Having this same issue on PC, game won't start and just says "no script specified, check INI.file", tried deleting everything and redownloading/re-extracting but still doesn't work. Did anyone ever figure out a solution?

So only SMT level difficult? Now that i've seen the rating - sounds like a challenge! I did beat Strange Journey after all, it can't be that bad, right?
Update 1: Brock got destroyed with the power of RNG - missed his attack, and i critted with surf. So what you actually have to do to play is to go straight to the next city, not fighting anything, and get the Great Ball. Now save-scum your way into catching yourself a good mon. By defeating the town's Douche you'll get 3 more normal balls. So 4 balls in total. You can get:
1. Tentacool
2. Magikarp(that can use surf)
3. Elekid with lvl 14
4. Rattata
5. Hoothoot
6. Abra
7. Ekans
8. Remoraid
9. Bonsly
With 4 balls you better choose some good ones. After Brock you'll be able to get lvl 14 Eevee in the wild, so you might consider taking less mons.
How do you level up enough to defeat Brock, you ask? By grinding. Not sure if it's an intentional joke about grinding to defeat brockcock, but you have to. His geodude is garbage and can be oneshot with surf, so you might as well just grind on Brock for a while, instead of taking on wild pokemons. You're not gonna defeat that Elekid.
Also, giving us Pichu works surprisingly well for that NTR tag, because it does feel like having a small cock that can't do anything to anyone - shitty all around. I think he also evolves with friendship, and if you think yours is gonna be high after constantly losing... i doubt it.
Update 2: I think i did everything there is to do. Which is not much after Brock. People overreacted, i'd say, though grinding is stupid and i wish i didn't have to do it.
