Unity - Completed - Night Of Revenge [v1.0.7] [D-Lis]

Great game but get the NoREro Mod! That mod makes this the best game I have found on this site, bar none! Very fun play with some nice weapons and amazing animations. Seriously, you will want to lose.

While the game is good, the Mod makes it much better. Actual struggle mechanics and grapples, and the difficulty or mechanics are easily customizable.

Mechanics 4/5 as magic doesn't really scale.
Enemies 5/5 because there is a lot and they are unique. My only grip is the bandits are so good but only in one short level.
Combat 5/5 --> its just good. Satisfying parrys, perfect blocks, slow mo dodges and a variety of weapons with upgrades that extend the combo string.

This game is awesome, and the mod makes it much better than it already is.

Edit: I can say, in my opinion, this with the mod is the greatest Hgame I have found on this site.

This game really did live up to the hype. It probably has the best gameplay I've ever seen in an h-game.
It's abundantly clear how much effort went into every facet of this game and how much is still going in. Since even after however many years, this game isn't done yet. New updates are still adding in new enemies and zones. Every enemy has at least 5 different animations. Idle, walk, attack 1, attack 2 and sex. Many enemies have a lot more. So the fact that this game has so many enemies (I couldn't encounter them all despite going through every zone I could find in a full playthrough) and new ones being added so frequently shows just how obsessed with quality the developers are. And that obsessive drive is why I had to give it 5 stars.

But I do have my criticisms. Some of these are based on my own personal taste and some of them are what I believe to be design flaws.
I knew going into this that the majority of enemies would be humans just from the screenshots and I was completely right. Besides tentacles and other creepers, I found about 3 enemies that were large male humanoid monsters. At least those 3 enemies had great sex scenes. This is purely a matter of personal taste though since those are the kinds of monsters I like. Which is why I'd love for more of those types of monsters to be added eventually.
Second is the fact that despite having the pregnancy tag, this game only has 1 pregnancy scene and that's with a slime. No other monster or human can impregnate the mc afaik. Which I'm not blaming the devs for since I know how much work it would take to implement more pregnancies for different monster types and they've chosen to spend resources on creating more monsters and levels instead. That's fine. Though I do hope they'll add more monster pregnancies eventually since it really feels like something the game is missing.
And on to the design flaws, there are some "events" in the game that if you click them, just lead to a long drawn out game over. You're not told that that's what'll happen. It's not really indicated in any meaningful way. A long scene just starts playing in which your character is subjected to various unsavory things and then the game just returns you to the latest checkpoint. Now these sorts of events make sense based on the theme and setting of this game but I really wish there were more indicators for what will happen if you activate these events so players who don't want to see this sort of thing would have an option to avoid it. Because currently the only thing you can do if you run into an event like this is alt+f4 and reload a save.
While you do have quite a bit of build diversity in this game between the myriad of diverse weapons and spells and different stat allocation options, the builds aren't particularly well balanced against each other. Magic in particular feels pretty weak. The spells don't do that much damage and the only way to recover mana is through limited potions of through sacrificing health. And health doesn't regenerate either so that option basically just converts health potions into mana potions at greater efficiency. It's also not that great against most bosses since spells have such long charge times and a lot of bosses later in the game can just use their i-frames to dodge your spells. The poor balance makes the build diversity in practice feel worse than it is.

That's it for the criticisms but one final note for anyone who read this far, this game is very dark and sadistic. It's basically the hentai equivalent of grimdark. Keep that in mind if you wish to play it.

Night of Revenge is a very ambitious dark souls-like game with some h elements in it that you will find by losing fights and therefore losing progress (bad idea as per usual). The game consists of a 2D side scroller with one attack type, magic attacks, dodges, blocks, and a good amount of weapons to use. The story is very objective and just background noise, witches, demons, church, the usual. Aradia the female protag can level up using souls dropped from enemies, augmenting her Strength, magic, health etc, one point at a time. I was shocked at how buggy and clunky this quasi-famous hgame is. In the 1.07 version I simply could not believe how bad simple things like navigating the menus are. There is no consistency on the button to exit menus and instead of Esc sometimes you use space. The combat is not great, just spamming one attack and slightly dodging sometimes, and for some reason you have to stop moving to be able to shoot, interfering with the flow of the fight. 2D games require decent air control, since you are constantly jumping and platforming. Here you have a nice air control of your jumps, but most intriguing is that your movement stops if you attack on air. In a janky indie game like this, not being able to save freely, forcing the bonfire checkpoint, is catastrophical. Multiple times the game simply bugged and no key worked, forcing me to quit and losing important progress. I could not stress this enough, never limit the saves of your game, always let the player save whenever. If your game is not a multimillion dollar project with plenty of quality testing, don't do it. The art is very good, the girls and their models look amazing. Unfortunately the animation is terrible and stiff, making each scene weird looking. The better would be just static images if your animation is this bad. This game looks more like a waste of great potential. It requires a significant amount of polishing for it to be good.

Note: ignore the complaints about translation issues, you can still play using the edited translation patch that isn't MTL. If you don't know how follow Arcadia's fix at 319 page

Characters, theme, world building, and the ENDING. All are awesome. A review won't do it justice, I've played almost every dark themed story focused H games in this site and this one takes one of the top spots.

Gameplay: 6/5
Best H game for me. Controls are easy to learn, hard to master. Multiple weapons to find your forte and game style. BGM and SFX are crisp and well made. Dev truly knows how to make your ears feel good.

Art & H Aspects: 5/5
-Really good. Voice acting are nice, some may complaint it's the same voice but too much is bad as well. This has enough voice to make every scene fresh and the voice actually reflects what's happening unlike other games whilst having the quality of the voice really PLEASING to hear.
-Gallery easily unlocked just by killing your enemy, no need to intentionally lose
- Animations are well made and smooth transitioning loops to ALL animations.

Conclusion: 6/5
The Greatest and undisputed grimdark H game out there so far in this site. It nails every aspect and more. Will recommend and support the dev for sure.

Overall if you like darker themed games, and you are a dark souls veteran this games for you.
I would rate this 5 stars if the translator wasn't very buggy, if you can stick muddling through Japanese like me its actually decently fun with some good animations.

Game is pretty good but not perfect. The game is heavily inspired by the souls genre (specifically bloodborne) and even calls itself a soulslike game on its dlsite description. There are some jank here and there, but this game was made by 1 person (probably according to some comments) which is the main reason the game took too long to finish/release. Currently the game is FINISHED/feature complete but some bugs here and there (very minor and not gamebreaking, one example is one beastiary/enemy list won't fill up even though you engaged/encountered with that enemy [the one below librarian and above the wooden horse]) The game is on the easier side with the enemy moves being easily predictable so you can dodge/block/parry easily. I completed the game on Hard mode (2nd to the hardest difficulty) and I only struggled against 2 bosses; the Final boss I struggled for a little bit and the succubus boss (that boss is fcking BS but doable/hardest boss in the game). My build is pure STR build (even though dex/agi weapons are better in this game.

Art is pretty good, and the H tags/ kinks are pretty much to my liking (not too hardcore/softcore). The translation is also alright (probably made by a fan, no way that translation is machine translated, probably edited). Combat is quite satisfying but certainly can be improved/better (so keep your expectations in check, it's very much serviceable but not top tier, this game is an indie H game so the quality may reflect that. Don't compare it to AAA games or dedicated indie games, since H games also has to focus on the H aspect and not purely gameplay aspect). I finished the game in 12 Hours and 16 minutes (exploring, looting, reading, fighting everything) on a Virgin playthrough (so that is possible but no story changes/gameplay effects).

TLDR: GOOD GAME TRY IT IF YOU LIKE SOULS GENRE/Dark theme games.

Just a run-of-the-mill Metroidvania RPG with ugly and boring levels that look extremely similar. Gameplay-wise it's almost an exact copy of the game "Salt and Sanctuary".. It also shamelessly steals enemies, bosses and even boss names (e.g. Cleric Beast) from the FromSoftware games such as Bloodborne and doesn't even make up for it with its boring and rushed story.

It's a good thing that this game ends as quickly as it begins [It took me only 6 hours to finish the story, even though I spent a lot of time trying to see every hentai animation] because it's not even remotely fun as it keeps reminding you of games that are way better than itself such as Metroid, Castlevania or Bloodborne just to name a few and the whole time you keep on wishing to play one of those instead and begin to wonder why you even bothered downloading this Crapware game with bad controls and spending time on it.

My reason for that was of course adult content which is the only thing that makes this game somewhat unique. There is a unique hentai animation for practically every enemy in the game that feature a great variety of kinks such as Mind control and even Gore etc. and also a few traps with h animations. For those who can get off on simple animations of poorly drawn 2D anime girls getting railed as I could when I was in middleschool , that's perfect. For everyone else with higher standards, there are like 10 game-over animations in which there is actually dialogue ! Yes , the main character can actually speak and react to getting violated etc. instead of just moaning the same 4 moan audio files randomly like some kind of sex robot. It's a shame, cause a few of these game over animations and their art style are actually quite decent. If only the machine translation wasn't so ridiculously bad and the main character so soulless, it could've actually managed to give me a boner, but all in all , playing through this game was a waste of time.

TL;DR: boring, unimaginative game, mediocre hentai content

Scenes themself are pretty good, but the translation is terrible and the game is super buggy. Unless im missing something, i couldnt close the menu and i had to restart the game to play again. Very poorly optimised. 5.5/10

the combat is not too difficult but still enjoyable
the story is straight forward, only 1 or 2 scene with much text so if any like me that always "shut up let me get the action" will enjoying it
the H-scene is just marvelous so much that its pity some notable character like candore or suzune only got 1 scene
the content on this game before playing seems so much at first but after playing n finish it i feels this game can be developed more
the va n sound effect is very good

Marvellous game, contains all types of sex , good playing and the girl is pretty, would be desirable to have more girls and costumes to play and give diversity to our character, games like this are excellent to have fun

It's surprisingly good.

H games usually lack good gameplay, but I found myself really enjoying this one. It's just fun, and the levels have a lot of verticality to them and different ways to go. The boss fights are interesting and unique, and the game offers several different ways to play, with different types of weapons and magic.

The sexual content was surprisingly hot, I don't consider myself to be all aboard the "completely defile women with no regard for their feelings, health, or sanity" train but this game is just hot. It's also got a decent bit of gore and a couple of weird creatures for you fucked up freaks out there.

Oh, the MTL sucks though.

Loved the game, had lots of fun with it.
The auto translation was mediocre. And I had to rebind the keys, the default settings were too confusing for me.

I wouldn't say it's the best unity game, BUT it's the top 1 unity platformer game. The most important thing in such games is the mechanics of combat itself. Here it is presented as it should be in such games. The game is played in an hour. But you will always remember and compare it with other platformer games. The animations themselves, the scenes look good. Not surprisingly, after 2 years, the game has 5 stars on this site.

This is a very enjoyable platform slasher, with tight controls, a huge map, and an astonishingly diverse set of horny rapist monsters out to get you. The player and monster models are top notch, well-animated, and the environments are varied enough to keep things interesting.

The sex scenes are also really well done and can be quite twisted: Mind control demons, mechanicals, tentacles, getting throat-fucked by gigantic devil-dongs, there's truly something for everybody.

Stats are included for rapes, semen, climaxes, etc. which adds a bit of texture to the gameplay. The Succubus may hold the record for delivering the most orgasms in a rape cycle (she's cheating IMO), but I have to say the Mimic looks like a pretty decent lay. Very attentive.

On the downside, the interface can be very buggy and the game's a bit too easy once you get the hang of it. There are also a few not-quite-there features, like the Punishment Room, Costumes, and an inventory menu that doesn't generate 10 forum posts a day for being so damn broken.

Side note: Works great on Steam Deck/Linux with compatibility layer.

This is a well made game that I can dump time into. I love the way physics are enabled on the tits, and I found fetishes I would've never dreamed of having. Lots of creative ways the player can get violated. Maybe a few more gore scenes?

Very boring hack and slash game.

The Story - Uninspired and boring, I played another one of these with a similar game play and I was hoping this would be a better story, but it was not. What's funny is is says this game is also inspired by metrodvania. So it's completely unoriginal. You mission is to save a girl being tortured by a monster. That's pretty bland.

Visuals - Standard anime, not really enhanced the way you see in HS games.

Gameplay - Clunky, and not very fluid.

Sex - Nothing that got me excited.

I've been an avid fan of RPG porn games for quite some time now. and I can easily say that Night of Revenge is one of the best souls-like porn games there is.

It took me 7 hours to beat the game, on normal difficulty, and I've only died 3 times.
so there's no real worry about getting stuck on one boss.

I'd highly suggest this game for people that aren't worried about story content, but once it gets translated properly it'll be a really good read too.

Salt & Sanctuary with a hentai Bloodborne aesthetic. Nice.

The gameplay is very good. Character movement is mostly smooth, although some early parts of the game have weird environmental designs that you can get stuck on, both figuratively and literally. Combat is tight -- this developer made sure that players have to learn enemy attacks and fight appropriately, which is the bread and butter of the souls-like series. There's plenty of weapons, plenty of movesets, and plenty of memorable bosses.

The game's art and animation are absolutely stellar by porn game standards. While there is a sort of "paper puppet" feel to it all, I will say that this is the best animated tweening I've seen in a while. Boob fans will love it. On a separate note, the voice acting can sometimes remind me of OneOne1 by being a bit annoying, but I'd be lying if I said that it doesn't add character and enjoyment to each defeat scenario.

WARNING: Gore. Some enemies will murder the player's character rather than rape her. It's pretty gruesome. You can turn off those animations in the options menu, but they'll still be playable in the gallery. Avoid the animations with bloodstains on their button.

Lastly, there is a plot... as in, hey, it's there. I can't go into detail without spoiling it, but I feel like it was rushed in to justify the aesthetic and various scenes. No skin off my dick.

Despite its minor flaws, this is one of the best porn games on this site. If you enjoy corruption, game over rape, or souls-like games, then definitely give this a shot.

TL;DR: One of the best H-Games now that it's fully out and receiving mod support

I firmly believe that the best H-games are ones that aren't entirely focused on the porn aspects, NoR delivers on gameplay, music, atmosphere, plot, and character, and that easily makes it one of my favourite games.

Gameplay is simple but engaging, with dodging and parrying both being viable options to combat, this allows different playstyles though I will say that weapon balancing is definitely one of the worst things in this game, some weapons feel utterly useless while others are simply superior.

Music is quite nice, the menu music is definitely a banger and a half, props to whoever composed it.

Atmosphere, plot, and characters...That's where this game shines, in my opinion. There are many points where I wanted to end my 0-Assault (Virgin) run and just go for the porn, but it's almost as if the game often tries to prevent me by showing me the MC's tragic past and noble goals. Hell, the ending made me not want to see any of the porn contents.

...But I'm a terrible person, and I went for it anyway. The porn content is top tier, with plenty of creatures and poses, as well as very creative game overs and events that end up making way more sense when you beat the game and see the ending.

Overall, 10/10 would have a guilty boner again.
