I cannot confirm this. For me (valve index) everything worked fine out of the box. It is possible that your problem does not lie within the game.
However not having snap-to-move (teleportation) was making me a little motion sick after some time.
So, for prospective players who, as I do, have a weak stomach for motion sickness: The game supports snap-turn and smooth turn but not teleportation.

i get the game on steam at release really good and i grind the complete coins to unlock all things hahaha now there is a mod play the game if you like casino and sex with toys and boys and girls 
But you get more money. It doesn't seem like a reasonable compromise to just lose money.
My point is that even if it takes a week of work to implement the most basic compatibility, and you spend the entire week just working on that. If it increases the sales even just by 10%, very conservative estimate by the way, for a game that takes 3 months to make, you are still making a profit off that.
Adding one week to a twelve weeks cycle is an 8.3% increase in work load.
Considering how niche the vr market is, I wouldn't be surprised if the sales actually tripled, or more.
I'm not arguing that it would be easy to do, I just don't understand why people don't like money.

That's what I figured, too bad, I feel like no ones really hit the nail yet for a POV VR game like this. Closest I've seen has to be VR Hot but that's still pretty rough to deal with and very unsatisfying.

Well, then I really don't know how to explain it to you. Some people care far more about the process, the creation, breathing life into their ideas than any monetary compensation. Sure, if it brings some money, good, but they would create the same stuff even if not paid a single penny. Especially if you do it in your free time, as a break from you day job, not getting paid may be half the incentive to even do it in the first place.

I am usually the same way, however there is no preview for the characters and no refunds for them either. I found the actual models to differentiate from their respective display card. Sooo, I can play darts for a hot new york minute or…
very, very enjoyable game, payoff, and gameplay is addictive. cool graphics and physics, respect to the developer
there are a billion non-vr games. find one ...sheesh @ the folks who come in topics that say VR to complain

People want what they cant have its quite simple realy its normal they would be attracted to a game they cant play..the suspense and the unknown makes them wynt to have it even more simple human psyche
