5 stars because there is actually a hot guy with long hair that rune could date! HE LITERALLY LOOKS LIKE A REVERSE HAREM LOVE INTEREST!!! He is one of the rare handsome looking characters in this type of game and I wish there was a game full of them that we could be with. Like reverse harem hentai game!

Rune is a game so good it was made into few episode hentai series.
Gameplay is alright, story is average (exactly what you could expect from "oh no i have to pay debt" kind of story) Scenes are nice but nothing exceptional.

Hey now, this was pretty fun. Starts out slow, but once you get the mechanics down, craft a few potions, and figure out it's super easy to corrupt our busty short stack without having her become a public cum dump for the town.

Not that this stopped me from having Rune expand her horizons a little, keeping her pure enough but also fall for some trickery and get plowed in the process was all that more satisfying.

Not that you need to go the same route I did, as you have a plethora of sexual options ahead of you. Standard lose battle scenarios, working at the brothel, being caught and punished for public indecency, going into the wrong part of town, or just propositioning random NPCs for sex. Have at it.

The biggest complaint I have is that 89% of the recipes lead to items with no use, NPC never request them, and the game is not hard enough that you'll need them in battle. The game rewards you the best armor pretty early on, super useful accessories to combat status conditions in certain areas you can explore, however the best weapon, the "potato masher" is not found until you beat the main campaign.

There are 3 total endings to get, and not hints as to what they are, but I can more or less guess. Corruption Low, Corruption High, Sexual & Corruption High. I only got 1, and that's fine by me.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm taking Rune back to be a sleeping cum filled doll by a cute futa with a giant cock.

Just played all of this game, Very grindy if you want to do everything but otherwise very fun.

I was spending my money left and right, that was my problem so be careful what you spend.
I had to farm materials the easy way so I don't waste time until I found out I had enough rare items to turn to money and finish.
Its a good game, it's not great but good enough to entertain you for a while.

Its been forever since I played this but its one of the few games which I ever logged as a 10/10 in my games folder. If anyone is just seeing this because of the update give it a shot, one of the best corruption kinda RPGMs on here. If the update content is substantial I will play this game again and update this review to something better, but I played this 5 years ago and don't remember much.

I absolutely love this game, not only the main character is very cute and precious, the details like with all the furniture and stuffs are great! Definitely one of the best rpg maker games for me. It'd be great if we get a sequel or more areas~

Really good game, with Virgin route possible, i love that, when you'r not forced any 10 minutes in a lewd scene but have the choice to keep the character "pure".
The mechanic of Alchemy are good, there is a quest track wich is very cool. The gameplay is kinda basic RPG but the way you can learn some spell are cool. A very goodRPG adult game overall !

losing to enemies just nets generic pixel sex scenes, and as for CGs, there arent that many, and some of them get reused for other scenes
back in 2016 yeah this game might have been great at the time but since then other games have done the same but with better sex and corruption

Quickly became one of my favourite games on this site because of its high quality artwork and game mechanics that were enjoyable.

The story is irrelevant in H-Games 99% of the time. This is no exception. Girl has to make up an obscene amount of money due to reasons and the fastest way to do that is to make an onlyfans be indulge in debauchery. The gameplay, however, was fun. Combat is usual RPGM stuff with some minor changes in character art thrown in and clothing damage. I've always been a fan of crafting and really enjoyed it in this game as well. Loads of items to create and lots of them tied to quests. You stumble across the majority of them in normal exploring but some items did get very grindy to come across. I usually don't comment on BGM because it's a miss in these sorts of games but it was quite nice for Rune's Pharmacy - great ambience. There are a variety of location types and a few different types of enemies to tackle so the world was large enough yet filled enough to matter.

The most important aspect, however, is the H-Content. And I've already mentioned the artwork being top-tier. The MC is cute and the scenes are varied and interesting. It's definitely a cut above the usual drivel that gets served up in these sorts of games.

5/5 would play again.

Excellent game!

Combat is fun, graphics and art is above average and it has good h-scenes and corruption moments.

Overall, it's a really engaging experience and I really hope to see more like it in the future.

Played all the game for 8 hours. Watched all corruption scenes, and it is a very good game. The battles are so so, best way for you to 'win' its to lose, play with low hp and things like that, but can be boring because the turn like RPGmaker. The world is small, few dungeons, but lots to do, corruption route is best route. You can skip a lot scenes by holding ctrl, some games does not let you do that. few secrets to discover, your diary helps a lot to discover them.

TL;DR:
Pros:
1. I haven't given a 5-Star rating before and this is the first.
2. A RPG where you can make all kind of decisions.
3. Quite a number of fetishes covered.
4. Original CGs and unique art style.
5. Semi-Open world (so much potential if the world view is larger)
6. A nice BGM.
7. A true disguise of NSFW game as I can still play it openly in public view as a normal RPG (just kill the monsters fast enough before they suspect anything).

Cons:
1. Too few possible endings.
2. No complete VA.
3. No replay value unless you want to be a nice guy...SAVE THE POOR GIRL via normal mean.
4. Too few CGs...seriously, if you are a very horny teenager//on Viagra, this is not going to satisfy your need.
5. Too few optional quests developing into an ending; at least 2 more branches to make this a much better game.
6. If you are not satisfied with the game yet, you can go watch its Anime//Hentai of 4 episodes (fully voiced), now you can fap more for another hour or so! Why put this in Cons? Some people watch the cool anime and then play the game...let's just say the lack of materials to fap would be a terrible misleading idea the anime//hentai has sent?
6. It's not a VN...(I know, if you guys want to fap easily, they should make it a VN...)


Honest Opinion:
I have to say: I don't give 5-Star easily and I don't give reviews to incompleted games too early (Claire's Quest is one of the few I have reviewed before completion), this is the very first time I give a 5-Star despite all the Cons listed.

RPG is all about role playing as someone else, experiencing their story and enjoying the process. This is one game where the protagonist is fully capable to work legitimately to pay off her debt via alchemy she has been learning since childhood. Yet the (evil?) debt collector suggests she might want to try some other ways...

You have the right to decide how the story goes from the start till the end, this is something we rarely see in the market.

The character design is rather cute than lewd and the art style is similar to that of Magical Girl genre, giving you the false sense that this is something innocent and pure instead of feeling dirty and lewd right away. This gives a warm feeling as we work harder to repay the debt instead of making her selling her body for cash (of course, most of us are here for the lewds, so fade away, white knights of the crude world...).

Apart from all that, you do not need to hard grind for lvls, more or less the monsters are fairly easy to kill (except the bosses). The bosses are fairly easy to beat (also very easily to get Rune defeated; for all your weird fetishes). The amount of effort for clearing this game is definitely not a simple walk in a park, but a long walk on a plain, easy but simply a bit longer and windy than a straight line. Fair enough for a RPG.

Of course, nothing is perfect, if you have glanced through what I had mentioned in the Cons, there are bones to pick. The bit//pixel H-scenes are terrible...the CGs are so much better...why does the developer have to be so lazy and use the pixelated ones?

Too few ending variations is also a buzzkill. You have a great story and so many side quests that can be shaped into different endings (all can lead to how Rune gets enough money to pay off the debt)...as a hindsight, we might also consider the meaningless deviations could make the story delivery worse (as one developer has replied and said).

Finally, if the game itself does not live up to your expectation as I have rated//reviewed, please remember, individual taste varies differently. I hope you might find this game as enjoyable as I am, and remember: YOU CAN PERFECTLY DISGUISE THIS GAME AS A NORMAL ONE AND PLAY IT IN PLAIN SIGHT.

Great game- there were some areas that have could have been polished more and some great ideas that were not followed through on(Marrying the Futa noble as one of the endings would have been a great way to finish that part of the story). Also a shame that the Dev asked the english translations to stop and then never provided an english version.

If you love corruption RPG games like I do, Rune's Pharmacy is in the top tier of games you need to try. This game really shows what RPGM games CAN be if the dev takes the time to make them good. The graphics are stellar, the translation is top notch. The pacing is also great, as you never feel like you are grinding for nothing. Some of the themes can be a bit iffy sometimes, but the game does give you plenty of hints as to what is coming should you want to avoid them. There were a few spots where finding a certain ingredient or finding access to a certain location took a bit of searching, but it wasn't worth not playing the game because of it.

This game really is in the top 5 RPGM games of all time on this site. Again, if you like the themes/tags, check it out.

Good pacing. Wide range of fetish content. Not particularly difficult, but that helps keep things moving along. There aren't really any "dry spells" between H-content and discovered scenes are re-playable. Overall, really solid RPGM, one of the few I was able to finish without frustration and grinding.

Unexpectedly fun gameplay with good art and a decent sense of progression. I do wish there were more scenes and more kinds of jobs that the player character could perform. The writing is genuinely good and you get to care for Rune, which makes some of the scenes kind of hard to watch. Honestly, Rune's Pharmacy is a must-play for just about anyone.
