Look, when my game first came out as the equivalent of v0.1, people were viciously harsh to me. So I felt its fair game, to do it for others. That vicious harshness, got me to change critical aspects and the game is far better because of it. If people hadn't harshly criticised stuff, I probably wouldn't have changed it as I considered other aspects a higher priority.I read that the same as people harshly criticizing other drawings on drawing forums, but never showing their own drawings for some reasons (we all know of course).
Maybe i'm wrong, but i have this bad taste in mouth.
It's obviously your settings that are at fault. You should check your brightness settings. I use 2 screens and put my second one brightness down to avoid having it flashing on my side, but it make dark videos or images harder to see.
As for not giving a link, NO ONE HAS PMed ME ASKING FOR ONE. So clearly, you guys don't want to see my work, so why bother. I have no issue with showing off my work, I just don't want a public link of my game found on a pirate porn forum. My game name is the first link on any google / bing search, so it would show up instantly for those searching for it. I like to keep my porn separate from my regular gaming. Like most developers here do. Like how many of them ever reveal their real name to the world, unless they are making money hand over fist, ie Adeptus Steve.
This is the only game with brightness issues. Even SurrounDead, another UE5 title, isn't as oppressively dark, and its a zombie survival game with a lot of dark conditions. Though, there you often do need a flashlight otherwise zombies sneak up on you all the time.
