Why is the Ren'py SDK detected as a virus?

I have downloaded the SDK from

And when looking at the file: "renpy.exe" it detects me:
MaxSecure Trojan.Malware.300983.susgen
Trapmine Suspicious.low.ml.score

70 virus checkers detected no virus.
And you're worried about the 2 that think they detected something.

What does that tell you?

EDIT: Also, I just downloaded all 5 files from the main links on

You must be registered to see the links

and ran them through VirusTotal (which, has seemingly gained a lot of interest lately -- are they pushing their product on some sites because their results are sending people into a tizzy fit?). I cannot recreate your experience with those two results.

I do get the known false positive on a couple of them from the Jiangmin virus definitions:


And on one, I also get a false positive from the Sangfor Engine Zerop virus definitions:


There is no virus in any of those links for Ren'Py 8.0.3.
