Don't know which event that Tsuneyo sentence comes from but if it's anywhere close to a Kaori related event, or even if not but more likely, that might be a literal hint about Kaori and that she might be posessed by a Sekai, because of a transplant.
It's from Gallow's Edge, which is the event that follows Lavender's Green. But I mean, could be, who knows.

Speaking of Kirin and Lavender's Green, she's likely still convinced that Sensei raped Molly back then:

And Kirin wants to go down on a white girl:

So, I wonder how future Kirin and Molly events are going to be, after the recent Molly events and Meet & Fuck. Haruka may not have worked out, but a Kirin Molly Threesome(?) has been foreshadowed for quite awhile.

Molly has a lot of self-esteem issues, so I guess it could go either way. Maybe she embraces perversion only in the safety of Akira's solo embrace or go full pervert.

I'd also like to use this opportunity to talk a bit about Molly (that I forgot to mention on my post on Lavender's Green).

My point is, of all the characters, Molly is probably one of the few that would be able to accept, understand and move over from what Akira did, even if it was worse than it was. So, yeah, Akira probably overcomplicated something that could have been resolved very easily.

So after a 2 year+ break where I thought the game was just nuked from orbit, I finally caught up last night. I have my own theories, but would love to see what smarter people have put together that I have not. Is there some Matt Patt level breakdown of the lore so far somewhere or large info dumps from random users I should look at for commonly agreed upon lore or themes?

Search for stuff from DeSkel15, fdsasef_p, Bingoogus, and Moonflare. They always have good lore conversations, and (most of) their past comments are worth a read.

Gonna thank you for the mention given that I'm new here, and would like to point out that DeSkel15 really goes the extra mile, and I can only wish I had the dedication to transcribe every quote as he does - cause it really helps when reading on the mobile.

you could also line up some topics or specific questions and we can all create a conversation from there. Past week has been a lot about Nodoka in general (given Nodokathon) - and we could all use another topic.

Sure. Here is one. Why do yall think that Maya is related to Hope and not the wire God? (From what I am skimming through DeSkel15s messages right now) Please bear with me I am low IQ so I could be totally off or missed stuff but I thought she was an offspring of the wire god as: The weird council of Mayas all have hex names which is machine like, she doesnt go to the old district where I am pretty sure the machine god is buried though also tied with her thing with Noriko, lots of Maya nailed to crosses and other things paralleling Jesus and being the child of a god, she was threatened to be rebooted in the scare room by the machine god whom I thought was being mimiced by hope or the other god to fuck with her, and her name is Maya a programming language.

My thought was she was a part of the machine god that broke away. Which I recall a big thing was saying the machine god in the exposition dump was it never actively participated, at least before, and only tried to correct things like all the errors Akira sees when shit gets too messed up it steps in. Sending an avatar out to reset the universe is pretty on brand of only stepping in when things are wrong.

Then the Romeo and Juliet/star loves metaphor with her and protag, I was pretty sure Akira is a spawn of Hope literally trying to breed in a new generation of worshipers. Which would then set him up on the Montague and her the... uhh other one. I slept through lit class.

In regards to the earlier topic of what exactly Maya did in the past that led to his second disappearence;

Noriko in her first hallway event drops the line: "Oh, right. I forgot the public part was the first link in the chain of events that lead to us being seperated once more." And I think there might be more stuff implying something similar later on, but I can't remember specifics.
I've always had the distinct impression that whatever happened almost totally outed Akira's relationship with Maya and forced him to disappear for a while (and potentially made him go into one of his catatonic states?). Honestly I've had my suspicions he was totally outed in the past, but I have no clue how that could have been covered up well enough for him to become an actual teacher.

So, "has Maya ever been a normal girl?" I think should be the primary question. If she ever was, then when (if) has she stopped being one? The only real confirmed entity to hate her is Sekai, the events of the Scary Room are weird - but there are angels there, and adding to that, it just doesn't feel like something Wires would do (these angels talk about how Maya is prettier in the chair though, which could point out about Maya being Am I Okay). And if Maya is Am I Okay, in one of the early Happy Events, we see that Am I Okay became an angel (possibly against her will).

There is also a lot to be said about Maya and possibily Ami being the children of stars (I forgot the proper term), which is a topic from early in the happy events that made a comeback with Nao-chan in update 0.40.

Anyway, it's a lot to cover and not enough evidence at the moment unfortunately.

And most importantly... why did you delete half the text :([/spoiler]
Because it was super confusing lol - the first part mostly went into detail about the possibility of time-travel, which is a topic that maybe should have its own post and at the moment is kind of weak.

There is an event called Loxosceles Reclusa (Noriko's event), which is Akira's first date with Noriko, where she talks a lot about their past with Maya, and most of it is redacted. But, she mentions that after the tutoring sessions were over, she once saw Akira walking with someone on the old district, she ran to finally be with him again, but that the person he was with did something on the streets with him. It could very well be what you're suggesting, and that Maya maybe outted their relationship so that they would have no option but to flee that place.

This would also fit with new Maya's declaration of "doing her job perfectly" in terms of hiding their relationship. Since it would forever be something that she has to compensate for the previous blunder (perhaps intentional).

This event also has a possible time-travel happening as Akira mind wanders back to an event in chapter 1, but as I said, time-travel adds another layer to a puzzle that's already very complicated.
