swing and a miss...happens to me all the time on these because about 90% of these kinda games are patreon scamsI think it's funny that I left this thread since version 7 I think, thinking "I will let this game be worked on, so that when I come back I'll have a better game with more content to play", so I stopped today to read the most recent comments and I saw "this game is rubbish and the author abandoned it" and I thought "damn it looks like my idea didn't work"
This guy is why I haven't supported any projects. I've thought about it a couple times but watching this go from a great project to a dumpster fire each far worse than the last two to three times made me consider only purchasing COMPLETED games. Dude literally ruined any interest for me for patreon and the like for anyone.I asked how damage is calculated and got banned for the second time. I can't believe I was giving this guy money. Saria had so much potential but it's like being in a restaurant and the chef bringing out something different than you ordered and paid for and getting pissed when you get upset.
So you're telling me he went from making a game with a fucking hot chick like Saria with a perfect voice actor for it to....what looks like a gay porn game....wtfDude draws women so good, specially when it comes to ripped women. If he was smarter he could have milked some people to get a little from what he lost when he fucked up Saria's game, but he decides to waste it all into a game with a twink male mc.
He could have made the protag be something likeYou must be registered to see the linksbut instead he gave us aYou must be registered to see the linksIt's so fucking over lmao. inb4 ''that's just a preview'' idgaf
More like "bro started another disaster"You must be registered to see the links
bro started another project
Velminth's actions and attitude are unjustifiable. I think he needs to calm down and have a good talk with the community, because if he keeps acting like this, he's only going to hurt himself.I asked how damage is calculated and got banned for the second time. You are right in general, but you can't apply this approach to porn game industry - it's way to small. I have to quote this conversation and this one (dead game not recommended) again, sigh. This guy is why I haven't supported any projects. He did it to himself. Will see if something changes for the better...
Use the version 15 one (before the VN remake) for all of the contents since version 16, aka the VN remake, got rid almost all of themWow, this seems to be as much as a dumpster fire as the FF one. It's too bad, I noticed this game a while ago and was waiting until there were more development until I started looking closer. Is it completely abandoned now? Is it worth giving this version a whirl?
What was the dev's explanation for doing that? It seems like a really bizarre choice to just abandon all those assets.Use the version 15 one (before the VN remake) for all of the contents since version 16, aka the VN remake, got rid almost all of them
Because he can. Legit, that was his excuse for remaking the game into a VN. He didn't bother telling anybody about it, just went ahead with the remake, then just dropped it onto us. Want to know the hilarious part? A lot of us tried it, didn't like it, gave him our opinion (nice and bad way), but did he listen? Noooooo, he just became a little bitch and started whining about all the criticism on his new 'Vision' while banning everybody who criticised him. What was the dev's explanation for doing that? Unfortunately, doesn't surprise me. I've seen other hentai game developers have weird and unproductive power complexes and/or delusions of grandeur before.Because he can. Don't believe me? Just check the previous pages to see for yourself
Great takes. This people are getting way too comfortable with changing the game main points and abandoning it and start a new project. There should be a punishment to do so. Like Patreon charging the scum dev some money if they want to continue posting BS excuse to stop working in the game in patreon.Unfortunately, doesn't surprise me. I mean, if he wasn't receiving monthly funding by patreons under a specific premise, he could do whatever he wanted. He'd probably lose money but that's his problem. My biggest issue is when a developer is receiving money for something and then goes haywire. People are paying money for a specific product, they're not donations.
And right here, you hit the nail on it's head. There seems to be no accountability besides the court of public opinion if a dev decides to change a game partway, not fulfil expectations, etc. And if the developer is dead set on removing/banning comments pointing this out (there are some major examples that come to mind), there is virtually no way to warn new subscribers besides venting on dumpster fires like f95. It's actually a serious problem as it makes way for developers to do whatever they want.Great takes. Yeeeeppp, oh and get ready for few comments coming your way, most likely from "new users" that defend the game dev like they get paid for it lolAnd right here, you hit the nail on it's head.
