Personally, I'm not a fan of the brothel content either, I prefer the cells stuff.
I get that the premise of the game is making money, but there's gotta be easier ways to make money with mind-control than by running a cosplay brothel.
I'm not gonna go all crazy with it with the 'Pimps are the real cucks' nonsense, but selfishness and possessiveness are key traits here. The idea of renting the girls out really does nothing for me, especially since they're brainwashed so deeply that no trace of their original personality remains, until you drop them into the cells and suddenly they're back to normal.
Given that Lex has cloning, I could easily see him keeping ALL of the original super-heroines in his cells for personal use and sending out clones to brothels or strip-clubs.
The best of both worlds, where he gets to keep them all to himself and rent them for cash.
That'd also more neatly explain why their personalities are completely different in the brothel/club scenes. It's actually different people who were tank-bred for this purpose and then programmed for total loyalty.
Maybe with specific events (like the leash scenes) taking the real girls to the club where they are made to switch places where their doppelgangers as they're made to dance for the night while retaining their personalities and consciousness.
That also opens the doors for twincest/selfcest content.

Yeah, you could play some real mindgames with clones. All sorts of bullshit tricks even including showing a heroine footage of her clone and telling her that it's footage of herself, from events that she was made to forget.
In-game lex often threatens to send girls from the cells to the club if they're uncooperative, it could be fun to pretend that you already did. Show her clone happily dancing for strangers, or even working in the brothel.
Of course, with the game how it currently is, you wouldn't need to pretend. You could literally take a girl from the club to the cells and she wouldn't remember it, so an event where you show her security cam footage is totally doable.
I dunno, it feels more fun if you're lying about it though.
