I got black out only on the middle part. No characters. Left and right side, all options available. Got sound as well. Only the characters are black out.

I tried running in Japanese locale to no avail when I noticed the characters for the files weren't displaying properly.
The reason why this is happening is that when you unzip the game the Japanese characters for the files are illegible to your computer. Because of this, the files are filled with garbage characters that can't be used.
The solution is to use this tool I found online.
You must be registered to see the links
After launching the exe all you have to do is open up a cmd and navigate to the folder where the .rar is located and unpack it using this tool.
EX: sjisunzip RJ01112739.zip Game
