2D Trying to figure out my game art style. What do you think?

The eyes seems super weird, but the style looks good over all. The first desing looks better imo.

Honest opinion? You need more drawing skill to go for an attempt at realistic proportions. So practise more of course, but also stylize your art so you don't have to wait 2 years or whatever until you are good enough. Doodle around until you find a style you think you can both stick to and people might like. Bigger thighs, smaller facial features, practice proportions in general because they make the biggest negative impact when flawed.

I know how to do realistic proportions,I just don't want it to be realistic for my game. I'm aiming for a more anime and semi realistic style since the game is going to be more fantasy based.

First of all, english is not my first language so sorry for any possible mistake.

Gotta be honest and please don't take things personal:

  1. Study more anatomy: you can aim fore a more anime-like style but even with that you have some flaws (elbow, shoulders, abdomen, face shape), ifyou study some good hentai manga you can notice anatomy is partialy coherent with reality but not necessaryly accurate.
  2. Try to work on your line art: its a bit shaky and dirty and again not all things can be passed as "style" if you are creating a targeted product.
  3. Improve your render skills: you seem to understand basic light behaviour on surfaces but you can do better (you can implement and exagerate different light reflection for skin, fabric, hair and leather), color is a little dirty and boring.
  4. Practice more character design: that character looks boring (pose, shapes, color design), try to give her better shape harmony, try giving her a better pose, make her irradiate her personality.

Right now she looks like a generic, poorly drawn, boring humanoid (no ofense). No interesting shapes or personality that can be enjoyed on a character and you should have in mind players need to fall in love with her as one.

finally, it's really great that you want to enter the game developenment industry, welcome to this awesome and fun experience of creating games.

I appreciate the feedback but this style is only a simplified version. This isn't my actually style it's a one hour drawing to help me decide on what direction to go in. I'm actually in school as a professional artist and learned design and anatomy already. I'm fully aware of the flaws since none of this is final but a sketch. I just wanted to know people's opinions on what I need to improve the concept of my game and if it's going in the right direction. Thanks again for the feedback I'll make sure to redo my designs for the release.

Why not just make it in the style you normally do or a simplified version of it? From what I'm seeing it looks like you're trying to draw in a style that conflicts with what you're used too.

I was trying to keep my sfw and nsfw art separate as much as possible. I'm not sure if I should do it in my orginal style because it might be recognizable.

I like 2 the best. 1 and 2 give more of a comic/light vibe, while 3 and 4 seem a little more real or serious.

I hope you go with your gut, and just create something rather than stressing out over people's comments. It's a lot easier for the majority to get over things they don't like when there's more than just a character and a white background. Most drawn characters, especially in porn have grossly unreal proportions; I'm glad to see one that doesn't have balloon tits or an infant's body. I'm not picking a fight with anyone trying to help with your art, I just think it's less important than having content, and hard to judge based on one character and no world. Good luck in everything you create.
