May i ask where you got that information from, please. A URL or quote.
Also, most pornographic content should be fine since most other sites like nHentai, Hitomi.la... crawl EX for content, meaning they have anything missing there. The main issue would be artbooks, non-h and some other categories.
EDIT: If you're referring to the quote from Tenboro (the admin) saying there's about 50TB of content that needs uploading, nothing is lost and i very much doubt that EX/E-H was just 50TB worth of content, considering some tankoubons by themselves would reach 3-5GB with 200 pages alone.

with each image having over 40MB. 40X30 = 1200MB just for 1 simple gallery. It's really impossible to estimate and give averages since there's so much variation and we don't know for sure if it's really just 50TB and if those 50TB are just from E-H or EX too etc...It's back! Hurray! But for how long? Why's it back now? I haven't been keeping up with the news on this at all.
I wouldn't say most. A lot, sure, but definitely not most. Even if the other sites had all of the doujins/manga from Exhentai, they don't have game and artist CG and even Western content and Misc categories. Those are very large categories.

Seems like it may be back down again... It was working this morning before I went to bed, but now the pages won't load and attempts to download galleries with an external tool just keep timing out. Not sure if it's for good this time, but will suck if it is, as I still had a ton of stuff I was hoping to archive that doesn't seem to be up on alexandria library or the more popular rehosting sites like nhentai and hitomi.

Up but between one and three hours behind e-h on new uploads at the time of this post. Not sure what the usual cadence is though, I only use e-h to sneak past the panda.
Nothing official. Initial announcement deleted but archived on their wiki, which claims they are no longer under any threat of shutdown right now.
