What are ad removal codes and do this version needs them and if yes, how to apply them?

What ads? I do not have any in GOG and Steam versions...

ads were in the really old versions . basically every 10 min the game would ask you to visit their patreon/website they were removed shortly before the first season ended .

You are choosing name by Yourself at the begining of the game.

name you got and dialogue you can skip with pressing tab assuming that settings in preferences/options are right.
