Why so few games with "normal looking" people?

Exactly. I´m not a Developer and I confess that I might be ignorant about how to develop a game, but I would at least try to make my game not look like every other game and try using different assets.
I played countless games where I immediately saw assets from other games, and was just like, bruh

It can sometimes get a bit confusing when characters reappear as "extras" in a different game/VN.
A well liked cutie pops up in an ( for me ) unfamiliar environment or a swine MC suddenly is a nice guy.
Sand box or similar builds where the loo is not where it should have been in another setup.
So far I've just found a handful of games/VNs where there's been at least a variation in body shapes.
To mention just a few: Midlife crisis, Triple Ex and Young again.
There are also a few where the "normals" aren't allowed to be seen nekkid but you can tell a sagging or munchkin pair of tits underneath their clothes or a bit of a beer keg.

Not gonna blame, it's not easy. Some assets are more popular because they are cheaper, better optimised and run great on some pc (while some others are extremly detailled but will kill some GC RAM). I, myself, use some assets similar to otehrs games. But i try the best i can (when it's possible) to make it look different, even a minimum, like for exemple, taking off/hiding a part of the assets, changing colors or else.
It's not much, but at least, it's something a bit different.
To be honest. What piss me off the most in games is the "absolute garbage fucking disgusting idiot and dumb" poses the characters can have.
99% of female poses you can buy is bullshit, like top models poses or bitches poses... ending up with a female, walking on the street normally, but standing on her toes, legs crossed with her arms behind her head. (typical modeling poses) That doesn't fit AT ALL in the scenes in 99,999% of the time and look ugly by turning the girls to look like a dumb bitch (i mean, how many girls stand like this in the street when walking?).
I get so disgusted by that that now i make my own poses the most i can, even if they look ugly because they are ultra standard.
It's just a matter of motivation to make the game a bit different than the "all together" standard used by others.
But i disgress.. :/
I also try to do the best i can about that.
i mean, tall girls, standard girls, midget, skinny, fit, fat, handicapee, kids, big tits, small tits, flat, big ass, small ass, old, young, white, black, asian, alien, deergirl, pixie, and so on.
Except if girls are same family or twins. I do the best i can to not make them look similar (that include weight and size)

Usa and England is fulll of fat people no wonder the tits are bigger. Outside of these 2 countries are people that eat vegetables sometimes. Sorry for the raciism but the world is not just USA or England.

The most obese country in the world is obviously the US. Followed by China and India. Hell, even 75% of the Middle East is estimated to be overweight. That's not even getting into South America and the Oceania Islands.

The original post was made a couple years back, but I'd like to say I'm in the same boat in regard to the breast sizes. I personally prefer small breasts, but they are more difficult to find in 3DCG games as already stated. I have yet to go through all the posts in this thread, but have there also been any mention of main characters having super sized penises too often in these games? Wouldn't be surprised if there had been. I feel like this aspect may also takes away from being able to relate to the MC of a game you might play, especially if you're happy with your perfectly functional average sized manhood.

A couple of years ago I was fairly new to F95 and was overwhelmed by the amount of oversized erogenous parts, female as well as male.
Since then I've narrowed down my preference in the games I DL and enjoy.
I even enjoy some that push the size limits of bodily extremities if there is a good story and, most importantly, make me laugh.
I find that during these almost 3½ years the VNs/Games have evolved towards a more realistic depiction of humans but the number of "normals" are still in minority.
The supermodel ideal and giant schlong thing are more or less a fix point but some competition where average sizes rule are popping up more and more especially among the story driven games.

I totally agree. I, too, experienced the same thing where it didn't take long at all before I became weary of the abundance of the oversized breasts and penises. And, like you, I generally download and play VN's that feature elements that cater to my personal preferences while also, sometimes, allow myself to venture out of my comfort zone, so to speak. This is why I have been able to enjoy games like Leap Of Faith, DMD (to be fair, this game has Elena who is a petite and small-breasted brunette), and The Author. In fact, The Author is a bit of a big-tits galore, lol.
An interesting thing about story-rich games is that, as the game progresses, you tend to focus more on the story line and plot twists, and less on the sexual contents. At least that's how it is with me, anyway. For this reason, I can find even big-breasted characters attractive at times as well. Holly from Leap Of Faith, for example, has fairly large breasts, probably a bigger side of the C cup or in the D cup range. But she's actually the one I find most attractive from that game. Speaking of story-driven, I appreciate Avalon because it features the character Leah, whose breasts are supposed to be "larger than average", and yet they still look proportional while indeed being large enough.
One very important thing for me is that I have to be able to connect with the female characters at least on some level in order to find them attractive. Without this, and a decent story line, I wouldn't be able to enjoy a VN even if it had the kind of body types and features that fit my preferences.

I appreciate the suggestions! I should check some of those out. I prefer to play completed projects if I can help it, but have played ones that are still in development. Speaking of which, I have read nice things about Desert Stalker which is supposed to include characters with more modestly designed breast sizes from what I've gathered.
Grindy doesn't necessarily have to always be a bad thing. I have played a game called Fantasy Town(various body types, and one girl even has inverted nipples), and I didn't mind the grind aspect of it, for example. The Promise looks to be in a style that's a bit of a cross between that, and Timeless Island. In fact, I think I remember considering to try this one a while back. Now, there is another one called Confined And Horny. This one, I will be honest and say I have stopped playing after one night, lol.
Cece is by far the most important character in Leap Of Faith, because she's the one who, consciously or otherwise, brings everyone together. I often try to work out who the "heart and soul" of a game is. Could also be multiple characters, but I honestly couldn't pick just a few, let alone a single character, for Leap Of Faith. Cece definitely is on the list for obvious reasons, though.
Unfortunately, for people like you and me, there are no such type of games, and i am just like you, there very few good games with realistic storyline, most of them are childish, I'm searching for over 2 years now, games with normal looking matures, normal tits, normal behavior.. I can't find anything, Mirror Mine is the best game i ve played so far (sorry for my eng)
