But really though I think it's popular because everyone nowadays are just degenerates. Think about it, new technology has made it easier than ever to find porn and to jerk off without getting caught. Before the internet, smart phones, laptops, and computers it was a lot harder to find porn and jerk off without getting caught. Now I think this is where it's important to make a distinction, not everyone is a natural degenerate. I don't think it is weird, and I will say why. pff hold my beer.
For me, I like incest games because if they are good enough you can merge into that world. If there is a good precondition for the fantasy to happen with some girls that look beautiful, then I am in (not actually in, I mean I am like... ahh nevermind).

Fetish aside, it can be viewed as a symptom of a weak narrative or a weak plot device. Incest provides the main character with access to other characters. How many games begin with the premise of "you are a down on your luck looser"? Doesn't sound like the build up for a character that will have reasonable success at the club. Narratively speaking it would be difficult to provide them with access to other characters with out a home situation.

I think it can be said there is something to be said about having a relationship that it so close that you are already closer than any friendship or relationship could be and then move that one step beyond into the area of forbidden. As humans we will always want what we can't have.
