Want to play the game, but I'm not quite sure how to fix the "no text" thing.

Locale Emulator
It's Japanese-only game, so you have to play in Japan.
But the other way is to change your pc's region to Japan.
You must be registered to see the links
But that would require you to restart your PC everything you change Region back and forth.
So we can use Locale Emulator.

Once installed, might need to restart 1 time, you can
- right click on the .exe >> Locale Emulator >> Run in Japanese
Do this for any Japanese-only Games.
Edit: And you may check Save Library , if you like.

Already did the region change a while ago and it worked for every JP game so far but not this one.
Thats why I asked for an emulator.
With the emulator your suggested the game just works just fine. So, thanks mate and have a nice day.

In the games INI in the main folder where the exe is located under the line library you want to ensure it reads
library =RGSS104E.dll
This fixed the issue for me.

Joiplay tells you how to play it when you try. You have to download and install the rtp is all. Just follow the link provided by the app.

when you unzip the folder use option name encoding japanese, because some tiels are named in kanji and cannot be read otherwise and use applocal that should help
anyone know how to start the peddler party event, I'm at the in at night but can't trigger the scene

After agreeing to dance at the party sleep for two nights and then go the inn at continental road. Doesn't matter if it's night or day. On the upper floor talk to the receptionist who would now bring you behind the counter and then you need to enter the door on the left side. After that you go down a couple of stairs and done. You'll meet the peddler there beginning the event.
