My rating for this game is 4.5/5 over 5. If the creator made the adjustments to the sequel, we might get a 5/5 game.

Pros:

• I think some of the music is unique to this game
• Great artwork
• Unique artwork for many characters.
• The NPCs have this unique style of being silhouettes and are usually referred to as Man A, Drunk Man A, Pervert Guy, Glasses Guy etc. This makes it funny later when Drunk Man is later changed to Sober Man A.
• The story is REALLY good. While I don’t care too much about Rikune, it’s the villains that REALLY shine in this game.

Cons:

• Game is short. Creator acknowledges this
• No battle fuck. Created wanted this but didn’t have time.
• Gatcha mechanic is pretty worthless. You can beat the game without anything in there.
• Only one sidequest is a long hentai scene the farther in the game you go. We need more.
• A few unanswered questions. If a sequel is made, the creator will address them.

The story was my favorite part of this game and the fact there's an entire dungeon with hypnosis theme. Although, I don't like how failing one time in this dungeon is an instant game over in contrast to the other areas where you are given multiple chances to escape (you only get one).

I didn't get past dungeon two because the game has such an awfully boring start. Don't design porn games this way. Don't put in basic, boring combat. That's now why people play porn games. Be up front about the porn content. This may have some good stuff later on, but spending an hour just to get to that shit is not worth it.

So, a short-ish game with a low number of well visualized, very long scenes, centered around the themes of pleasure-amplification and mind-control.

The translation is a bit awkward, falling somewhere between a MTL and a localization. Despite the sexual themes, there is actually a story here, that I would describe as simplistic, melancholic and tropey, which is probably not what you would expect from a hentai-game. There is also linear dungeon-crawling gameplay, which is extremely simple, and provides little-to-no payoff.

This is the dev's first game, and they seem to be playing around with lots of ideas. I personally do think that this is not a good game, but it's still a step above bad. Even given some simplistic ideas and barebones execution, the writing for the scenes at least has some ideas. It does what it needs to do to make MC-content enjoyable, even if there are games that have done it better.

For me, a lewd game is good if it can get it's story, gameplay and fantasy to pull in the same direction, and in that respect this game is kind of a failure. All of the sexual scenes are almost completely disconnected from the story, and the scene-on-loss-content works against the gameplay. A lot of content feels half-baked, and it leaves the game feeling poorer for it. Especially since the MC is left pretty underdeveloped, which undercuts the corruption-theme.

This is only my second review but I was really surprised by this little gem that I want to share my thoughts. I hope this review is helpful!

Gameplay (2/5)

This game acknowledges that it's not aiming to be deep. You click to roll some dice, you click to attack, and you click to skip text. While part of me wishes this game would've leaned into its systems and offered a tougher challenge, I understand it's meant to be an enjoyable stroll through its story.

There's a rugged calculator for things like your level and equipment but you'll be overpowered and over-equipped quickly. Pair this with an oddly-addicting gacha system where you receive even more powerful equipment and you'll find yourself being stronger than the last boss by a wide margin. There's items you'll rarely use and money you'll never need. Sometimes, two choices will pop up yet those don't matter, providing slight variety in dialogue. They're also present in H-scenes but have no weight to them, only saving a few slides of text if you escape. Losing has no consequences, either.

To summarize, I'd say "well, long as we're having fun" fits the bill. I'm still giving it 2/5 on gameplay as making tougher dice rolls would've made a more engaging experience. It became a dull click-a-thon, only spruced up by the H-scenes and story.

H-Scene (4/5)

The enemy variety is decent but only three are lewd, while two characters have their own H-content. Two of them are tentacle-based, two focus on hypnosis, and the last revolves around moral degradation. If you enjoy a female character succumbing to pleasure then you'll be very pleased.

There's a double-edged sword and it's that the H-scenes are long. If you dislike a particular scene, chances are you won't bother with the rest of its events. If you enjoy them, you'll be having a fine-dining experience. The writing is highly praised by other reviews and I agree: it's fantastic smut.

What I don't like about the H-scenes is that they can't be viewed by naturally losing. In a strange twist, you have to forfeit a turn with "Do Nothing". It's an unnecessary step that makes the H-scene enemies pathetic by having them enable a "sexy event" trigger rather than regular defeat.

Art (4/5)

The presentation is unique. I've yet to find a game that has this style specifically. The main character is adorable and she's quite expressive, especially in H-scenes. There's also visual effects during those scenes. Side characters are also interesting in their own rights. The most spectacular aspect is the music. Honestly, it's a fucking bop! The presentation, visually and audibly, is one of the best things about this game. While the gameplay leaves much to be desired, the experience is beautifully crafted to leave you very satisfied.

Story (3.5/5)

The story follows Rikune, a low-level ninja on a mission to get rid of a demon creating suspicious fog around a village. It's very linear with corruption and H-scenes not affecting dialogue (that I've noticed). You're just along for the ride and this one is on rails. The story is interesting enough to stick with it but it's the characters that shine. They are quirky and fascinating all at once. I found one character hard to accept with how over-the-top they were but it didn't distract me too much.

I was initially more interested in the H-scenes as the first one I encountered left me hot under the collar. Yet, the more I played and uncovered the story, the more my attention shifted to the narrative. H-scenes became a secondary objective as I wanted to learn what happens to these characters. There's some shocking moments (beware that this game features "blood effects" and off-screen killing). In final, the story and its cast was good enough to pull me in until the very end.

tl;dr

You might find the gameplay dull but you'd be hard-pressed to dislike the story or characters. The presentation is stellar and the H-scenes are worth the wank.

Undoubtedly one of my favorite h-games on this site now. The gameplay is simple and doesn't get in the way. The story is surprisingly competent, if maybe a tad too long. The art here is also great, love the main girl's design. But what really makes this game fantastic is the writing in the h-scenes. It makes up for quantity with sheer quality, I think one of the scenes is probably the hottest of any game I've played. At this point I just wish there were more, I know I'll be anticipating this dev's future work highly.

Also I want to give huge props to the translator(s), without them this probably wouldn't be worth the time since the h-scenes are so long. Truly, thank you, you knocked it out of the park.

On paper this game is nothing special, the 'combat/gameplay' is extremely basic dungeon crawling system with fairly easy and unsatisfying combat. Nothing to be excited about.

In terms of the H content, it's very sparse, with only 5 CG 'scenes' with minor variants that you progress through. The art is decent, but nothing special.

So why a 4 star rating then? Mostly, as I alluded to, the writing is strong enough here to make you enjoy what little there is presented here. Both in terms of the plot of the game (surprisingly fleshed out for such a simple premise, with a supporting cast), and the eroticism of the corruption scene, where there is a heavy focus on the slow corruption of the heroine.

It's a rare game that focuses on the particular 'kink' or fetish of 'consensual corruption' where the heroines own desires essentially lead to her downfall, but this game does this very well, as well as a much more polished and professional game such as Curse of Kubal.

As such, I enjoyed my time with this game. It's not long to complete and if, like me, you love the 'gradual corruption' kink this is among the best recent outings of the games here on F95. I'd love to see more of this dev's work translated, it's very impressive for such a bare bones outing.

There aren't many scenes, but those that are there all have multiple parts and are (mostly) really good and quite unique/hot. Would recommend if you like the themes; don't bother otherwise cos there's not much game in this game. Play it for the scenes.

Without a doubt, this is the best game in its class and deserves the half day that I spent on it. Despite a certain repetition of actions, each time they are somewhat different, moving the plot forward. It is surprising that the game has storylines, and they are revealed to us as the game progresses, and everything is done so cool that it is not necessary to read the entire text, everything is clear. I got it. You want tentacles, you want hypnosis, you want demons - there's plenty of it.

It's not even fully voiced and i get off of this.

Why is this game good?
Great h-scene, i've only finished two h-monster, but both of them are great, and just so you know Female Edging/Orgasm Denial kind of game is my thing.
Casual Easy gameplay.
Corrupted Strong Heroine.
Good Panting/Moaning Voices.

And Why is it bad?
Very Repetitive sentences, it's like the dev called the sentences of the previously scene sentences, this the exact reason why i only gave it 4 stars.
MTL, it's still passable as Edit MTL, since it's easier to understand.


Keep in mind i only have reached the second dungeon and finished the last h-scene of the second h-monster.

Shinobi Gear makes a valiant effort to use its meager assets into a full experience but in the end it tries to do too much with too little and comes out worse than if it just sucked it up and cut its runtime in half or less. The gameplay is quite good for a porn game, but nowhere near satisfying as a standalone game, which it effectively is because there's just 3 loss rape scenes from designated H enemies that you'll pretty much only get on purpose. Then there are 2 storylines in town which would theoretically be well written if they weren't stretched out an agonizing amount. I'm pretty sure you could spend a half hour in just one of them as it drip feeds you small variations on one base CG.

Overall, there are a lot of flashes of greatness, but they're dragged down by just as many bad decisions and the game ultimately comes together as a much messier package than what it could be. I'll be interested to see what the dev comes up with next, but probably won't have as much patience for it.

I actually really enjoyed this. This was a well spent weekend.

Art wise it was really nice. While it may not be up to standards for some people, to me it had a rather soft and endearing feel to it, cozy even. Clean and expressive. You either like this style or hate it, I like it.

H content wise there's a lot of heavy lifting done by the text, which can be rough for translated games. However it was pretty good overall and the scenes that were drawn were really nice. There's not a lot but what's there is good.

Gameplay wise was surprisingly good. Felt kinda like a mini DnD session in a way with the dice rolls which was not something I was expecting, but I don't mind it either. I have fond memories of playing board games growing up so that was actually a pleasant surprise. Also was not expecting gacha of all things lmao but hey, I wouldn't say it was bad.

For such a sort game, and a h-game at that, surprisingly well developed characters. Not the most developed by any means, but definitely a pleasant surprise given what we're dealing with here.

Overall I definitely enjoyed my time with this game and am Iooking forward to that sequel.

It was long time since some free game on this site I tested could enjoy it. I am not someone looking to hard into graphics. Instead the simple mechanics and story was great to say at least. The smile of a certain character cracked me up and the plot at the end was unexpected in a good way. As someone into h-scenes with hypnosis, I was astonished that the developer made the effort to prolonge the text with details that was exciting to read it.

This game has the longest defeat sex scenes I've ever encountered in a game! There is basically 3 stages to being defeated, and you are given a chance to escape during each one. I saved before each so I could see what the outcomes would be and they are interesting, varied, and hot (if that is your thing). I thought this game had a bit of everything, adequate art, good story, cute heroine, nicely hot scenes (both in and out of battles), easy but enjoyable combat, and I really liked the ending! If corruption of a cute heroine is something you like, you may enjoy this game.

The four stars is purely for the SFW part of the game, if I was to rate it as a porn game it's probably a 2 or 3 star game due to the separation of the porn from the gameplay. That aside it's a nice little game, the turn based combat sytem has been slightly retooled and the dungeon crawling cut down to a pseudo random encounter system based off dice rolls. The story is the real highlight though, fairly by the numbers but well done and has a couple really good twists, bonus props to the translator(s) they did a great job.

It's not without flaws, the stats feel fairly low impact since they only change the modifier, it's pretty short at a little over 2 hours for me and the porn is relegated to a couple of defeat scenes and a few scenes at the hub area. While I'm talking about the porn it's unlikely you'll encounter much during your normal playthrough unless you intentionally lose to monsters a lot, the passive corruption buildup is very slow.

TLDR: Good story, serviceable gameplay, a decent sfw RPG. Porn wise it's probably better to download a save though.
