I mean it kinda defeats the purpose of porn or rather "adult" game, no? I mean what are they worried? If you already play a game or watch something where two people get naked and have sex than why bother with blurring??

It's funny, because according to jap law, this can be repealed pretty much instantly. The problem is, because of japan tight-ass hierarchy and work ethics, not a single politician wants to appear as a pervert who wants uncensored porn.
So yeah, we are probably stuck with it for our life-time.

I might be wrong, this is only what I've heard, but apparently it's because japanese people have so small sex organs that they have to artificially scale them up very much in post production, giving this blurry look.

Right I remember hearing about that fella and he did seem like the hero we need, but then the covid attacked and messed everything up. But it's as the other posters basically said; there is an old lame law that forbids genitals from showing thus the censor.
And as far as removing this law, as one expects you won't find many politicians willing to public touch this issue (even tough some may want to) because for all of japan weirdness they are still a very conservative nation so yeah...
