    As a product of it's time, this might've been revolutionary. I however didn't play it then. I DID play it recently though, and I can say it just isn't a great erotic game.

    As a sidescroller, it's very short and somewhat unbalanced. It is however a pretty capable implementation, and if it were ballooned into a full game with more engaging/forgiving level design, it could be something special. However what's here serves essentially as a foundation for something that never really was delivered.

    As for the erotic content, what's there is good, but for my money the game isn't going to really give you the chance to take advantage of it. The tense and engaging gameplay means that you're more concerned about that than sex, and wanting to get back to it asap whenever a scene might start. Imagine that feeling of impatience you get when playing a platformer and waiting 15 seconds for it to reload the level that you just died on. Now make that 15 seconds the sex scene. Basically by making the game challenging and inserting sex in the midst of that, you're asking the brain to code switch, and your hands to switch, pretty abruptly.

    Put this all together and I feel like this is ultimately just a tech demo that's as outdated as any other decade old tech demo.

    no explanation needed, this game is the classic H-game.

    The tags, the gameplay and sex scenes are just way beyond my expectations considering how old this game is and how the graphic aren't even that neat. But this is hands down one of the most classic games and if you're fan of H-games, you must play this. It's very challenging as well. Best platforming game of its kind.

    Despite it's popularity, not a big fan. Very little content (3 stages) and the content within the stages is minimal at best. For example, Stage 1 has you running through the same sewer background the entire stage. Combat and gameplay feels very slow and leaves a lot to be desired. Controls aren't the best. Art is great though.

    Great game.
    The gameplay as a 2d sidescroller is simple but efficient.
    There is a lot of different ennemies which trigger various H scenes.
    The pixel art and animation are really great.
    Highly recommended

    4/5 Timeless Classic
    This game is quite old by now, but still holds pretty well!
    Pretty simple, a bit challengind (due to how fragile the mc is) and great H scenes.

    The only thing that doesn't make this a 5/5 is the difficulty and roughness of the gameplay.

    A classic that everybody should play. With one of both hands.

    one the best if not the best sidescroller porn game. The animations are top notch and the gameplay is fun. I heard dev retired, really a pity. I would have loved more content or parasite in city 2. Great Art and animations. 5 stars.

    If you do not rate this game with 5 stars you do not belong on this forum, period. The game is a masterpiece.

    Combat is challenging and makes you conserve ammo and use melee, making for some interesting gameplay. The animations are all moster rape obviously, though you better clear the game first to unlock the gallery, it's worth it.

    Best hentai game ever, very sexy, very simple, hot zombies, hot blondie, has very hot fuck scenes despite being only pixel art and oh boy don't even get me started with the game over scenes, those are the cherry on the cake.

    This review is adressed towards version 1.03, which is the final version posted on this site.

    After playing a WIP game that is pretty much following the path of this game, a side scroller zombie rape game, I got the itch to play the original game which gave birth to this type of side-scroller, Parasite in City.

    And I have to say, even after all of this years, it holds up quite well.. let me tell you why

    .- Art is quite beautiful, animations are pretty good as well. Very nicely done pixel art overall, enemies are nicely done as well. Playable character is quite attractive herself, no complaints whatsoever in this regard, game over CG's are super nice and what's better, they're animated too. It's quite clear how passionate the developer of this game was in regards to this, only complaint.. or, let's just say, downside to this is that the sex scenes tend to be quite short

    .- Sound effects are rather nice as well, the only one I'm not all that fond of is the sort of squishy sound for when she's being fucked, it's a bit off putting.. and in the gallery (or well, rather called, omake.. I never exactly understood why they're separated. Omake is pretty much for the sex animations, while the gallery focuses solely on the game-over CG's) it can get a little glitchy as well which makes it a bit bothersome.. but overall pretty decent SFX, especially the gun ones.

    .- Story is.. a bit lackluster to be honest, you pretty much wake up in your apartment one day only to find that suddenly there's zombies everywhere and you're trying to escape.. the ending was a bit better in terms of lore, but to be honest.. there isn't really much more than that, it is very simple.

    .- Lastly, here comes the part where I had the most trouble.. the balancing of this game. I have quite honestly forgotten how absolutely unforgiving this game can be, especially in the last stage. Stage 2 is the start of the unforgiveness but it's tolerable as you can block enemies with the boxes that are scattered around the map and they can never chase you down until the final part of Stage 2 where a horde of enemies will come after you.. Stage 3, in comparison.. is a fucking nightmare

    Not only do the enemies are able to.. clumsily, yet still capable of, vaulting over the boxes to put pressure over you, but there's also the fact that.. depending on which difficulty (I started on normal myself then had to switch to easy because my god), the enemies will take so many bullets to finally die, to be specific.. six for the female and male zombie, unless you're shooting them with the pistol, in which case it's three (not the fat male one, the lanky one, the fat male one takes even more bullets to kill). Pair this to the fact that, as you progress, these face huggers will make your life a living nightmare.. Yes, you can kill them relatively easy, but when you get to this worm-face type of enemy, which will NON-STOP SPAM the shit out of them while you're trying to advance forward and kill other enemies that are standing on your way.. it gets really annoying and irritating, borderline rage inducing.

    To boot, the female hitbox works a little weirdly and kicks are not the greatest tool against her (when it's more than one).

    The only way to give yourself a little room to breathe and be able to do something in these final stages is if you decide to play it on easy.. or unless you're a hardcore player and you want to torture yourself XD.

    In conclussion, very good game while at the same time being very unforgiving and sometimes confusing, the first stage mostly where it feels like a maze and you don't exactly have a map to somewhat orientate yourself.

    This game is an absolute masterpiece. This is the game that other side-scroller h-games get measured against.

    Fantastic gameplay, quite challenging (on Normal difficulty, I didn't try Easy), phenomenal graphics and h-scenes (considering it's pixel art).

    One of the few games on this site that is fun to play, enjoyable to watch, and is actually a polished and complete product.

    This is a must-play for its genre.

    Still one of the hottest hentai platformers to this day, despite being released in 2013. It's extremely rare to see pixel art this good.

    Yes, the gameplay is janky and basic, but the game makes up for all of that with the animation quality - and that's exactly what people play this game for. Too many devs can't seem to comprehend that with these types of games, the art and animations come first, and everything else comes second.

    Functional but uninspiring. The controls are extremely janky and there's only a few enemy types + scenes in the game. The H scenes we do get are good but there's not enough of them.

    Not great, not terrible.

    Parasite in City is a 2D side scrolling shooter where you play a blond girl trying to escape from a zombie infestation.

    STORY+++
    You try to escape a city full of zombies. There is no real plot or anything but since i like zombie themed games i don't care.

    GAMEPLAY++
    Unfortunately this is where the game falls short. The controls and movement are clunky and the game just feels rough to play. There are many times where i wanted to shoot my gun but instead i used a kick. Jumping is bad and unresponsive. The level design is also bad and repetitive. I do like how the game doesn't give you too much ammo so that kicking zombies can feel useful. There is also a boss at the end of the game which is a joke.

    GRAPHICS++++
    I like the pixel graphics of this game. I think the character designs are all of a high quality. The sex scenes and game over art are also of a high quality.

    SOUNDTRACK++
    The game does not have a real soundtrack. At least the water and gun effects are good. Not much else i can say really.

    EXTRA
    When zombies attack in this game you get stunned. If you get surrounded and also get stunned then it's game over. I hate the jumping parasites since they are hard to hit with the clunky controls. Level 1 is poorly designed, since you can easily get lost. Level 2 is okay if a bit boring, but level 3 is just bad. At some point i couldn't even tell if the game had an ending since it always repeated the same level design.

    REVIEW
    Parasite in city is one of the classic 2D side scrolling shooter adult games. Unfortunately i do think the game is kind of outdated. There is no real plot, the gameplay is clunky and unresponsive, there is no soundtrack and the game just feels badly designed. That being said, i do think the game is okay and worth your time, since you can easily complete it in under 1 hour.

    An inspiration to many side scroller, "horror" H-Games.
    The beginning was nice, but later on, went from easy, to normal, to annoying, not hard.

    Gameplay, 4/5: Pretty Good
    The basic controls are fine, and when it works, it's great. There's not a whole lot of enemy variety, but they're done decently well for the most part. There's only one weapon that you start with, and no armor system or whatever. You have a decent amount of health on Normal, and have decent amounts of ammo. It's a slower, more methodical game. Overall, the base gameplay is great, albeit a bit lackluster.

    But there are a whole lot of annoying parts to it, for example:
    Insects. In the sewers, they crawl on the wall. They can't interact with you, nor you to it. Sometimes, they crawl on the wall until you get close so it INSTANTLY hits you, and you can't do anything other than either, wait at a distance, or just take a hit, because it's intangible. Repeat this several times until you beat stage 1.
    Jumping mechanics. Sometimes it's hard to tell where the ledge is, and jumping to the side doesn't count, you need to jump straight up. You also need a running start to do the long jump. Ledges either feel a bit too long, or a bit too short, and it's annoying. Also, I got stuck in the 1st level, because I found the exit, pushed the box, and jumped over the planks, and then couldn't get out because I didn't think I was supposed to jump into the light, and so I was softlocked. So I had to restart the whole level.
    Enemy amounts. In the beginning, and middle, it's manageable. In the end, the amount of discount facehuggers are annoying. From the hallways, to the facehugger spawners, they just keep coming and constantly fiddle you. They're not even hard, it's just a gank fest.
    TBH I want to rate it lower because of how annoying it became in the end; think of Dark Souls, and all it's own ganks, it's almost like that.

    Again, the core gameplay isn't bad. It's the enemy placement and map design later on that sucks. Too bad!

    Audio, 4/5: Nice
    Not much to say, the character has a few lines, moans, sex effects, etc. There's no music, and you'll be hearing the same few sound effects throughout the game but... It's fine.

    Visuals, 4/5: Good
    The main game is pixel art, and it's done pretty well. The backgrounds are also nice, and work fine with the enemy art style. The CGs are drawn, and look fine. I don't think the CGs are the greatest looking, but definitely not bad. Environments are nice and distinct. Overall, it's pretty nice, but nothing made me amazed, no dynamic lighting effects and stuff, for example.

    Story, Eh/5: Eh
    Eh... I can't really be damned to score it since it's so little. The premise is that you wake up, see people running and screaming and zombies and stuff, escape, shoot a zombie cop with it's own gun, and try to make your escape. The starting area makes no sense with the intro, and the insta-death pitfall is literally the only one in the game, but...
    The ending is ok as well. It's a bit of a cliffhanger, and just basically says you escape but your body has already began changing.

    TL;DR, 4/5: Decent Game.
    It's definitely not the most well polished nor well designed game, however, what it tries to do is pretty good. The controls are great, and balancing in stage 1 and 2 are good. If given more time, refining, and depth, it'd be a great game, but as it is, there's a lot of flaws in it with intangible enemies, and far too many tiny enemies. The art and audio is good, but the story is... just... there. Play it, suffer in stage 3, and then write a good review.

    Flamefiends

    Though this may be a simple sidescrolling shooter, it's one of the best games on the site. The combat works exactly how you would expect it to and the animations are some of the best out there. I'd recommend playing through it to win once, and then go back to get all the death animations once you've unlocked unlimited health/ammo.
    For an added challenge, try getting a fly from the first level into the boss room ;)

    A great game. Very ahead of its time. Combat is intuitive and fairly fluid. Art and animations are great. Voice doesn't have a lot of variation but it's not super annoying like in some games. I would like the spam-to-escape-rape to be a lot shorter. It gets annoying by the time you get to the end of the game. Overall a gem in the pile of trash that is pornographic games. Would recommend.

    Parasite In City remains one of the best hentai games, period - especially in its genre. Controls are good, visuals great, style superb. Easy to see how it spawned so many copycat games (some good, some not).

    Animations are great, but the gameplay/controls is janky as all hell. I don't know what they were thinking when they designed this gameplay: 1/shot per second gunfire that alternates with the melee attack if you press the attack button slightly too fast; enemies that drop in on you with invincibility animations; enemies that have invincible damage animation that drag the fight out completely unnecessarily; repetitive levels that go on for far too long; break-out bars that would give any normal human being carpal tunnel; etc. etc. To be blunt, I'm not sure the devs were thinking anything at all once they'd finished the animations.

    Sandanzuki

    If you like female-on-monster content, this game is a good pick. The gameplay itself is a simple platformer, and can be a bit irritating on the normal difficulty, but since the sex scenes only come in if you get hit, there's fun to be had in losing. A very welcome feature is the omake function available from the main menu, which lets you queue up the scenes of whichever monsters or pairs of monsters you'd like to see again without having to play through the levels they appear in (since save points are few and far between and levels are long).
