Shaft is a power fantasy. Training day is a gang land power fantasy. Troy is a all out power fantasy. House of the Dragon is a balls to the wall incesst cess pool power fantasy with Damon plot armored giga chad to cuck and best them all - no real reason behind it apart from DEus Ex R.R. MArtin or some script writer making the scenes and events all work out in his favor. Blade is a power fantasy. Batman is a power fantasy. Superman is a power fanatsy. All the Marvel movies are all out power fantasy blockbusters. This never invalidated their plots or their characters.

Taken is a power fantasy, Invincible is a power fantasy, Punnisher is a power fantasy, John Wick is a power fantasy, all Matrix movies are power fantasy movies, WAtchmen is a power fantasy, Equalizer is a power fantasy.

These movies never stopped Denzel or Kianu or Liam or any of their fellow actors to keep endorsing them time and time and again.

Would you say they lack depth? Would you say they lack world building or propper fleshed out characters?

Barbie is a power fantasy and Oppenheimer is a power fantasy - the giga chad protagonists are OP behemoths that cuck everybody and win all their battles with little to no struggle - they get their way despite being mean, assholes and outright egotistical maniacs hell bent on toppelling everybody else - yet they are plot armored to dominate.

They still got Oscar nominations and wins by the truckload.

Would you say they all are bad movies?

i agree my writting aren't the best, mostly cause i still struggle with english and use a lot of of tools to correct my grammar and everything, thankfully i'm improving, the writting at mid- late game is a little better compared with the start.

I think the most important thing is that you make the game you want to make, and you don't have to listen to what I or anybody here say about it because we maybe value very different things. I'm just not sure you'll find your audience in this thread, even more after I read the reviews, that's all. And it isn't my topic, so don't let my doubts scare you away.

The key term was "all out power fantasy". I think power fantasy stories can be fun if they're done with a bit of flair. Like, roll with the minimum demands of the genre or audience (so this strains suspension of disbelief), but then don't go overboard and keep the power fantasy part a bit in check. But this thread isn't known for its love of any power fantasies, really.

So I don't say power fantasies are bad. Hell, my profile picture is from a gloriously trashy power fantasy game, and my favourite VN has strong power fantasy elements too.

I didn't see most of those films, so I can't judge all of them. Troy was a bad film and it lacked like all of that. The Matrix movies were great and had depth and world building. Didn't see House of the Dragon, but Martin's books usualy have depth and fleshed out characters, his world building is okayish though (he can never decide if Westeros is a carved up kingdom with feudal vassalage or a semi-centralised bureaucratic empire). The screen adaptations are normally a lot worse.

is gothgirlgames a brand or the girl part refer to your gender?

i like evakiss's ORS, that's mainly why im asking. Law of Attraction and more than that Karlsson Gambit is also good. Karlsson Gambit is not for me preference-wise but it's pretty good. Thats why im asking

okay i'll try your game. but i need to play seeking closure first. then probably eternum after that. then your game.

normally i don't really care whether a writer is man or woman on other medium but I found that with regards to AVN, women writers on average makes good games. Also why I ask. Whether it's Evakiss, Cherrylicious, or Tess, i think on average, i had good experience playing those. I don't like the majority of Karlsson Gambit at all but the underlying story is actually good.

so yeah, i'm looking forward to play your game.

Some thoughts on two little updates.

No Expectation's second chapter is out. My earlier review is here. If you were interested in the stripper girl from chapter 1, this is the update for you. If not, very little of note happens until the very end (especially if you stay on Celine's path), and the chapter ends with a major branching point. That's a bit worrying because it looks like the two paths will have very little overlap going forward. Hopefully, Mr Georgie won't get burned out.

Price of Power has had an update as well. It's rare for an AVN to keep me this invested after so many chapters - 21! - and it doesn't even seem to be running out of steam. We got another slideshow, and what a delight it was! Legacy's theory seems stronger, and the idea that the original islanders were some sort of isolationist sect potentially responsible for the apocalypse is big news and Maria's point about "pureblood" marriages implies that the Ecclesiarchy knows this history. If true, that has major implications for the island's relationship with the mainland. I can't wait to see where that's going!

Also, a small detail, but I love that Maria doesn't want to be a stay at home mum. It would be so easy, even expected of someone of her position, but it's just not her.

As for the rest of the LIs, my ideal path - solo Emilia - remains a dream, but the throuple path is still decently realistic. I didn't like that it was up to the player to decide if Zaya and Lune should be a couple. Doubly so on the non-harem paths. Player-sexual characters are pandering cop-outs in general, but it's worse here because their mutual attraction is pre-established:

Still, an excellent update overall!

This was a new one to me, and what a little gem it was! Super wholesome but still engaging, and the Celine path that I took felt quite true to life.
I actually have a real-life memory of meeting someone at a party we had travelled to from different cities, knowing from the beginning that 24 hours later we would be hundreds of miles apart. And while it started with no expectations, a week later it was one of the most important relationships in my life.
If there is something I love to find in these games, it's when there is something in a story that I can relate to like that.

This is a tough question, bro, although there are many games with this trope, most of them can hardly be called story-based which is the topic of this thread, they are all usually about a MC who returns to his "roommates" and corrupts them, and the focus is on the corruption part :)
