My real problem here was the "two times shorter". Like we wait 10 months, but it was a big update (not that big but still big).
We've already waited 7 monthes for two times shorter lenght ?
At that time I was thinking "sad that the next update will be short, but it's cool that we'll see it in few monthes not an endless wait like last time" and now...
Maybe there is hope and they will give us a bigger update than what they thought because sometimes you need to do more in the process I don't know.

What does "two times shorter" even mean? I guess that's a phrase used by someone that never understood fractions/ratios.
Is it half as long (half the slides/animations/words/play time) or one third as long (refer to prior parenthetical) or what? Does it refer to overall length, or the ratio of the fap material someone wanted to story telling (some folks simply don't read)?
If someone is going to criticize (I know - it was the other guy, but you seem to know what he may have been trying to say since you've played and I haven't) it is really helpful for those new to the VN thread what they are really saying rather than nonsensical drivel.

It's funny, I really loved this game last time I played it but it's been so long since the last update I totally forgot about it until I ran into someone with it in their signature.
Dev seems to be doing very well on Patreon though so I guess there won't be an update any time soon.

I dont think this gets talked enough, but as i was replaying the game again i noticed a pattern that should be a fairly normal/standard thing but isn't in so many games. In most games on here the protagonists are treated like they are the main character in a cheap harem anime. Often times the girls really dont have much of agency of their own other than they just wanna fuck the MC as much as he wants to fuck them.
It's funny how thats very much not the case with this game, like sure there are girls that like the MC but even they all make sense in context and isnt just a random thing that has to happen because pron visual novel. The girls have lives outside of the influence of the MC with their own goals even if those goals coincide with the MC. The main girls are the closest ones to the MC since they also had the most interactions but then you have Cassandra who just wanted a quick fuck, Ms Hill who doesnt really view the MC as a potential partner yet, Jenni who likes the MC but is equally using him as an outlet to get back at her dad since an outsider isnt afraid to make a move on her like the locals, Officer Lainey is straight up using the MC, Livia doesnt care about him which is normal for someone who she just met, especially working as a bartender at the bar where thats an every day occurrence, hell the Devs even make fun of this trope with the stripper who tells the MC he is special to her even though thats obviously BS and she is a stripper and thats literally what she says to every other costumer.
I like this a lot because not only does it make the game and characters feel more real, it's also makes the game more interesting and challenging in the long run.
As i said in the start this feels like it should be a pretty normal/standard thing in games like this but its really not. Even some very popular games on here who i wont mention but that gets compared to this game a lot seems to struggle with this, with having 30+ girls at this point most of who are swooning over the most unlikable, frigid MC ever just be meeting him once. But i digress the point is i love what Northpx are doing and i just wanna say its a strange feeling when you replay a freaking porn game multiple times and end up appreciating it more with each playthrough.

They will have already assembled a new computer in the summer to render the same animations, this will reduce the wait time by 2-3 months and lead to a development cycle of 4-5 months. I hope so, at least it should be.

I can respect that. For me, the pacing of Summer Heat doesn't bother me because I want to dive into those sweater puppies ASAP. Whatever "plot" makes it happen sooner, I'm on board.
I read a lot and I do like a good story, but when it comes to AVNs the story isn't as important to me as is excellent art, characters, and good character relationships/romances that I can give a shit about. If the plot can get me to those things, then it does it's job. I don't need the storytelling to be all that realistic when it comes down to it so long as I like the characters... and the prons.

Imo devs are making the game like they want and they try to give us the feeling they want to transmit. I don´t think Summer Heat is a game trying to be real, just a game trying to be good as its own pace, that´s why i´m not bother with the Mc fucking lots of girls in one day, and if the model´s renders are as good as in this game... How can i complain?
I just take the good things each game gives me, if there is a minimum i like, of course.
