So, pals,

I DID PROMISE A WALKTHROUGH... and now... here you are!! Summer Scent 0.55 walkthrough guide.

50 pages, 15 full paths... it took me a whole week. So enjoy and please don't complain if you run into a few typos.

I just want to add this:

the more paths you play, the more you enjoy the story.

-------------

EDIT: since the Author reworked some scenes in the early days, my walkthrough is OUTDATED and some routes ARE WRONG. I'm working on it, guys. Just wait for a few days.

------------

I just did it! UPDATED TO 0.63 now!!!

enjoy!
WHERE IS IT i made an account just to ask this! i dont understand how this webite works man....

Yeah, I guess he should just be happy he gets "criticism" on his work from people who doesn't pay him for his work. Makes sense.
I mean everyone on here probably do full time work for free for whiny people for fun, right?
No?
Huh, weird that...

If it was on the "pay for stuff" sites, I'd give SOME leeway, but HERE? Right...
I don't expect the developers to cater to people who aren't paying for his his work, but if he doesn't want feedback from said people that aren't paying for his work, don't read/response on a forum inhabited largely by people who aren't paying for his work. Responses from customers are what comments on your official channels (Patreon/SubscribeStar) are for.

Let's be clear, me personally, if F95 wasn't here, I'd just be sticking to porn or games I can get on Steam or get a demo for. Early Access for games is a slippery slope to begin with, but Adult games have taken it to the next level by releasing things that barely even qualify as a tech demo (not referring to this game here) and then expect people to start subscribing. I've absolutely played "games" on here where even $5 was too much for what they're providing. Hell, unless you're a slow reader most of the games I've played on here could be finished inside Steam's refund window.

My average subscription level on Patreon/SubscribeStar is $10 and as a general rule, I stay active for at least a few months. There's some that are past a year at this point. I'm already getting far less for my money than I am with a non-adult video game. Therefore, if I'm only getting one or two updates a year for something I'm paying monthly for, they had better be decent sized updates or the game needs to already be at a point where it feels worth full game price. This game/dev, in my opinion, doesn't meet that criteria for me.

(Foreword: this is not meant as a personal attack.)
A perfectly acceptable choice. Choices on how you invest your time and money are fine. But then again, if every author met your criteria, you soon would have to choose which ones to support between all of them not to go bankrupt - and the cycle would begin anew.
You've underlined the paradox of complaining about the author's choices on a pirate forum: your words hold very little value and sway on the author by definition, since you're not rewarding his efforts in any way - people complaining only manage to get abrasive (especially the most petulant "I NEED TO CONSUME THE PRODUCT" types). And yet, some authors still hang around here, and need to put on a good face in the hope of gaining a little more support - however, people complimenting their game or critiquing it are basically handing them poisoned morsels.
All in all, I don't think there is a perfect moral to this; my only suggestion to anyone would be, voice your opinions with a modicum of decency, and stop feeling entitled to something you're not. Your opinion, however popular it may be, is not necessarily the only one or the best one. Opinions differ, and that's all there is to it.

Dev Update #242

The couple of weeks after a release is always a weird time. I spend most of my time making minor corrections to the script (no matter how much time we spend proofreading the script, there is no shortage of typos, I can tell you that), planning the next content, trying new stuff and considering changing or upgrading the various software I use. It's a period of transition and decision-making. Some of these decisions are potentially important, like reworking characters or updating Daz.

A new mom.

I reworked her figure. The previous wasn't bad but wasn't great either. her skin wasn't the greatest and she bore little resemblance to her offspring. The new one embarks 50 % of Eve in her base structure and her overall geometry and skin are simply better.

.png

I don't plan to do any canon mom-related content, but you can expect to see her in bonus renders.

Updating Daz.

I haven't done it yet but I'm getting ready for it. Working on v0.6.4 I felt the limitation of the outdated version of Daz I am currently working with. I could have used some volumetric shaders in that shower scene, but sadly, Daz 4.16 cannot do that. While Daz 4.22 can.

However, it's not an easy jump. I will have to rework the lighting of every set, as ghost lights are now working differently. I have no doubt I'll get good results with these new lights, but before making that jump, I have to make sure I don't have any old renders to rerun. It's not really important for all the content from Day 2 to Day 5, as I plan to rework all of it. But it is for all the Day 6 visuals that are definitive.

Maybe I can try tricking my computer into hosting several different versions of the software, just to be able to retouch old content if needed. I have to investigate before I do anything.

Day 5 Scene 23.

I've already talked about that. Just like in Day 2 Scene 10. I use in this scene some real images from an old movie. As I don't want to take any risks, I'm going to remove them before I hit the Steam button.

++NKv2.jpg

I'm not going to fully rework the scene for now (that will come later, of course) and I'm simply going to rerender a few shots. I have prepared the new "movie". The new shots should be ready by the start of next week.

I'm not putting too much effort into that task as I will rework the entire scene at some point in the future.

V0.6.5 map.

It's not done. Or at least not completely.

I'm mapping the whole night and that is a lot of content. So far, I have planned 16 scenes before we reach the morning of Day 7, 13 of them being of the naughty kind.

Obviously, not everything will fit into v0.6.5. I'm not sure how I will split all of that. Scenes 28 and 29 have to be released together. That's the only thing I'm sure of so far. I won't make any decision until the map is complete.

Thank you for reading me, and thank you again for supporting me.

The Naughty Captain.

Yeah, it's a lot. But you don't have to play them all... ;)

honestly I don't much care for most of them. I did the Eve/Cassie/Kelly solo love routes, and the Eve/Cassie dual love one. The rest I won't bother with.
While I do kind of agree with you, just the fact that the other paths are there, and that you can make mistakes while trying to get the path you do want, is gold. In my opinion.

Why do some less than intelligent people think someone has to be a chef to know something tastes bad or a movie producer to know a movie isn't good? Teasing is BORING. If I wanted a no sex game, I'd play a non-adult game or AWAM.
And yet here you are.. Bitching and complaining in a game thread that's OBVIOUSLY not to your taste. Since the previous analogy went above your ability to understand, let's try this...

Why would you go into a restaurant that specializes in seafood, and bitch and moan that it doesn't have the same offerings of beef and pork as a restaurant specializing in that? Again, and I'll make the concept simple for you.. If you don't like the pace of the story, OR the sex scenes in it, FIND ANOTHER FUCKING GAME TO PLAY.

As mentioned, there are thousands of games on the site you could play, only a moron would stay in a game thread for a game they obviously don't like, just to bitch and moan that the game doesn't suit them. So grow some maturity and emotional intelligence, act like an adult and move the fuck on if the game doesn't meet what you want from it.

on the night in the pool (sancho mod) if we kiss kelly she join harem right?? (change path kelly)
Kelly is an either/or situation. You can have the harem OR Kelly, you cannot have both. The other two girls would not be a harem with Kelly also. They made it abundantly clear that they *only* reason they even considered sharing the MC was because the person they were sharing with was each other.

Yeah, I suspect you are a psychic? Are you? Because you sure seem to know that NO ONE who comments in this thread here is a patreon supporter or plans to buy the game on steam or elsewhere once it's finished.

This is also not meant as a personal attack, if you think there is some snark here, it's directed at the post I quoted above yours.

The thing where this whole idea of "this is a pirate forum, no dev should give a damn about their opinions" falls apart a bit is of course when you consider that whether this is a pirate forum or not doesn't actually say anything about the quality of the criticism.

And basically everyone writing creatively should be willing and able to accept criticism, for one they will encounter it anyway and the best option to deal with it, is to get whatever you can out of it, even if it is just a laugh about some particular stupid criticism. What I often see on patreon sites and discords is a hopeless echo chamber, among sometimes hundreds of members and supporters just a few are willing to give constructive criticism instead of just praising everything the dev does.
And tbh. there are games where it shows, those that drag on endlessly, just doing the same old, same old each update, those where the dev hasn't improved in any way since the first version, story, ui, visuals...

Sure, there are a lot of people here who are basically just complaining, but that isn't all there is. You often get really long posts each update about what people liked, what they felt didn't work... and if you really think about it, there is no real reason why this should be less important than what comes from someone who is already supporting the game, as long as it is valid and constructive criticism. Even something simple like, "I don't think that last sex scene was that good, here's why...." could be helpful, if it is echoed often enough.

Don't forget that a lot of devs are trying to get their games on other platforms, and it can only help to improve the product as much as possible, no matter whether the inspiration for that comes from a pirate site, the discord or the patreon comments.

I could name several games, off the top of my head (I won't because this will probably lead to my post being removed, and I don't want to start shit with white knights for these games here), where the dev started out here, even before they put it on patreon, was glad for the support here, then the first actual criticism game and after a while they read something they really didn't want to see and left in a huff, only surrounding themselves with their sycophants on their discord and patreon and the games suffered for it. Maybe not the sales, a lot of bad games earn a lot of money, but the quality of the game suffered because no one wanted to say anything that could make the dev sad or mad.

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't mean attacking the dev endlessly or on a personal level, or trying to force him to change the whole concept of his game by plastering the thread with harassment, I know a lot of devs who simply stopped working on their games due to that kind of people here, I mean actual criticism, not just insults and attacks.

And now I'm gonna go and lick my wounds and quietly cry a little, because I love this game and this update sadly won't have anything new for my saved routes.

Finally got around to playing the update.

A semi-satisfying way to wrap up the evil and psycho paths, though in the Evil Asshole path I would have liked to see a scene depicting the MC's relationship with Eve and Cassie after being released from prison, if any at all.

Happy to see these paths wrapped up so new updates can focus in on the more popular paths.
