my previous patch saves dont work.... and it is painfull grind to do this all over again ... anyone got any saves till this patch that work ? if not is there any way you can cheat at least the basic resources so you avoid the majority of the grind ?
If you make a new save you can just use save editor online to change the values and skip the grind.

Okay, just above, I floated my concern about sandboxes
You didn't "float a concern".
you said you hate the entire fundamental gamestyle and wanted dev to remake the entire game.
Sandboxes, especially without directions as to where to go or what to do next, are a thing of the past, old school, so to speak
No, they aren't.
You are comparing the worst of the worst of sandbox to the the best of the best of VN.
Ignoring all the ways in which VNs can catastrophically fail and all the really good sandboxes.

I will grant you that having a good quest log is critical for a sandbox game. Which is why so many sandboxes include such a thing.

Grind is bad (being by definition excessive repetition). but I have seen plenty of VNs that managed to introduce grind too.
Granted it is more common for grinding to be a problem in a sandbox than it is in a VN. But as mentioned, it exists in both

I had here once a discussion about "Developers decide themselves how they write their Versions."

And here again is a prime example why I think that every software should atleast follow "some" rules for a better together.

Version 1.2 ist quite disinforming here and making people do the wrong assumption its a complete game..

Major.Minor.Patch sounds pretty intuitive to me.

If you have been trained to think that 1.0 means that something is complete, I can't do much about it.

in everywhere outside the porn game "dev" community 0.X is only used for highly experimental/early builds and 1.0 is used even for alphas etc.

Most developers use 1.0 as a way to communicate a complete game / complete build or something. Least from I've seen. I personally don't care because the numbers are meaningless to consumers and are meant for the dev pipeline. But it is what it is.
