I recently downloaded a renpy game and it wasn't opening, the error message showed the whole file location, so I moved it into my drives root to get an easier screen cap to post. When I went to open it from there though, the game opened fine, I moved it back into it's original location and even just a new folder and while it would open in the new folder, it still failed when put back in the original folder. Does anybody have any ideas as to why this is happening?

I did when it wasn't working at all, but now that it's working in a duct taped sort of way I'm curious about the back end cause.

It took a little experimentation, but I figured it out. When I download a game I put it into a folder that has the games name, and rather than type it I copy the name and prefix from the page title. The title of the game
"53x – Homecoming"
uses a dash, but I don't think it's a standard dash, and when I put the version folder into that folder renpy's .exe couldn't find the folder or the .py file because renpy couldn't read the symbol. I renamed the folder with a normal dash and it works fine now.
