HTML Whisper - a game concept inspired by No Haven

Real life took a pretty major turn during this year, and ive gotten rather busy, the whisper project is on hiatus, and ive started on a smaller side project based on a text based anime (in terms of environment/story) interactive kinetic sandbox (not sure if theres a proper term for it) this isnt taking the place of whisper, as ill be retuning to whisper when i get actual time to work on a large project, however i need something to keep my knowledge in JS and sugarcube up, so this side project is where my time will be going

if anyone has interest in this kind of project feel free to check the discord, as i setup a small section with information on it, and updates for it.

for most f95 users, this side project wont be a porn game, as such I will not setup a post on it for itself, but once its done and if people like it on here someone else is free to do so, adult stuff may come in later if it gets a good following, but will only be once the mc and there friends/known aquaintances reach the 18+ age.

Isnt dead, but my real lifes too hectic atm to deal with a large project, i plan to resume it when i finish dealing with majority of the problems, covid is nearing a point where it is fine where i live, and starting to become much more livable where my wife works, but this year had been giving me alot of problems, which made working on whisper very difficult.


aside from that I will be working on this side project in closely the same way as i was working on whisper, so new code that will work in whisper should be usable once i get back to working on it.

Switching to Steam for the communication end, as had some issues with discord, due to not wanting to use cell phones.

Did a bit of changes to acceptable content for the side project, and will be able to post it on the other forums i have my games listed on, and will do the same for here, but will come at a later date

Will be making murder toggleable and murder scenes that are viewable will not show the scene, more so will be based around gossip, and other lesser forms of telling it happened.

Fenoxo forums will receive the first posting, and will likely have it till the demo is released, then I will post it up on the others including here, with the link to the demo.

Demo may take some time or may not, the start of the intro and half the char creator took very little time, and got positive responses from the testers and some anime enthusists, so if all goes good it should be a nice mini story demo once its done.

Edit: should also say that due to the overall positive response to the start of the games story content, that its likely that the games sections after highschool where adult content can be done, is a very good posibility, which is why I will be putting it on F95, just to make it clear towards why i had the change of heart.
