it's a "good" game. honestly nothing bad about it. does everything perfectly, corruption imo is excellent, because you dont need to lose to get corrupted, and corruption have 10 categories (bodyparts and fetishes) so each is separate and H-scenes in towns unlock based on that corruption level. ofc if you get raped then the corruption level doesnt matter.

so everything is great. art is very nice, she is very cute....

... so why 4/5? well idk, there are lots of sexy scenes but they are not THAT sexy. and since this is a porn forum i feel like fappability deserves higher weight in rating. plus fights are a bit too easy and monotone and a bit grindy. there are many enemy types, but you just 1-2shot everything, if you buy proper skills( you can unlock everything, so not that many skills) you can like 2-3shots bosses too. attack increase magic doesnt take away a turn, and there is both attack magic, and "all magic" which gives all buffs, and they stack. so you will have a VERY high attack dmg after both buffs. magic dmg is almost nonexistent. there is 1skill with 2routes which is the only magic dmg. so it's kind of a useless stat.

but if you get restrained, it's really really easy to escape from it. so you never really feel helpless to orgasm. which imo is a big miss.


i would have given this 4,5/5 if possible, but since it's not, it could easily deserve a 5 because there are no problems with it. some scenes even have small animations. it's just sex scenes are usually not that hot and most of the game is not that interesting, only when you are really at the end.

anyway game is good, you can spend like 10+hours on it. to some scenes you can probably fap too.(i didnt). lots of gropes and sexual harassments and kinda-mind control trope to give motivation for sluttiness and naughty behaviour. interesting desire-logic meter. so it's a very decent game.

Quite the good game, graphics are nice, the game balance is well thought-out, and the adventure, while classic, doesn't feel like a FedEx trainee course, unlike many other games of the type.
A simple caveat would be that the lategame is less immersive than the early and mid-games due to people still reacting in "skimpy clothes" way to a full on naked Rain, but still good.

This game deserves 4/5, but lack of change in the Rain character and sex scenes, ruins its appeal as a "corruption" game.

Rain starts as a "Slightly horny, but keeping appearances", and finishes as "Horny, but shy". By the time you reach endgame, Rain has "done it all", she has an experience of an old porn actress, and yet, her personalty and attitude bareley changed. Almost all the scenes are some variation of rape, molestation or being forced in some manner.

Hour 1 - Rain is raped and loves it, but is shy about it,
Hour 10 - Rain is raped and loves it, but she is less shy about it.
It would be perfectly fine, if it was a short game, but this is a fairly long one.

H-part of the game, feels a bit like reading 400 pages long doujinshi, where changes stop happening at page 100.

Pretty good game, a good TP system that allows you to take fights easily instead of having to take 3-4 turn in order to charge tp or take a potion this game allows you gain tp if you take a enemy from the back and also gain tp every turn if you have the ability.
Has an interesting take of FMC corruption that actually matters in the story.
Good art altough little scenes for my taste.
Overall a good game with an interesting story and a good take in the turn fight system.

Been awhile since I completed a HRPG game. It was good compared to all the trash hrpg's out there. Also the corruption isnt as crazy as oneone1 games (not that it needs to be, cuz the oneone1 games corruption can be very cruel sometimes ), but that makes it enjoyable.

Its netorare, but i enjoyed it because we play from the female pov. I hate netorare games with male protags. Also it didnt feel like netorare...maybe cuz I did'nt like jazz anyway keke.

Although I do feel like the game could have been better. It has so much wasted potential. Like the Peaceful Inn, I've been trying to sleep there since the begining but alas we could not. Or entering the mens bath.

I really wish there was a post game...guess I got spoiled by Ambrosia.

Conclusion:

Anyway good game, nice art, costumes, hot sex, decent corruption, hot protag that i like and is somewhat smart compared to those typical brain dead female protags from other hrpg games, there are jobs and minigames as well. The combat system and skill tree system were nice as well. Battle fuck and clothes break.

Give it a try.

Although standard in gameplay and mechanics, the art is simply gorgeous, and the scenes are varied enough to make this one of the better "RPGM corruption" games, playing the game itself is painless and straight forward, you'll never find yourself lost or wondering on what you have to do next.

The game does have an interesting way of handling the quintessential corruption meter, and although it does play part in unlocking new/lewder scenes, it doesn't really play out in battle fuck, which feels like a slapped on feature because they already went through the effort of drawing Rain in a million different outfits, I feel like if those aspects were expanded upon, this could've been gold.

Another average Japanese RPGM game that provides a lot of good fap material, but, unfortunately, lacks (almost) everything else. Played one game like this - played them all. But if you came here for lewds then you won't be disappointed - it's on S-tier level. Rating - 44/80, or 3/5

Further below is a more thorough review where I check every aspect of the game and rate it. It contains spoilers to the game so make sure to play the game first before reading this.

As a Ero-Rpg fan, i liked this game a lot.
The slow burn corruption is well made and as others RPG game, you'll visit tavern, brothel, inn etc...
There is a sexual exeprience system and you'll get more and more horny stuff as you xp in it.

Battle system is meh, but you can be molested during those.

Overall, i'll not say it is a top tier H-game, but a solid A.

Played on 1.0.8 with the patch.

Another title to throw in the corruption/ntr bin, but my lord is the heroine, Rain, unbelievably beautiful!! As much as I have complaints about the game that I will detail below, just play this game to enjoy the art to the fullest!

---Story & Characters---
The main story is a boring and uninteresting fantasy rpg romp - kick the evil and not-very threatening demon to the curve and be a victim of sexual assault along the way. The demon is transmitting horny waves to the entire city which is distracting everyone enough for them to ignore a giant demon invasion I think? Whatever plan the antagonist was trying to cook doing some dungeon crawling and destroying his magic crystals is enough to thwart everything. Yawn.

While this game is labelled as NTR and corruption, there's very little of either going on here. The heroine's love interest is a million miles away and there is zero build up of him finding out what she's been doing or even feelings of guilt on the heroine's side if she puts herself in certain scenarios that the whole angle might as well not exist. Likewise with the corruption, Rain never goes through a distinct progression of committing to more hardcore actions - it all blends together between shoddy justifications and being helpless against the horny waves and needing something from the other party, usually plot progression. There are no hard story beats of her turning into a cockslut, it's more like she is already one at the start but the game mechanics just put a buffer between the softer and harder stuff.

All this to say that maybe the chat gpt machine translation, although it spits out acceptable and understandable english, fails in the fine details of the text it translated. I won't knock the story too hard because ultimately what I've read has an unknown accuracy to what the author intended. But like I said, the translation is perfectly acceptable to get through the game and enjoy it without hiccups like a line of garbled garble.

One character that stands out though is Buster, an adversary that wants Rain at all costs and also is similar to her lover in appearance to boot. If you want to get the most out of the story, definitely accept his conditions to enjoy the best part of the story. Hell, even if you decline he ends up having some pretty cool dialogue at the end of the game.

To get all the scenes you unfortunately have to grind various sexual actions to max the level of Rain's desire, which is serious tedium. Because seeing the same cgs and animations just destroys the fun and joy of it all, consider a full save. There are points in the story where Rain must choose to give into desire or stick to reason, and the decision is left up to a bouncing meter and both sides constantly vie for room. With high desire, it's mechanically difficult to choose the "reason" and avoid sex scenes which is worth mentioning. Desire slowly builds up every day, so while there is no strict timeline you may want to manage how deep your desire goes.

---Combat---
Nightmare Knight also features bog standard combat - at this point it's not really a rpg hentai game if there is no destructible clothing, defeat scenes, and in-battle molestation. The game handles these all very well: defense lowers when more of Rain's hard-to-hold-onto clothing disappears, which actually makes enemy hits fairly damaging. If Rain gets held down by the monsters and she has no TP to immediately escape, it can lead to consequences down the line. Escaping by itself can be challenging as hitting the timing on the sliding bar is precise. However, there is a hard cap as to what a group of monsters will do to Rain in battle so they lose their luster after a while - there's pretty much no incentive to continue to be molested indefinitely - after 3 or 4 turns you have seen all you can see.

Something I haven't seen before is a two-state climax bar; typically the horny bar hits full and the heroine climaxes, but in this game it takes two of these bars filled to see Rain climax. With this system Rain has a dedicated state where she is more open to harassment, and her defense in battle is lowered. Climaxing in battle puts you out for five whole turns, and filling the second bar from a street molester leads to some funny sequence breaking in terms of corruption. Overall this is a neat idea as it opens up more time to enjoy some more lewd voice acting in battle.

The combat itself is unfortunately very easy. When you see the sparse skill tree and what some of them do it's easy to figure out how to break the game. Buff spells don't even take up a turn so that annoyance is struck out from this game. Equipment options are limited strictly to buffing your initial gear, and small buffs to your stats. Status effects are completely negligible. Bosses all have near-identical patterns and you deal with all of them in the same way.

The dungeons however, are all very well done and are perfectly paced so they don't overstay their welcome. All of them feel fresh and distinct from one another, and flow smoothly to where you'll never feel stuck.

---Audio---
Nothing to write home about but nothing particularly terrible - although there is a random, inconsequential scene which features a track with blasts some crazy hip-hop style ad libs a minute into it. Bizarre.

The voice acting is great, but for some reason it's very down the mix as even on 50% on everything else, and voice at 100%, Rain can sometimes be barely heard. Adjust accordingly to get the best out of the performance. What I appreciate the most out of the voice acting is that it is tastefully sparse - for example if Rain is performing a handjob on someone there is no voice acting to accompany it, and why should there? There is no egregious moaning for the sake of it so if Rain happens to moan or yelp it's actually impactful. So kodus for that!

---Summary---
Like I said, a lot of these things can be forgiven in the face of Rain's neutral, breathtaking, cold stare. Uryama-ya's art is impeccable! Go enjoy it, regardless of the milktoast story and easy combat!

p.s. forgot to put this somewhere it makes more sense, but the fast traveling in this game is S tier and makes getting through the game so much easier - once you have the money definitely buy the items that let you fast travel around

it can get boring for the first few hours if you play this game just to jerk off, you have to play quite a lot to reach the good h-scenes (only affect people who play game purely to jerk off)

Starts out strong, finishes a lil mediocre.

You've seen this story about a dozen times now, strong and respected woman is sent to investigate some town that just so happens to be full of degenerates who will molest and corrupt her. You've also probably seen all the town paths (tavern, massage, public bath, casino, brothel, etc.) play out the same exact way every single time too, so this game isn't really brining anything new to the table in the story department.

Corruption mechanic seems interesting when it's introduced, but is then shockingly also bog standard. You may think these big "desire or reason" choices you're presented with and the attached bar will play a big role in the shenagins you can get up to in town but nah, it still just involves going to the same place a few times and bumping into npcs that will molest you to progress scenes. There is the odd tid bit that the "insertion" desire to view any sex scenes is hard locked behind losing a dungeon fight at least once, so you could argue a lot of the scenes in this game are a "lose to see" scenario.

Combat is pretty standard (there is a little benefit of walking into the back of any enemy sprite will give you a free move) and character leveling is pretty straight forward, and also easily accessible for people trying to avoid corruption (though why you'd be playing a porn game to avoid any and all porn is beyond me). The groping and battlefuck system is more of an annoyance rather than something you seek out, and if you are trying to seek out can be unreliable to seek out as only certain enemies will do it and they won't always opt to do it over standard attacks.

Art is pretty good but you'll also quickly realize there's actually not that much to go around and you'll stumble across repeated cg fairly soon, and the outfits look nice but then you quickly realize they serve no function outside of their designated scenes. It's a little underwhelming that the town substories all seem to end as soon as there's penetration (or sometimes before that), as opposed to what you may have come to expect from games like The Scarlet Swordswoman where there is prolonged corruption.

This isn't a bad game by any means, it's just overshadowed by other games that have the same exact premise and is being a tad bit overrated for some reason

It's a great game, a voiced, slow corruption RPGM game. It gives you the choice on getting molested while maintaining the MC's virginity. H-scenes are really great. Combat is pretty straightforward and easy. There's NPC sex without needing the combat defeat which is good. Kinda feel the slums are underused tho. Rating it this high coz most of the recent RPGM games' quality are way lower than this one.

I don't love it, and I don't hate it.

The biggest problem I have with the game is it's formulaic nature. In a genre this small, there should be more room for innovation and new ideas, but this game trots out the same plot and structure as at least 20 other Heroine-games I could name with a bit of googling. The game presents some very good art, and a high-effort execution on the corruption-system, quests and polish as compared to other tiny Heroine-games, but that's not enough to make this feel that different from the games I've seen and played before. One of the most different aspects of the setup is that the MC isn't a literal virgin at the start of the game but that's... nothing in the grand scheme of things.

So, the game's combat is standard RPGM-stuff with a single character, which is cringe. Combat features restraint-poses, destructible armor and lewd-on-loss scenes which is kinda cringe. What is not cringe is the game's choice-based system for depicting the MC's temptation to engage in sex-scenes, which combined with the system that represents different desires as "locks" that you build your character towards opening. This would be even more interesting if there was more to pursue with these builds than just distinct scripted scenes, but I take what i can get.

As for the story, there is a lot of it, and they don't quite do enough with it. The game has one interesting antagonist that they try to do stuff with, but otherwise the writing is just there to facilitate the scenes and the setup for the gameplay. No real attempts at delivering on anything besides the central NTR-premise, and the general pacing of the story.

There are games that have more interesting combat, sexual themes and scene-structure. There are games that iterate on the Heroine-game formula. This is just another high-effort game within the confines of the genre.

I feel this game is in the upper echelon of 4/5 star games. It is 100% worth playing, just not perfect.

The reason I say it is "upper echelon" is because this game has every single thing you would want/expect in a modern RPGM game (at least at a base level): animated scenes, still-frame scenes, minimal "sex-text," armor breaking in combat, combat scenes without requiring loss, combat scenes upon a loss, street prostitution, corruption meters, sex/purity (desire/reason) mechanic that is executed well enough, large variety of in-town h-locations (~21, some are used once while other are used multiple times), 15 different outfits (2 are event exclusives, 2 are ending exclusives) - some of which have damage variants, large variety of fetishes and sexual positions, night/day cycle, free-roam with purpose, Phils the Nun (a side character) has 3 h-scenes, there are four unique and fairly fun minigames (for the casino, brothel, maid service, and high-class bar), there are 66 unlockable scenes in the gallery (the vast majority of which are unique) and a handful of overworld events, four different endings, the art is amazing, the characters have realistic proportions, the hentai is incredibly hot, the MTL is done so well you will not even notice that it is MTL, slow corruption and reasonable escalation of sexual activity, a fantastic recollection room, the story isn't complete dogshit, the scenes are easy to find (you should not need a guide for this game), and more.

Yes, a lot of the things are not unique (such as the story being incredibly basic); but it has so much variety shoved into it that you have to give respect where respect is due. Even the less appealing content is still enjoyable and, to highlight something, the mini-games are genuinely great as they mix porn in with the game and/or are outright fun. However, the game is "wide," not "tall." There is variety, but said variety tends to be "one and done..."

The game is not without faults:

• All of the outfit-specific scenes leave a lot to be desired. Some are just reused overworld-prostitution animations with unique text. The lewd armor is just a fairly non-sexual pose. The maid outfit scene is quite nice, but the storyline itself feels like it would have more progression (it only has one scene).
• As with almost every RPGM h-game, the combat is unbalanced. If you improve the two base stats (ATK/DEF) then you will coast through the entire game. If you do not, you will struggle. Honestly, the combat and "outside exploration" should've been removed entirely and replaced with the mini-games found at the brothel, casino, high-class club, and mansion.
• There are quite a few unused locations or extremely underused locations that are prime h-scene areas. You see them and would fully expect a h-scene later on, but the area ultimately goes unused. Chekhov's gun needs to be considered... but with respect to hentai.
• Meryl the Witch does not have any h-scenes. The game leads you into thinking she'll have a scene, yet none occurs despite her being, by-far, the most reasonable character in the game, Rain included, to have one. You can't put in a fully designed hot chick into an h-game and not give her a scene. You'll understand when you play it. To me, this omission is genuinely the only terrible part of this game. It is a main factor behind me not even considering this to be a 5/5.
• No h-scene with the NTR'd guy. I'll repeat this until the end of time: if a NTR game features a "pure," non-NTR ending, then it should have at least one h-scene with the NTR'd guy. This game comes close, but doesn't actually show her getting railed.
• This will be controversial as this is a NTR game and the NTR community is usually incredibly bitchy about criticism, but hear me out: the NTR main-story aspect of this game and the free-roam corruption aspect do not go together. You can have Rain fuck every guy in town, yet still be hesitant to fuck Buster (main-story NTR guy). Then, once she fucks him, she will be remorseful and regret her actions, even though she is the town bike. This line of thinking stands outside of reason. In order to fix this, the game either needs free-roam to be more gated then it already is (in which case, why bother having free-roam) or remove the NTR main-story aspect and make the game purely a corruption game. You can CoNtRoL tHe BuTtOnS yOu PrEsS and have Rain not fuck other men until the appropriate actions with Buster have been taken (that's what I did), but that doesn't fix the game fundamentally. Hell, you can go full slut mode and still get the true/pure ending. That tells you all you really need to know about the conflicting aspects in this game.
• Some of the stories and events feel like they begin to build into something, but then suddenly stop or don't reach an appropriate peak. The maid side-story and everything with Meryl are the greatest offenders with regard to this issue.

Even with the issues, they're not detrimental (except the Meryl ones, those are genuinely disappointing, and the fact that you can get the true/pure ending even though you whored yourself around town). They have the right idea, they just need to take it one step further. It would be unreasonable for me to give this game less than a 4/5, but impossible to give this a genuine 5/5 as it builds the rocket, trains the crew, launches successfully, but misses the moon.

Nightmare Knight has a decent RPG base. You beat bunch of mobs and some bosses, collect crap on the way and slowly upgrade your sword and armor. By beating enemies you collect both experience to level up and some extra points to upgrade your skills, magic, and base stats. You can easily get overleveled if you want to.
The story is super boring. Demon causes mischief, you try to stop demon. The ending dictates if you succeed or fail.
The general art is good. There is a tiny bit of 'animation' (more like sliding pictures). The porn is...fine I guess. While there are some hot scenes the fetishes are quite common for RPG porn games: brothel, dildo, rape, that kind of thing. After beating the game once I felt no need to play any more of it for the porn. Which is a shame since the general gameplay isn't bad. I guess it would be better if they incorporated the porn more into the gameplay that you spend most of your time on, and if the sex scenes were more interesting and less generic.

The benchmark for H-Games being considered "excellent" is a fairly low one. Most games out there are complete trash which not only fail to put out decent content, but are travesties of games rather than games themselves. In this sea of shit, Nightmare Knight comfortably stands out as one of the highlights in the corruption genre. If you've played Shimobashira games like Celesphonia and Ambrosia before, this will feel fairly similar. However, there are some additions that make this better, and some that make it worse. Overall though, for a fan of the corruption genre, this is well worth a play. What the game has - battle-fuck, night and day system, fair few scenes in the town itself, some minor NTR, clothing damage, cosplay i.e. the usual trappings.

The story in H-Games, as I keep on repeating, is usually bullshit. All you just want is that it frames the content reasonably, as in gives a reason for it. This is especially important in corruption games as you want a reason to go out and slut out the heroine. Nightmare Knight does this fairly well. Lust curse, losing reason, blah blah blah. It's understandable why she gives in.

The gameplay aspect is where there are serious missteps. One - combat is ridiculously easy for all battles. You probably don't even need to level up so the battle-fuck is severely underutilized. You can annihilate most bosses in 4-5 turns as well, often without even giving them a chance to attack. The battle system isn't interesting or new. Whereas better games add variety by at least including enemy resistances and strengths and a wide variety of spells to satisfy your fancy, there's none of that here. But it's passable. The other misstep is that corruption requires some sort of coercion. Some need to earn money, garner resources. There's none of that here. You will have so much money you'd practically be drowning in it. It's also unfortunate that you get free housing so can't even think "Oh, need money for the inn and I don't have money so need to sleep in the seedy inn the slums". So yeah, could be better there. The third misstep is that desire is way too easy to keep in check. You will almost never have an occasion where your meter is filled if you haven't gone out and deliberately lost every battle and picked all the wrong choices. (which is dumb, in my opinion, you should never reward playing poorly. I came here for the game, not just the content). This is a problem because in the final battle, you have to choose Desire to get a certain end and I had none. HA. Which ironically meant I got a bad end. And the last misstep, which is also a bit criminal, is that a lot of content is stuck behind story progression. You can't access the casino until you unlock the last dungeon. This means for a lot of the time, you have nothing to do apart from progressing the story. Which means fewer chances for corruption. Which means less fun for me. There also isn't a lot of content in the city (the beach also is horribly underutilized). Lastly, going full Lust Mode or Climax Mode has little to no benefits or detriments. I can still steamroll most enemies, reactions of people don't differ. You can play the game as is. Which is again, a horrible underutilization of such an interesting concept.

There are still things which are done well. For one, I love the idea of the Desire bar and having a QTE at key intervals to choose Desire vs Reason. It could have been used more but as is, it's still pretty good. The art is also stupendous. Censored and all that, but it's what we've come to expect. There's also a fair bit of CGs, even if the scenarios aren't novel. I like cosplay even if it isn't used all that much in the game itself.

I know the review sounds more like negatives and barely any positives. But there isn't exactly groundbreaking work in H-Game genre. This game satisfies the bare minimum (decent combat and great CGs). While it also has some novel ideas like the QTE traps and Desire vs Reason bar. So it does everything you want an H-Game to do well. My complaints revolve around what could have made it even better. Nonetheless, well worth the 4-8 hours you'll spend.

I rarely leave reviews so this should tell you a lot about the game.

There's a mechanic where you pick "Desire" or "Reason" at select points in the story. "Desire" shows an H-scene, "Reason" gives a logical bypass. The game ignores your choices in the grand scheme of things as the story has a rigidity to it. There's an exception to that and it's the endings. There appears to be 4 endings based on your "Desire"/"Reason" range.

The story itself is great! I enjoyed playing as Rain, the main character, and I'm a sucker for dungeon crawling. Picking up materials. Looting chests. Killing enemies. It's a fun gameplay loop if you're into that stuff. The downfall of the game and why I gave it 4 stars is the constant "wow, what a missed opportunity" rearing its head at every turn.

Enemies: some enemies just want to kill you. For context, the whole area is pitched into a magical lust "cloud", so to speak. You'd think enemies would want to bang Rain yet only some do.

Economy: you get so much gold and items by dungeon crawling that you have little reason to buy anything or work lewd jobs. Imagine my surprise when the final fight is hard as fuck and buying expensive shit is nearly a requirement.

H-scenes: they're fucking hot. A great variety of kinks ensures there's something here for you. The problem is that some "story arcs" of H-scenes don't seem complete. It's a shame since the H-scenes are crazy good as is the art.

I never play machine translated games since dialogue is important for me. It's very passable here so don't let that stop you! The typical Japanese sex writing is still present so cringe-y dialogue cannot be avoided. The NTR is also a non-issue if you dislike NTR. Only one scene is focused on it and it sucks for the guy. Other than that, it's somewhat on the side.

I really hope the devs keep updating the game. There's a few things I mentioned that keep this from being a god-tier RPGM game.

Game is good but not remarkable because of the generic RPGM gameplay. However, slow corruption theme is well done, with great scenes and art, lot of costumes, pacing is quite good and a few quality of life features like telling you where to go/what to do is always helpfull so you don't wander around for hours.

tl;dr: definitely play it.

Its an excelent rpg, it may not be the best at anything, but is solid at everything, good art, good combat, good gameplay, just what you need to enjoy a h rpg.
the scenes arent vanilla or super hardcore,there is some implied ntr but it doesnt have much impact on the game.
