The dev essentially mentioned 3 possible outcomes on the future of the game which was:
1- check the fair use with the transformative work, and check if I can comply with the rules. If I need to change something, like certain characters, names, even music if necessary, I will. I don't mind working even more for this change.
2- Let it 'just my game'. A game 'inside the house'. This is not illegal as its a creation (just like our dreams). A game that could have 500 scenes and 100 levels, tons of fetishes, but a 'closed game' for friends.
3- Just 'abandon' the game. Although no official links, we know the game could be found elsewhere (because there are people that keeps copies of it). They could even update it slowly, like putting new levels and fixing bugs. I can't control that (and I am not responsible for that). But I wont' be giving links anymore.

V3.49 is the last update, but 3.48 is the public version.

No one can. It's not just a case of the creator getting tired of it. Nintendo issued a C&D, effectively saying "stop making it or we'll sue you to get you to stop." If someone tries to pick it up they'll just get another C&D.

You can't. This oprion only has effect on CGs after defeating boss in each world. Ivan wanted to implement futa gameplay functions in future versions but Nintendos copyright claim happened.

And by the way, the game is not dead (yet), they trying to do what they can do to the game not be shut down. Else is not use of any artworks, only the similarity to Super Mario, that not means nothing... Is like a "Fanart" or something... So, that rule not apply right to that...
We all hope the best for the dev. Let's hope this game will continue too.

Don't think someone mentioned this but 1 and A or 1 and D pressed at the same time in cheat mode switches the outfit to the next one in order.
Edit: I just realized it depends on your keyboard layout, so it's either hold 1 and press your walk right or left key to change the outfit
