Patreon's statement is not completely clear. What does portrayed mean to them? In the 1st paragraph they defined that combination of petite and school uniform is absolutely no go. In second they said Runey needs to take steps to ENSURE she is more clearly portrayed as an adult, which points that they expect things to be changed. In paragraph no3 they state they cant wait to review anything Runey has to show that is as-is at the moment or after the expected changes.
To me, the way their reply was written points that they expect changes to be made. I may be wrong, that is why I suggested Runey clarifies this with them.
Yes, here is what I'll be sending them to prove she's over the age of 18, clearly an adult, and so on.

I'm willing to bet that will make zero difference to them. She does kind of look vaguely underage, whether you intended that or not and a few lines of "HEY I'M 18" dialogue won't matter to them. The only question is whether you are prepared to let them undermine your artistic integrity by caving to their demands and taking her out of the game or if you're going to take the temporary monetary hit and switch platforms.

The fact that they talked about context seems to show they aren't inflexible about it.
Edit: though you might be right about them caring only about the visual appearance.

They specifically asked for further context if I wanted to argue my point as well. So they're clearly up for me proving she's an adult.

Context didn't seem to matter much when Sargon called some Nazis the N-word to trigger them on a livestream completely removed from Patreon, so I wouldn't bet on Patreon's "Trust and Safety Team" to be understanding of the "context" in any situation.
Maybe it'll be different. I'm just saying be mentally prepared to get fucked. And think about fallback plans.
Edit: Also it's funny that the "N-word" gets automatically censored on here. I always thought having to say "the N-word" was infantile, but I guess I have no other choice.

But in that case they did that due to high public exposure. I'm sure they are more than willing to keep a blind eye when stuff isn't in the spotlight.
They just don't want people rallying against them.

There's a reason why they wrote some of their guidelines in very unclear ways, it's so the rule can be flexible and suit their reasoning whenever they want. Their wordy guidelines could really be summed as "If we don't like your shit, we can ban you whenever we want ", if they had just grab their balls and be honest, more power to them, their site their rules, but instead Jack Conte went on youtube to try to teach me about "Manifest Observable Behavior".
From Patreon's point of view, someone on their site used a hateful term. Context did really matter of course, and he shouldn't have been banned for that, but as random.guy said, it blew up. Now "everybody" (huge quotes there) thinks someone using Patreon hates black people.
Patreon did actually ask Sargon to publically apologize to saying what he said and he would be unbanned (So people would get off of Patreon's backs about this) but Sargon didn't budge (rightfully so, he had nothing to be sorry about).
That case was a PR move for Patreon.

It's good that you're clear-eyed about Patreon's actions, but you're basically saying "yeah, they arbitrarily ban people, but I'm relying on my case not attracting enough media attention to make them do that."
That's a pretty tenuous situation to stake your livelihood on. I'm not saying DELETE YOUR PATREON TODAY IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE COMMON MAN but maybe it would be wise to think of an exit strategy before it's too late. Sure, keep your Patreon account if they don't ban you, but maybe pick an alternate platform and promote that in the future for new people to sign up to.

What many people seem to miss is that Patreon is a company. They're interested in their profit margin. The Sargon situation was a huge PR clusterfuck, so they gave him an option: Apologize or fuck off. It's that simple. I doubt Runey's situation will end with Runey off the platform. Yeah, it's not a solid ground to stand on just to say "well it's not a huge PR issue, so it's probably gonna be resolved without major issues" But honestly, it's right now probably the best.
In my opinion, it is well proven Patreon can and will fuck with people on the platform on very shaky reasons, so if I were Runey I'd look for possible alternatives to Patreon as something to fall back on in a worst case scenario.

It wasn't a huge PR clusterfuck until Patreon made it one. Nobody gives a fuck what Sargon does on some third-rate livestream except for fans of Sargon and obsessive haters of Sargon. The mainstream media isn't clamoring for news about Sargon of Akkad. This whole thing would have blown over in two days if Patreon hadn't decided to sperg out. Wasn't the livestream even like two weeks old when Patreon banned him? I can't remember all the details anymore because the story was that fucking stupid.
