Why does every game use the same bench/park area?

I've started to notice that when there is a scene of the mc talking to someone in a park, jogging in a park, sitting down on a bench etc etc, the area they're in is always the same in every porn game. Is there some reason as to why? Is it a free asset that every developer desides to use? is it like the wilhelm scream and everyone just uses it as a little easter egg?

You must be referring to 3D scene, not 2D original art. The reason is that it is most likely a free asset that is easy to grab because a there are sites that list assets by popularity as a default. Ergo, the more it's downloaded - the higher up it moves on the recommendation list for download. A sizeable number of people don't like to click "next page" - whether it is a Google search or an asset site. Whatever they find on the first page is "good enough."

It may even be a loss-leader asset. The designer might offer it for free in the hopes of getting people interested in looking for other assets by the designer - that cost $$. The designer may have even paid for premium first page placement advertising, initially, to get the park scene bumped.

I'm assuming you mean these?:

No, they aren't free. The reason people use them is because there aren't a lot of park assets out there, and while the option to make your own is out there, grass/plants/trees/etc. are a good way to eat up all of your available VRAM to render. The aforementioned two are both decently optimized and look good enough for something most are going to use for one or two scenes.
