I've yet to see a rework succeed. The majority i've seen have either lost players and barely getting updated or abandoned outright.

The pre-rework was campily fun if not a bit stupid, was hoping for a zombie girlfriend, got as unsurprising a porn parody of walking dead as possible lol
Post rework is trying to be serious, uses next to nothing from the pre-, and changes flow. What "coding" issue come from default renpy, I'll never know.

Game is in development since Feb 2019 and it's version 0.1 remake no69 .this has to be some sort of record more then 4 years of development still stuck on v0.1 .

I think Shut Up And Dance has been the only VN that managed to make a rework kind of succesful

Is what a rocks for brain dev would say HA GOT EM!! Jstforme that hurt! but i knew it was going to get a negative backlash as content was stripped away.
Episode 1-5 are still up and available to download, again this isn't a remake upon a remake, I'm reworking the characters, story, choices, quality as I thought 1-5 was subpar and not the vision i had for it, i have a much more powerful machine that can help me reach certain renders thats a breeze now compared to 6hr rendering times, eventually i was burnt out from my day job and doing rendering, made making a game like a toxic relationship if i didnt do a certain amount of renders i felt as if i failed and that was the WORST way to look at it and back then i was pretty dumb with development, and my management skills were terrible!
I could say all this stuff on how much better it will be with what im doing, I rather show it, I'm not doing as LARGE updates as I once was, doing it this way helps prevent burn out and actually managing it unlike before, it'll be constant updates!!! at the end of the day, I'll read your guys critiques and want to improve. I appreciate the positive and NEGATIVE. 0.02 INCOMING

We all love your game.
Some of us have been around here for 5 or 6 years, some were around long before when it was a different site. After a while you start to see patterns in how things happen and what is the usual cause.
For instance those devs that abandon 1 game and start another tend to find they will struggle to build a player base willing to support them financially.
Solo devs making more than 1 game tend to struggle and the abandoned tag appears.
Reworks rarely last and tend to lead to the abandoned tag appearing.
Of course there are exceptions like Exdeath92 mentioned. Shut up and Dance is one the extremely rare cases where a rework turned out better.
Every rule has exceptions and nobody wants to see devs fail however with how many projects we've seen abandoned over the years some of us have got a bit weary when we see certain things. In this case, seeing rework sends up alarm flares.
I hope it works out for the dev and, as he said in his words, builds the game how he envisioned. Only time will tell.

i think thats what dev been saying.the making of rework are maybe for the giving of the choice(i think?).but just give it a chance the dev make it work.and like he said..if he saying rework remake redo in upcoming future then pls do what u like.

But seriously, i do hope this game continues and we get a lot of the same story beats from the first one as the zombie fucking to make them people again was the most interesting part of the story.
You might be right, but I was really excited that this game is not abandoned and there is a chance we will continue enjoy playing this awsome game.

There is a chance it works out, it's always a possibility.
There are always exceptions to every rule and some games have had great reworks. The problem with the playerbase is because we've seen far too many failures we can't really get excited about a rework.
