The review below me "NaotoUzumaki1001" is COMPLETELY FALSE. Everything that was said in their review was them twisting words of the dev because they were an all-round dick and got banned from the discord for being too much of said dick. Proof is in pages 37-39 (get a good laugh from his absolutely pathetic "I unalived myself" message on page 39. You won't regret it, it's hilarious)

Okay, rant aside, onto the game itself. The game is still in development, so I'll base my review on what's in the game so far.

The main reason why we are all here, is because we didn't like the way that the Kuroinu canon played out and we wanted to change it. Well, here you can do exactly that, you do indeed change canon and prevent all the rapey stuff from happening to the waifus.

For those who want to see Vult/his goon absolutely destroyed mortal kombat style? That might have to wait a bit. Okay, maybe it won't be THAT gory, but I really believe that he will get absolutely destroyed in the endgame.

For the harem? From what I heard, every main girl excluding Lulu (because she's too much of a loli, and will get the entire project nuked if she's lewded because Patreon rules) would be included. For Claudia, she's a bit of a grey zone, since she's married to Klaus (who doesn't die), and you end up with a polyamorous relationship with her.

Bugs? Well, are certainly a few of them, but nothing gamebreaking from what I've played. As for the gameplay? It falls a bit short there, since it's standard RPGM stuff, but hopefully that might get a revamp.

Overall? I would have subtracted one star for the not-so-great gameplay, but I added it back purely because it's a Kuroinu fan game, and there's so little out there

The game is bad, there is a corruption system that makes Volt and his allies morph into monsters, While nice in principle, it hurts the narrative as corruption equals death meaning this mechanism is pointless as a theme or gameplay mechanic as you are penalized for choices.

There is no harem, if you're here for any Harem ending this isn't for you, Luu-Luu is not H-Able or Romanceable. Claudia is shared with her husband Klaus meaning that her romance is pointless... you are fucking her to make her husband worth it when he does the same shit as in the original work which is a worthless plot device.

Celestine will be so drugged up and rape you and you will rape her to save the world which is hypocritical as the game is about many of that in general. The nun orgy if you do unlock it raising your corruption is proof of that and that isn't the only instance of hypocrisy.

When you save Kaguya Alicia will tell Olga to shut up if Kaguya doesn't want to talk about what almost happened but all 8 other girls will peer pressure you to rape Celestine to save the world and if you don't apologize you get corruption which I may remind you folks that she was so drugged up that she also raped the player.

The girls will peer pressure you and their hypocrisy is showing late game along with the losing them itself which is not being a horny rapist like Vult and his men and yet will be encouraged in the end game.

So yes the game may be start off strong but it loses so much going forward that it isn't worth it. You can tell the guy is simply doing it because he is tired and doesn't care anymore. What was once a great game is now losing it steam so be aware with this review even if the Celestine part isn't yet that it will happen.

The author also clearly didn't like that he was questioned as I was on his discord, he doesn't want to fix plotholes, and he doesn't want to redo his work. Expect a game at the end where the guy is so tired that he is sacrificing quality so he can finish it faster.

A third of ladies are not worth it as mentioned and even then the final boss Kuroinu, a dark god possessing and helping Vult is garbage. There is no dark god, Celestine gave up on humanity in the original, it's why she never warned people and she was at war with Olga for 600 years meaning the men are sick of women in power... dark gods were never involved.

This is simply someone who by the end assassinating the characters from the original in Liquid Studios

    Well, what can I say?

I love the setting of the original, but not much into the rape stuff, but still wanted to experience the story and then I found this gem~

The art is good, the story is great, I'll continue to watch this game grow!

Thank you game developer for this lovely treat!

This game is actually good. I was originally put off by the odd art style, but it's grown on me. The main draw for this game is the writing and story; the characters are charming and the world feels more fleshed out than the original story. If this game gets finished, I'd recommend doing a vanilla twist with other ntr-esque games; especially the Taimanin Asagi series.

    Version 2.9.2
    Rating 3.6

WARNING - the compressed version doesn't seem to be updated to 3.8

GOOD game overall, It would deserve a 4 if not for the engine and a 5 with more porn content, so far, it feels like a regular RPGM game with some hot chicks.

    PROS
    - Original ART, wether you like it or not (could be better but I like it better than generic one)
    - Interesting story
    - Choices, i'm not sure they matter though

    CONS
    - The engine, skipping / fast reading through the verbose parts is annoying because choices pop up out of nowhere
    - The encounter rate is too high
    - Generic RPGM combat ...
    - Where is the porn? I only played a few hours but nothing so far...

I have played this game for a long time now and can confidently say that it is one of the best parody games out there heck if I could i would call it the actual game because of just how good the game itself is. Unlike the og game which was just rape this heroine and rape that one this game has a solid story with good explantion on the dark elfs race and elfs race begin so small while at the same time having an mc that isnt a pussy additonally you can date the heroines and even have endings with them which makes it all the more worth. Now for villians it does it perfectly making and fleshing each of the villians out on why they take their actions why they do what they do and just how evil they are and how little regard they have for others and only care for sex and taking of things which in my opinion makes the game even better.

If you are the type of person that somewhat disgust by the original story or women mistreatment, this is the recommended fangame and/or alternative story.
Be warned though, this game has a choice pop-up during cutscene so scroll the dialogue slowly.

It's really good for what it's try to be which is pretty much is being an alternate/What If scenario of Kuroinu and in which Olga's Group and the Seven Princess are given a chance to avoid their fate while adding some additional lore like how exactly a Mercenary Group like Kuroinu was able to do what they did in canon and much more.

At this point though where it fail is Gameplay which while the actual game play is not bad it's pretty standard as far as I can tell. It does suffer little bit from other factors which said problems affect the time frame in between Story Chapters as they can be bit long for some people due to how long the dungeons are.

The worse of it is the Encounter Rate or rather how much it is which further pads the game with already long dungeons that feels like a Crawl.

Before the Patch (There was a Patch that lowered the Encounter rate) I managed to get most of my characters to Level 50-60 by the time I was on the Fortress Maia was and when I recruited Maia well she's at late 20s to early 30s in Levels.

This is due to me not running away as I felt like running away from fights would be moot because I would just level grind anyway but the amount of fight that I have should not have allowed me to reach those levels because
every few steps or so there's always a battle, the Patch does fix this somewhat but not really that much as it's still bad just not unbearable but still.

So yea if you're a fan of Kuroinu and wanted like a Game in which the Girls would be saved from their Fate and even date them so here's a Game.

Just don't expect a Harem as that's seem to be not a choice at and be especially wary about the Encounter Rates as even with the patch it can still be quite a slog to play.

Also a small note and a bit of a Spoiler I guess.

It would have been really hard to program this especially this would lead to all new scenario but it would have been an interesting if there was an alternate story if you accepted Vult's offer during the Castle.

If this Game was Finished it would have been a good DLC like idea to do.

    [v2.9.1]
This is not your average parody game.
Normally I avoid porn parodies, especially games, but this one hooked me up immediately.
I love “If” scenarios, and a more wholesome/vanilla Kuroinu one was always an interesting idea, people made fanfictions and other stuff about it, but those really never felt “Kuroinu”, those felt like seething cathartic explosion made by anger than fluid fictions.
But this one really hits the spot, I can see that is made with great care for the Kuroinu universe or at least to make it feel real.
The long introduction is really great! Sets off all the story points and characters in an amazing way.
There are choices that change the story and characters in subtle or impactful ways, characters that before were just apparitions or had one side personality are fleshed out.
The writing is smooth, it doesn’t feel forced.
Dialogues change as things happen in static places, there is almost a description for every item in the overworld, there are secrets and even choices for your class.
For the gameplay, it’s your typical RPG turn based combat, nothing original but it’s well done, even if some dungeons can be annoying for the spawnrate but it's not grindy.
    The only cons are:
    - The spawn rate is sometimes annoying especialy with the insects enemies
    - Some stast can be adjusted
    - There are some bugs or crashes (But those are few)
All of these cons can be easily adjusted and as I saw the developer really ixed some other worse bugs.
The game is more focused on the story than the sex, it's more of an entire retelling of the Kuroinu saga which is really good but don't expect sex scenes everywhere.
Also there is a great romance and relationships are slowly build up in a nice way, with the MC and other characters.
The art style may be not the cup of tea of everyone but I find it charming and cute.
I had really fun playing this, especially reading, choosing and exploring, give It a try if ya want.

I haven't finished it yet, but so far I've loved what I've read. The writing really is the strong point of this game. If not for the art, it would feel like an official story. The art isn't "terrible," but it really does pale when compared to the great writing, of which there's a lot. Lots of dialogue whether it be main characters, npcs, or just descriptions of objects and books littered throughout the world.

The gameplay is pretty good. You generally make quick work of enemies who can't hurt you too bad, but some of the have certain attacks that can decimate your hp if you get unlucky and they spam it. It especially becomes a problem with big groups of enemies, which there are a lot of. You can get stun-locked and debuffed and whittled down by some groups pretty easily. It can surprisingly vary in difficulty with some enemies not being able to hurt you, and others wrecking your team, so it's a constant tug-of-war of difficulty. My main problem with combat is how frequent random-encounters occur. It's as frequent as wild pokemon battles, but there are no safe-zones. Anyway, this is definitely leaning more on the "game" side of being a "porn-game." It does have romance and sex between characters, but it takes a while, and the art may not reach the standards of players used to better art in their porn-games.

    TL:dR
Writing/Story Great. Gameplay Good. Art ...ehh.

Naturally, there are some bugs. Here are some I found.
    - When NPCs require an item to be given to them, the game thinks I don't have the item even though I can see it in my inventory (energy potion, antidote.)
    - When you reach the summoning circle in the dark elf tunnels, lighting all the torches to activate it and summon a treasure chest locks the game into a loop of the screen flashing with the teleport sound repeating. You have to restart the game.
-Prim's spell, Clear eyes, has the same description as Clear Voice.
    Worst of all
-Reaching Maya's fortress results in a progress stopping bug:
    ---------------------------
    Kuroinu: Rebellion
    ---------------------------
Script 'Window_Selectable' line 61: ZeroDivisionError occurred.

    divided by 0

I'm really looking forward to playing more of this game when it's fixed, and look forward to more from the developer, whether it be this or any new original projects.
