Wow lot's of changes on the steam version, not liking it much. Could have at least changed that ridiculous flock of seagulls haircut on the MC.

The recent compressed version is patched, search the thread, I've already said this on multiple pages, like earlier on this one.
Get used to this search I've described, it saves you time and keeps you sailing in all threads

So... The first Dev Log of Season 2 with Season 1 behind us... It feels good.
I have just added the Android version to the pinned release post of Season 1 and released the two soundtrack packs on Steam.
50% of the revenue will go to the music artist. From my various talks with different artists, I know how little (if anything) most of them make.
I wish I could've done the same for Vesky, but he's with Musicbed, so that's not going to happen.

I only found him recently, but he was a pleasure to talk to. His enthusiasm and the fact that we're both living in Berlin only added to it. And I really liked "Flüsternde Schatten."
Sadly, I still used the old contract for Late Kids. I find them criminally underrated, and I will soon contact them to re-license the music for Season 2 and use my new contract. If they accept, I will do the same for them when S2 releases on Steam.
GOG and EPIC
Season 1 will be released on GOG on the 17th, and Epic Games on the... Yeah... Umm... They found my Steam page and are forcing me to add achievements to Epic.

It's a pain in the ass to add the achievements to Epic. But hopefully, I'll finish that before the 17th.
(Both pages should be available in Germany.)
I will ask them for an exception if I can't get it to work. (I saw several posts of Devs who didn't have to do it.)
Season 1's pricing and the Serene Tier.
Let me also address the new Tier. I've mentioned through 2023, that Season 1 will match the pricing of the digital storefronts.
GOG, for example, checks my other stores and matches the pricing. I can't put the pricing there myself, so I had to adjust it.
Season 2 - Chapter 1 will, of course, be available for the Summer tier. ($5) Nothing will change to the Season 2 access until it is released on the storefronts.
SG's release on Steam was nice, but the greatest thing is that no more reworks are left. I can't even describe how "light" I feel.
By far, my personal highlight.
I, of course, still stand behind the reworks. Doing it was the right choice and now that it's done, it actually feels like I finished an update for once.
Previously, I finished, for example, Chapter 4, and I knew that another 2k renders were waiting for me with the rework... And by the time that was done, I was already under some pressure to release the next update.
It slurped me mentally. But the slurping is over.

It's centralized now, and the choice menu also looks really nice. (I'll preview it in the next log.)
Quite a huge portion of S2-Chapter 1 is under non-disclosure. Previews will be limited for a while.
But in the next log, I will show some Bellchen previews.
I think next week, I've recharged my social batteries and will start contacting a few new music artists and the ones I want to take into Season 2.
This doesn't include Grace Mesa, etc.
Due to Season 2's adult nature, we won't be hearing them again—at least until I have enough "weight" to get custom deals with the big music companies.

I'll just point out this was avoidable. Ocean didn't have to back himself into that corner. But he changed plans so many times during these reworks that there was no chance it wouldn't happen.

Yeah, i understand you.I disagree about Zara and Nadia. Nika is smart enough to realise that their revenge was caused by his actions. And he didn't have a problem with it except that they used Nami against him. So instead of escalating the situation further, he put a stop to it and let them know they crossed the line.
The only LIs for whom his dislike is justified are Bella and Vanessa. In Bella's case, it's just an excuse to quickly bring them together through a simulated conflict that is quickly resolved. In Vanessa's case... well, I've already said that I think about the possibility of turning them against each other if it doesn't block her path. I want it so much.
I understand the revenge of Zara and Nadia, Nika piss them off and they deserve the posibility of revenge, but i think handcuff him, undress him and Zara putting her foot in his mouth is worse than play them like fools and rip Zara´s shirt (Zara exposed boob is serious too , even if was unintentionally).
So, what i want to say is: yes, i understand why Nika wants to stop their "battle" but for me the measures Zara and Nadia made in their revenge are a little too far, and knowing Nika is a guy who doesn´t give a fuck and doesn´t let people fuck with him i´not sure why he would be friendly with them, okay, i understand if he "relax the environment" a little but play with Nadia in the board game or have a basket match with Zara in the final chapter... If you are in their path okay but if not for me seems forced
This about Zara seems contradictory to me too, going back to Zara putting her foot in Nika´s mouth , she warns him that if he tries again to humilliate her she is going to punish him, okay, but i have played two times, one path being friendly with Zara and following her path and other path trying to humilliate her and confront her when the occasions appear and Zara is still being friendly with Nika and they continue to make plans like if nothing happened. How is she going to punish him if she isn´t bother with Nika´s behaviour? Maybe Zara isn´t so dangerous like she tried to look? Or is just that Ocean deleted the dark path and that´s why those options can´t happen? We will see more in the second season but i don´t know, seems contradictory to me.
About Bella yeah, i love her path and their connections but in my second path Nika went with Bella to Mario´s house for revenge for what he (and his friends) said about him when he was with Milla and you can´t still being mad with Bella, this event force you to be closer to her. About Vanessa yeah... I liker her because is a character who seems to have nasty fetishes, and i love that, i will try to turn them againts each other in one of my paths too

After a recent Steam update, all versions are now the same. In my opinion, your best bet is to get the version here and use the Scrappy mod, which also uncensor the game to some extent.
