A bit of both, but mainly due to images being uncompressed (as shown by the compressed version being under 1 GB).
Devs who refuse to use WEBP or high quality JPG (JPGXL support when, Ren'Py...) are either lazy or haven't grasped the basics of sharing files online.
P.S. The torrent will be out... soon.

i think the view angle(from the mc´s pov) is a bit weirdHow tall is the mc?
he´s not a shorty (see at the beginning , the reporter wearing heels)
this weird angle is clear to see as he speaks with aimee and alice - at both scenes he is at the same height as the woman - but alice is clearly a bit shorter than aimee
