Possibly the RPG maker MV I believe, for the creation of the RPG part of the game!

Now for 3D modeling maybe it uses the DAZ

GOOD LUCK!

Making a game requires a lot of time, effort and research, making a good game requires more of that.
RPGMaker is good for creating a game you can walk around in, maybe combat etc, of course from what I have seen of games that use it, it is pretty flexible, but for more of a visual novel approach, the best ones I have seen use Ren'py.

If you're interested in getting into more of the programming side, you can learn the logic pretty well from "Scratch", basically connect the code logic together like lego pieces, another one I have been enjoying lately for "visual scripting", while it is much much more advanced, is Unreal Engine blueprints(I really wouldn't start there though...but something you could keep in mind for the future if you wanted to get into real-time 3d)

...Kind of just throwing around software and rambling a bit, so I will leave it with those.

...if you're planning to create a game, IMHO it's better to avoid a program like RPGMaker, it may cause problems in controlling your MC and can be incompatible with the mouse! There are other game making softwares that give you better results, like Unity or (my personal advice) Ren'Py... :)

I really like rpgmaker MV. It has an easier learning curve than their older products and it's built for mobile in mind.

As for daz3d, its useful, but make sure you have a video card with as much ram as possible, otherwise you will be limited in what you can actually render -- especially animations.

This is a very good question. I already have basic 3d skills, I have worked already with DAZ on my crummy old comp. Some of you have probably noticed my amateur work ("Rooming with Mom" and "Oedipus Club" comics) online.
Now I'm making a good progress on RPG Maker MV.
What I can't figure out how is how to combine these two efforts into a single game.
How to incorporate 3d art into my RPG Maker game?
And also, how do I add some interesting "mini-games" within the rpg game, like ICSTOR did - adding obstacles like lockpicks and simple card games within this larger rpg framework?

ICSTOR's milfy city is one of the best game i've ever played so far. I think he uses daz for creating characters and renpy for VNE, but I recommend you to use renpy if you're willing to learn some python codes which are not bad for a beginner to start with.
