Only completed with the first character a couple times. It's a decent roguelite/card game and the art style is nice, but there's an economy of animation in both combat and sex scenes. Combat only has idle animations for the player though they change with damage slightly. The player is stripped but not much is revealed. Maybe earlier in development there were more plans for erotic events in combat when armor or health were reduced? The extra nudity mod just takes away the bottom half of characters' clothes and makes them stop covering their chest when stripped, but doesn't make it any more titillating. Sex scenes fall into 2 categories a tentacle loop with no climax and a generic big guy in doggystyle. I found neither enjoyable even though the former would be appealing if it wasn't such a short animation.

The game has a lot of the same good points and flaws as Scarlet Maiden. Both competent games genuinely fun to play with quality graphics, but the erotic parts don't mesh well. They're completely skippable, interrupt the flow of gameplay, and clearly not the focus of the game. The developer genuinely made a fun game, but if you're here to get off, don't bother.

really well done easily played with 1 hand

animations are great, sound is good. and the gameplay is really solid

hope this game gets more attention it really deserves it

there is about 2 hours of content as of 1.7.3 and plenty of scenes for each character.

the priest and rogue have gameplay i have never seen before in a slay the spire inspired game and are quite fun to get the ball rolling on each

this just barely misses the 4-star mark for me. it's competent, don't get me wrong, but it has some frustrating flaws that hold it back.

Tamer Vale is a card-game roguelite very much inspired by Slay the Spire and FTL -- both excellent games to pull inspiration from. unlike the vast majority of porn games, it is very invested in being a good and interesting(!!) game before being porn. this is great, and for about half the game, it's well-executed: its difficulty forces you to play carefully on the overworld map, when choosing upgrades, and when managing the action economy in combat. when you play your cards right (ha ha), it's genuinely rewarding in the kind of way only good roguelites are.

however, the wheels start to fall off this bus once you unlock the second and third characters. the first is a summoner who can't directly deal damage, the second is a mix between an alchemist and a standard RPG cloak-and-dagger rogue. these ideas are super cool on paper, but they require so many moving parts to work effectively, leaving them underpowered in comparison to the knight you start out with and heavily reliant on RNG to make it through the second zone.

the art and animation should hold the ride together -- it's pro-tier pixel art throughout, after all. the game just doesn't have enough scenes to bridge the gap. you can only bang upgrade stations, bosses, and the wandering merchant. the fact that it's a cool game does not have anything to do with the fact that i'm playing it to jerk off.

stronger focus on nsfw content would have really helped the experience overall. if i were in the driver's seat, i probably would have held back development for a while to split the rogue into a proper stealth character and a proper alchemist character, and/or fleshed out the wait time between scenes with some good old combat sex. i know it'd be a bitch to animate it all, but Tamer Vale's concept just doesn't really work as a porn game with this little porn. as a regular game, it's flawed for sure, but still fun.

if you like roguelites and Magic: the Gathering, you'll probably get a good few hours out of this. if you don't, i wouldn't feel bad about passing it up.

It wasn't hacked properly, it didn't work.

Can a porn game be a legitimately good game and also be a nice porno? This question has been asked a lot. Many seem to think that porn games can have mediocre gameplay at best. They say that a game trying to get you off necessarily suffers in the game dev department,

    Tamer vale disagrees.

Pixelbee has done an incredible job making a fun card game, and adding scenes in it that look appealing and fit in the story. In making this game they have raised the bar for all creators making NSFW games, and become the gold standard of game design.

Specific areas where this game excels:
-The art keeps you wanting more
-The gameplay loop is simple yet deep
    -Highly replayable
-Well structured and paced. Rewards you with sex for winning, rather than the usual self defeating game that will show you sex scenes if you are defeated by a monster.

If you like cards and pixel ladies play this game.

    The game is excellent.
3-star reviews or lower don't seem to make much sense.

A combat deck/card game, with NSFW theme and content.
    - It definitely checks all those boxes and sure while the NSFW content isn't incredibly frequent, it's a reward style NSFW setup. You get some NSFW scenes during power-ups/healing shrines etc. Then the rest is given upon defeating main bosses(3).

NSFW: A very sexy/appealing 2d style animation, just like the developer's previous game. It's good enough that it will leave you wanting more, which unfortunately to be fair, this kind of animation is quite time consuming, but the quality is worth it. The sounds are basic but attractive, about what you'd expect, notably the 3 different characters have differences in moans which is cool.

Narrative/Story: Not really there, just some dialogue with 2 NPCs during adventuring, just like 90% of NSFW combat games, but it's there if you want it. (Totally just skippable likely by most players).

Combat/Balance: The balance of a game like this is always going to be near impossible to get right, it takes forever, and I have not found a single card game that can't be heavily abused. There are just too many variables, even in a smaller game like this. If you nerf something, then it just never gets used and the next best thing will just be spammed instead. People complaining about balance haven't played enough card games it would seem. There will ALWAYS be a meta setup and bad or good cards. What makes these fun is trying "Off-Meta" decks or exploring your own ideas. The game is easy enough to go through without any guides or help, though there will always be tips and guides from other players for those that desire them. The deck building, effects, sounds are all decent enough to provide a fun experience for a card game. You have opportunities to add cards, remove cards, upgrade cards, and more with a couple merchant NPC's along your level progression. This makes for a reasonably fun and unique experience.

Progression: The progression is my only potential complaint, it's quite slow and repetitive of course, but so is every card game. It seems it would be more desirable to play this game a little bit here and there and not try to blow through the game in one night. (Though it's totally doable, it just won't feel good or rewarding, but what NSFW game that you blow through doesn't fuck up your reward system am I right?)

TLDR: The game is worth playing 100%.
If you enjoy any other NSFW card games, then you'll absolutely find yourself having a decent time with this one.
The only complaints from other players aren't that fair/reasonable.

Absolutely love this game. One of the best I've ever played. Most of the games in this setting emphatize on getting scenes from losses, whereas this one actually requires to progress through the game. Artstyle is masterpiece and I've never thought that I would say this since I usually try to avoid pixelated games. At the moment the amount of scenes and diversity in combat lacks, but I'm hoping for a bright future.

From the moment I dove into this game, I was immediately captivated by its stunning animation and meticulous attention to detail in every frame. The artwork is simply breathtaking, bringing the game world to life in vivid color and fluid motion. But beauty is only skin deep, right? Thankfully, this game offers more than just a pretty facade.

The mechanics are refreshingly straightforward, making it easy for players of all skill levels to jump right in and start having fun. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or a newcomer to the scene, you'll find the controls intuitive and the objectives clear. And let's talk about combat – it's the real star of the show here. Not only is it incredibly cool to watch unfold, but it's also downright enjoyable to participate in. The developers have struck the perfect balance between challenge and accessibility, making it easy to pick up and play while still offering plenty of depth for those seeking mastery.

What really sets this game apart, though, is its exploitable combat system. Sure, it's fun to button mash your way to victory, but there's also a surprising amount of strategy involved for those willing to dig a little deeper. With each encounter feeling like a puzzle waiting to be solved, the gameplay never grows stale or repetitive. In short, this game is a must-play for anyone looking for a visually stunning, mechanically satisfying experience that's as fun as it is rewarding.

I don't understand why this game exists. The H element is virtually non existent, this isn't a game that you can get off to. At least Last Evil had a respectful amount of H content.
As it is it's just a dumbed down Slay the Spire, if you're after a good card building rogue-like just play that instead.

Tamer Vale v1.7 is a card rogue like game with very pretty pixel art and three female characters to choose for your run. In the map presented you get to pick which direction you intend to go and what kind of challenges you will face. As you win battles in a card fight you get to upgrade your cards up to plus two, receive new cards, pay for new ones or pay to remove some. You also get upgrades for your character. At the end of each map there is a big fight that works slightly differently from the basic battles. Besides some teasing, the gameplay has absolutely nothing to do with the hentai genre, you will only unlock scenes in upgrades and in boss fights. The game is heavily focused on card combat, and let me tell you, it gets boring very quickly. At the beginning it isn't much of a problem, but as you progress you will notice that the fights take much longer. Every enemy becomes a health sponge and an armor bulk. And if that is not enough, plenty of enemies boost other's armor or health, making the fights prolong their stay even further for a roguelike game. Since the combat itself is nothing out of the ordinary card attack/defense, the fights will become boring slogs. But the biggest problem with the game is the mediocrity of scenes. Despite presenting beautiful characters, the number of scenes is laughable. In the gallery section you get to unlock twenty two images that are slightly animated, and that is it. Some developers are unable to understand that when a player picks one of the games of this genre, the player wants to see mounds of content. Gameplay and story are secondary elements in this kind of game. Sadly, albeit it has a very good art, it is wasted here with tedious combat and lack of expected content.

Pretty fun, not too hard and satisfying game on the gameplay side.
The pixel art is pretty and the animations are nice and smooth but that is all it had. you need to grind a bit to see all the animations which are eventually and 1 second loop animations with dialogue or anything which disappointing.
After reaching the final boss with the first character and unlocking the scene with the trader I got the point of the game and that was enough for me.
Could be fun if card battler rougelike is what you like.

Great art and design, but lacks content, both hentai and gameplay-wise.
As a roguelike the game gets stale and boring really quickly, it's quite shallow as you'd expect from a porn game, but then again there's barely any porn and you can see literally everything a game has to offer in one run that takes less than an hour.

    philtwo

addicting. decent art. engaging difficulty curve on hard but could use some tweaks to stop minimal card count deck cheese. you also start the game with all the best cards unlocked and have to grind pretty hard to unlock bad cards. around 1-3 hours of playtime per play-through on hard. decent soundtrack. not much ero content. could use some more content overall due to the first word in parenthesis in rule 3 of Reviewing Rules. it would have been better to have more ero content for one girl instead of barely any for three girls.

Neat pornified Slay the Spire. This is an actual game and an addictive one at that. The art style and animations are wonderful with sound effects kicking them up a notch.

Wish there was some kind of an item system, more variety, and more animations (the healer and her spirits? come on) but that's me being very greedy because this is unreasonably good as is.

    ScrollPast

Unique, fun, and challenging gameplay. It has relatively high replayability, but it starts to get tiresome considering how time-consuming turn-based rogue-likes are. You will have to play multiple playthroughs as every character to get all the scenes, which is just too much.

    Despite
conceptually being about taming, none of the tamed beasts will assist you. And, unfortunately, the only semi-lewd battle action (distraction) is pretty weak and doesn’t trigger any scene or animation. Only the area bosses are tamable, so all the other monsters are purely for combat. And the area bosses all kinda look the same. Making a game about sexually taming monsters but only make a small fraction of the monsters tamable feels like missed potential. A nice touch is the animation / armor change depending on the character's health.

Solid gameplay and solid art, but the scenes are a little too far apart to stay aroused throughout play, and the devs overestimate just how replayable the game is.

A little gem tailor made to my interests. I love card games and I love the art styles. If you want a card game it's an easy recommendation to try it out.

As a porn game. There are 7 animations x 3 + 1 group scene. While that sounds like a decent amount. Between the tentacles (not my particular cup of tea) and playtime it left me wanting a little more.

As a card game. It has some fascinating mechanics that were a joy to discover. However each character is build around a singular idea. That and the lack of enemy variety leaves the replay value a little low. Yet certain elements of the game are build around replaying. 3 porn scenes are locked behind multiple playthroughs.

Warning pedantic. All 3 characters make use of healing. 2 of them have reusable healing build into their start decks. As a design decision I find this troubling. Because it can lead to optimal play being to stall. Meaning leaving a weaker enemy alive for many turns so you can draw into your heal over and over again.

No just no. As deckbuilder - game absolutely had zero interest. As porno game...animations is pretty good but as previous game Zetria they are not included in almost whole game.

So except pretty pixel-art animations game can't give you any interesting experience.

This game is great. The three different playable characters have different fighting styles that keep up the interest between play throughs, and the fact there there is some content that requires multiple runs to see helps add some replay-ability.
Additionally, the sounds and UI are good and clear and obviously the art and animations are fantastic I was really loving the animations unlocked along the way. My only wish is that there would be more charaters added, and perhaps some more lewdity in the actual battles.
9/10 great game, both as a porn game and as a deck builder.

Immersing oneself in this card-based video game proves to be a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

However, it's worth noting that the adult content within is somewhat sparse and forgettable, devoid of any significant build-up or anticipation. While it stands as a commendable game in its own right, it may not necessarily cater to those seeking a more, shall we say, stimulating experience.

So, if your gaming aspirations involve more than just strategic card play, this might not be the ideal choice for a satisfying fapping session!

    Oblivion9873

Solid deck-building roguelike with sexy pixel art.
Biggest gripe is that most of the interesting cards are locked behind leveling up the characters and it takes too long to level them up for said cards. You find yourself using a very limited selection of them as a result for most of your playtime, leading to increased repetition. I get they wanted a reasonable progression system but making the leveling process more tedious isn't a good idea.
