The concept and gameplay loop are fairly interesting, but are executed in a way that's sort of tedious and underwhelming. The renders are great, but it's 1-2 CG's per scene don't warrant the headache that is getting chased incessantly by one of 3 enemies every time you try to do anything.

The general loop of the game is to scour the forest, looking for items. As you search, there's a random chance for an enemy to start chasing you. The enemy will chase you endlessly for a few screens or until you enter a building/town. The idea is interesting, but more often than not, what ends up happening is you'll hide from an enemy in a house, go one screen away, and get immediately chased. Either that, or you'll be going for an item on a screen that's far away from a hiding space, and any time you get close to that are chased and forced to either abandon the item and come back later, or try to outmaneuver the enemy.

Like I said, in concept, it doesn't sound bad. The other real headache of the game is how slowly Red moves. There's no sprint key, which works towards the game's mechanics, but Red moves at such a moderately slow pace that it's a slog to go anywhere. It doesn't hinder chases though since all enemies are slower than you.

In total, the game is alright. It's a very bare-bones RPGM game with a decent concept, and great renders, but poor execution. If you want to experience the game, my recommendation is either using a save editor to get yourself 10 coins to skip the first major grind, save before entering each screen, or just download a 100% save.
