout NV mod specifically). Once you get out of the main base, it's essentially an RTS where you spend your time exploring the wasteland, gathering resources, improving your technology, and seducing a bunch of ladies. Nothing is perfect, and it's all a little janky in its own way, but it's actually quite fun once you get into it, or at least it was for me, and there's a surprising amount of depth to the tech tree and world map and base system compared to most porn games that try something like this. Those gameplay systems are not at all an afterthought.
The story is very...anime. For better or for worse. But since I already like RTS/resource management games, that didn't really bother me. Porn-wise, it's pretty middle of the road. The game does have unique graphics, which is a good thing, but they're just okay. But in combination with the robust gameplay elements, I think they actually work quite well.
As a caveat, I'm not a big fan of the base exploration section of the game even after figuring out how it works. Essentially, it's hover-over-stuff-until-it-glows. Not intuitive, not all that fun, very 'find the key so you can find the key so you can find the key...' But once you do figure out how it works, the parts where it's necessary are over pretty quickly.
All told, I'm glad I gave this one another try after first overlooking it. It's big, it's cool, it's very ambitious, and there's just a bunch of ladies to bang that seem aimed to satisfy a pretty wide array of fetishes.
Overall rating: 4 stars. With more polish, it could earn an extra half-star or full star with me, but right now there's enough jank in this otherwise rad game that I can't endorse it as fully as I might otherwise want to.

Honestly, would be a 4 star if it wasn't for the interface and intro that made me want to uninstall the games for a constant 20 minutes before getting through it. The intro serves pretty much no purpose, and everything you learn from it is 100% useless during the rest of the game. Feels like a horribly put together game you have to play before getting into the second one.

The sandbox loop after the intro is great. Difficulty is just about right, and the gameplay mechanics are so too, but the interface is dragging this down from a much higher rating. It's unclear what you have to do, there are 20 different menus you need to be constantly watching, and worst of all, there is no top bar to keep track of everything. I propose adding something like:
<Water drop>: 69/200 (+42), to easily indicate current level, capacity and daily change, for each of the vital resources. The crafting system is clunky and you have no way to enqueue a thing and all its components. If you do want to keep the scraps, please make an option to automatically craft all of them. There are way too many rooms, and the base map is much more complicated than it needs to be.

Also, doesn't work well on linux under wine because many of the image paths have incorrect casing in the code compared to in the files, to many of them fail to load.
