Unity - Completed - Unyielding [v1.0.3] [MercenaryMage]

    Little your dream

The game is normal. It takes 10 minutes to complete the entire plot without reading any dialogues. If you are here for 18+ pictures. Here are the cons:
The combat system is very buggy.
It's very boring to just read dialogues
There is no election branch. Your choices have essentially no effect on the plot itself.
The arts are normal, but if the game is on Unity, you can make the characters more beautiful.
    Pros:
The main character is a girl.
These are all the advantages of this game.
I don’t know why the game has so many 4-5 stars. The game needs to add a lot of plot and fix all the minuses.
    I do not recommend it.

I think this game is actually really well done. Even purely from a gameplay perspective I was enjoying myself. Really great writing and art makes this an easy 5 star game. Looking forward to future updates!

    PRO:
    -Nice art
    -Fun lore
    -TF themes feel impactful
    -Well written with minimal errors
    MED:
-Gameplay is moderately fun and engaging
    CON:
-Some UI glitches on level-up / training
-Could use more art for many circumstances

It's a fun fantasy romp VN. Unique flavor and high potential.
Give it a whirl... better than 95% of the hypno/corrupt content out there.

This is a visual novel in disguise combined with a simple crpg.

As a porn game it isn't much, however. Turn off the combat and hold CTRL pressed to skip the text, and you have.. not very much.

I like the way the protagonist gets larger breasts etc from sex, but nothing comes of it. I mean there's no fetish themes (END, Reluc, Impreg, etc) coming out of it.

But the main thing is that the OP should stop claiming your choices matter. Sure you have rudimentary equipment shop, and you can take different actions in combat.

But as for story choices, you're basically asked if you want to have sex or skip sex. Everything else proceeds like a written story.

    Scarlett's nightmare

Oh boy... another game I wish I had played earlier. I also felt I needed to write this review because I very VERY much disagree with Edvin below me.

The writing is stellar (for a porn game) and the story is absolutely not cliche. The world building is extraordinary. There's care in the writing. It is not just a vehicle for sex. Also the reason why the protagonist is how she is, is not because of amnesia. The magic of the curse involved is cleverly crafted. I loved it.

Sex scenes have (as of now) little supporting art, but that may change. BUT the writing of the sex scenes is excellent and the situations definitely different from all the other renpy games you find here. Take the time to read it. It is worthwhile.

I am really happy I found this little gem. You earned yourself a patron.

My review may include a couple of SPOILERS, but it's nothing you wouldn't learn during the intro, so no worries. I think my rating would be more like 2.5, but that's not possible and a few things extremely irritated me, so I leaned more towards 2.

I will not rate combat (which may be completely turned off for some reason unknown to me). Nothing great, but nothing terrible either. The story is rather below average and full of very strange developer decisions.

The main character who was transformed into a horny bimbo? Come on! We've all heard that story at least a hundred times. To make matters worse, he also has amnesia... I have a strong suspicion that he is also the son of a blacksmith who was destined to find the holy sword, defeat the dark lord and marry the princess.

All women with whom the main character comes into contact have beautiful custom character models. But the main antagonist is not a woman, so he obviously doesn't deserve his own character model...

The main hero(ine) is an absolutely great side character, but an absolutely horrible main character. Always eager to throw herself on every dick. It was funny at first, but it quickly became annoying. The lack of personality was cleverly explained by amnesia . Not exactly gratifying, but at least we get a chance to shape his personality according to our decisions, right? ("Nope") According to the author: Choices should always matter. Well, practical all choices you can make are in the case of sex scenes. And how does choice on which matter look like?

    A) Skip scene (In most cases, it's just "No, I'm leaving." and the event ends )
    B) Let yourself be abused (Most likely someone will rape you and you will enjoy it. )

    Don't expect more

As if that weren't enough, the game doesn't even take into account the "decisions" you make. I refused to have sex with a random stranger and the event ended. Another event is again the same random stranger who talks about how he fuck me and how we both enjoyed it. Funny, I don't remember anything like that. Then there are sex scenes that cannot be prevented. The main character just throws herself on the dick. Sex scenes are truly very poorly resolved and the art to them are just tiny pictures. This is very interesting because the images appear to have a higher resolution, but have been reduced in size. The author could at least undress the characters during the sex scene, but unfortunately, nude models do not exist. I don't quite understand these decisions...

Now when I described my feelings about this game, I'm starting to think that 2/5 is really appropriate rating.

    Pros

    - Very decent Art.
    - Quite interesting side characters.
    - Full screen without borders ( anyone who has played more than a few games on this forum can appreciate this ).

    Cons

    - Main hero(ine).
    - Art for sex scenes.
    - The way sex scenes are handled.
    - Models for nude characters are missing.
    - The story is an incredible cliché.
    - The narrative is more reminiscent of a pile of unrelated mini-stories than a single story.

    So this is extremely good.

The combat is fun and interesting (for an H-game, of course). Really well done tactical RPG stuff, much better than the millionth interation of stock RPG maker junk. If combat's not what you're looking for, it is extremely easy to turn that part of the game off and enjoy Unyielding like a VN.

The VN bits are where the game really, really shines. Just a massive quantity of well-written, well conceived scenes and storylines. The writing in this game is some of the best on this website. Maybe the best? Probably the best. It's a low bar, but it's legitimately great and affecting while not forgetting that it's smut. Fan-fucking-tastic.

The scenes are mostly text-based, but the character art is great and the CGs that are here are well done.

MtF is not my thing, but it's extremely easy to ignore and forget about it. Worth a shot even if that puts you off.

I went into this game expecting generic-feeling characters and interactions, with choices and dialogue basically just being"Sex? yes/no" and little to no world building or story. What I got was a game with interesting characters, a cast of characters that tease each-other over appearances and mention choices you have made. The world building, while not really that expansive is still pretty well made. The PC seems to switch quite often between trying to resist the curse, and just giving up and wanting to have sex with anything that moves. The art style is good, and transformations that happen, such as turning part cow, do effect dialogue and narration. The game does have a gallery and a way to view scenes but lacks any option to unlock all of them. I only encountered two noticeable bugs, such as not being able to load an autosave and not being able to use unlocked equipment like the lasso and berserk wine.

Short version: An amazing game that has a few bugs and lots of content

This is one worth checking out again, or checking out for the first time. A lot has changed since the early releases, and there's more content than I expected to find. A lot of it is text, but this game features an interest premise (MtF, yessss some of you will hate it no matter what) that is richly detailed. As you play this, more of the world is revealed and it's surprising deep. The combat isn't boring, though it will range from very easy to slightly confusing at times. While the game does feature some nice scenes, not all of them feature accompanying CG's which I assume will be added later. I'd like to see the CG's displayed larger and perhaps some more varied avatar CG's that change with the scene. All in all, this is excellent work, and I'll now to actively following it.

    As of update v0.1.9

    Pros

    - Art is fantastic, probably one of the best for 2d games.
    - The (female) characters are all likable and relatively interesting
    - Futa content (I know its a con for some, but you can't please everyone)
    - The game strikes a good balance between story and sex.
    - The combat system is unique and kind of fun, but can be turned off with no story consequence if you don't like it.

    Cons

    - Currently no way to advance text with a left hand keybinding (Dev has said that will be added in a future update however)

Overall it's a bit early, but it is seeming like a very promising start.

Final Rating: 4.5* (with the definite potential to end up at 5*), but since half stars aren't allowed I won't cheat the game by rounding down to 4*.

    Reviewing version 1.5.1

A curious jumble of a game. A seething mass of conflicting ideas wearing a beautiful fruit hat.

The game is experienced by selecting from series of vignettes which unlock over time. With the exception of the main quest they're not in any order though, so it quickly goes a bit fever dream, jumping between stories and darting into one-offs all somehow happening at the same time without impacting one another.

Player interaction within these stories consists of occasional choices between two paths - usually to have sex, or don't. As the game's title suggests, yielding (having sex) usually has extremely negative consequences, but the game doesn't follow up with any of them so in practice effects are minimal.

The world lore is deep, rich, engaging, and interesting. Also derivative and trope-laden, but I don't mean that in a negative way. If you like slightly gritty D&D-lite fantasy, you'll feel right at home.

The characters are a scintillating smorgasbord of unpredictable. A character might gleefully rape the MC in one story, then seek explicit verbal consent twice purely out of concern for decency in another. Women are portrayed as either calm collected warrior women or as raging sluts breathlessly looking their next sexual encounter, with few points in between. Men are, almost without exception, portrayed as brainless sluts with no purpose in life beyond cartoonishly dominating anyone they can. It's all played straight, though, not for laughs or social commentary.

The art is excellent, though there is not much of it.

From a porn perspective, if you like involuntary bimbofication and comic levels of body inflation, you will probably really like some bits of this game. If you don't enjoy those things, you can reasonably expect to still find some enjoyment in the non-porn parts of the story.

    Pros:
    • Deep, rich, engaging fantasy world
    • Colourful, well-produced artwork
    • Some porn, occasionally
    • No game-breaking bugs that I encountered
    Cons:
    • Doesn't seem to have a direction, purpose, or narrative flow
    • A moderate number of bugs and grammar mistakes
    • Inconsistent narration and perspective
    • Suddenly and unceremoniously ends with an "end demo" button that just freezes the current screen
Overall I enjoyed it, but the game feels unsatisfying in a way that I fear it may not be on the road to fixing. Like a collection of short stories whose authors intentionally never wrote the last page.

Definitely a good game to try out.

It's got a really good balance on lore, not overbearing but enough to get you into a world if you're someone who needs to be there, but not so much to make you read through a bunch of junk. The options are there.

The combat is simplistic, and in a refreshing way imo.

If you've got the time to try it, do so. If you don't have the time--make some. ;)
