This game is extremely confusing. There is a beat meter on the bottom as you fight, but it does not seem to actually do anything (or at least pressing 'select' whenever the red heart crosses a white one does not seem to have any effect), unless I'm missing something?

EDIT: I did some DeepL spelunking of the DLsite comments for this game, and apparently the beat meter in fact does not do anything, it's just there for... flavor? Like, you can jerk off to the beat or the animation's rhythm in literally any porn game, so what is the point?? Why would you make the standout feature of your game that you showcase everywhere have no mechanical significance??? The World wonders.

Yeah I know (now). My point was more that fapping sort of comes as a natural byproduct of playing a porn game. Why make a game that you loudly advertise as a 'beat hero' type affair, add the meter and everything, but then make it literally just not matter at all for the game. It's a profoundly strange design choice.

It has been more than a year and they released a game with reused Sprite and motion...

Guess the old circles are going to eat the dirt sooner or later, which I really hope not.

Overall though, the game and animated CG are good as always. The annoying part is the battle are slower than any previous games...

how the fuck are they meant to know if you're fapping to the beat or not. oh yeah let me just turn on the user's camera and use AI to track their arm movements and determine if they're doing it or not, hum dee dum dee dum. bro what are you expecting them to do

Seems like someone was not there in the early 10s to witness all the "Fap Hero" HMVs craze.
The mechanic's pretty clearly a callback to those videos of old, and a pretty tasteful one. Can't argue that it confused the hell out of me the first couple times it popped up in the game though.

None of that was implied in anything that I said. What I said was that you can fap to the beat of the bgm in any game, so if you are not going to make the rhythm game trappings mechanically relevant, then there is no real point in having them at all. Essentially, imagine advertising some kind of weird experimental Dance Dance Revolution style porn game where you have to out-dance (and then presumably out-fuck?) a bunch of gymnasts or whatever, except then it turns out there is just a scrollbar of ddr arrows on the side of the screen that follow the bgm but don't have anything to do with the gameplay itself (and the gameplay itself is just the same bog standard RPGM grindfest shit that we've seen a million times).

As per what I expected the devs to do? Mostly to not waste a potentially fun concept. A fap hero style game could've been good, if they actually did anything at all with it.
