Oh, the dev posts updates on his paid page and discord without actual content release for any of his games for close to 3 years, the games are totally still a thing and he's very much alive and worth monetization so i can read all his amazing sugoi text and .jpg updates.

Not wanting to give a dev money who hasn't released anything for a long time is very valid, I don't fault anyone on that end. But when I see someone actively posting updates that they are still working on it, then I'm not gonna call it abandoned.

I unironically like this game. I unironically think the dev hasn't abandoned the game. I also unironically think he is lazy, there is no excuse fathomable for the raw amount of time he's taking. Making porn games isn't building the pyramids and yes at this pace we are looking at a 15 year plan. This comes neatly into why i butted in when you /sarcasm on people saying this is a dead game by claiming they need to pay to learn news about the game when the dev doesn't deserve a dime. Think for some people, if not most, it's enough to see this game came out december 2021 and has no (actual/real/felt/downloadable)updates since and say it's dead and they are right in more worlds than you are.
I would like to be optimistic, ideally we would be talking full release for this long. But a handjob? Closing on 3 years? Even the users of this forum have better odds irl.

Na I totally get that, and don't disagree. You can see the updates for free on discord, and the dev has been pretty open on whats he been doing. Including starting from scratch at one point because he was frustrated at his own spaghetti code. Somthin I've done on projects a ton. At a certain point you just have learned a bunch and want to start over so you are not putting patches on top of patches.
But when it comes to giving someone money, I would not financially support anyone who is not consistently putting out actual playable content. Doesnt mean the game is dead.
And before someone points out that its rpgm and he doesnt need to program anything, this dev is making his own plugins from scratch. Somthing that I bet has been hard but fulfilling for a self taught dev.
No shame if you wanna unfollow the thread and forget about it. Or just post "dead game" everyday. But I'm also going to pop in and say "nu uh!" when people do, lol.
