I think this isn't the first time I've seen people claim that some kink is becoming so common that it makes up x% of all works.

If you filter by tags, you can look at how many pages there are to estimate how many works have a given kink. And if you also sort by date, you can go to page n to see over what length of time a certain amount of works with a certain kink have been updated/created as compared to with the same amount of works with another kink.

The main difference is between male protagonist games and female protagonist games is that they have different fetishes.

Like, people are going to produce porn that you're not interested in. That's how fetishes work. I've seen this conversation pop up before in regards to other fetishes, and I'm personally not interested in trying to prove that there should be less porn that I don't like or that the porn I don't like isn't valid in regards to artistic merit or integrity because according to my 0 hours of making and selling games the stuff I don't like is more profitable and easy so all the games that have fetishes I don't like are shallow and driven by greed while all the games with fetishes I do like are works of art created by saints and monks.

Because women are starting to play/enjoy/appreciate porn games which is a good thing
